Reasoning behind my edit to the lead
editI've removed most of the main lead para, as it lifted almost verbatim the majority of Cricinfo's bio text. Unless we have explicit permission to use it (which I can't see anywhere) we must not do that. I've rewritten some of the information in my own words, buyt I'm not very knowledgeable about Mendis, so I hope others here will be able to restore the information without using chunks of copyrighted text from elsewhere. (Please remember that just changing the odd word is not sufficient; our articles must be properly in our own words.) Thanks! Loganberry (Talk) 14:10, 22 July 2008 (UTC)
Height
editSorry, in the detail section it say height 6.6ft (1.98m) I'm almost certain that he isn't that tall. JohnWoodPack — Preceding unsigned comment added by JohnWoodPack (talk • contribs) 13:54, 13 August 2012 (UTC)
