Contested deletion edit

This page should not be speedy deleted as an attack or a negative unsourced biography of a living person, because the page, quite obviously, does not intend to attack anyone or show them in a negative light.

Counter-arguments to the accusation of being negative or attacking the subject edit

The page,

  1. Makes a mention of said subject(Alice Garg) opening the first National Seashell Museum in India and appreciates the collection of over 3000 seashells in the museum.
  2. Appreciates her work as Founder Secretary of Bal Rashmi Society
  3. The page also mentions her views on feminism and her Gandhian ideals.
  4. Mentions the Bal Rashmi Society being cleared of all criminal charges. The section, "In the News" was written only to provide an unbiased view of the subject and was written to bring to notice the problems that social workers may face in India. Further the references included are from Amnesty International, and its recognition of the National Human Rights Commision's report on the mistreatment of some members of the Bal Rashmi Society.

I agree that the biography is missing certain important details like Alice Garg's birth date, but I am working on that.

I wish to contest the allegations that the page was intended to attack Alice Garg or show her in a bad light.

The problems that made me tag this page is words describing her as an agitator, how she retailiates or etc. At least to me it appears to be a WP:COATRACK Hell In A Bucket (talk) 07:09, 13 March 2013 (UTC)Reply
I'm willing to rephrase the "agitator" bit. She is an activist, and I see nothing wrong with her "retaliating". Further, I think the presence of those words impacted the article minimally when the major portion of the article had praise for her altruistic endeavours. I wish you had edited it instead of marking it for speedy deletion, seemingly ignoring the general light of the article which saw her as a social reformer.Aruna Sankaranarayanan 07:18, 13 March 2013 (UTC)
