Suchitra Karthik Kumar (born Suchitra Ramadurai, 14 Aug 1982), known by the mononym Suchitra, is an Indian Tamil radio jockey and Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu playback singer. She sang over 100 songs in three languages. She is married to former actor turned stand-up comedian Karthik Kumar.

Early lifeEdit

Born and brought up in Chennai, Suchitra is a B.Sc. graduate from Mar Ivanios College (Trivandrum). Later on she moved to Coimbatore for her MBA (PSG Institute of Management). She was part of a music band at PSG.[1]

CareerEdit

Suchitra joined Sify for a year, after graduating. She responded to an ad for the post of an RJ in Radio Mirchi.[2] She became known as Rj Suchi, with her popular morning show Hello Chennai. Her distinct and bold voice made her very popular with the younger crowd. She still does a radio show called Flight983 on Radio Mirchi, on Sunday evenings (7-9 pm). The show deals with interesting international happenings.[3][4]

She started singing after a few years as RJ.[5] She also worked as a dubbing artist for popular heroines like Shriya Saran.[6]

Her career as a playback singer now spans Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam films and she has several hits in all these languages to her credit. Suchitra is a sought-after performer at Corporate and other such stage shows. She has also been appreciated for her honest and positive-humour-filled judging at Reality Shows like Vijay TV's Airtel Super Singer, Sun TV's Sun Singer, Asianet's Music India, and Bol Baby Bol on Gemini TV and Surya TV. 'Music I Like', an album of Suchitra's renditions of Mahakavi Bharatiyaar's poetry, set to contemporary tunes and music, released by Universal Music, was a turning point in her career.

Suchitra is now a singer/songwriter as well, composing music on her own and in collaboration with Singer Ranjith. Their YouTube channel 'Suchi and Ranjith' has all their updated work.[7]

She wrote a short story, a graphic illustration of an episode in the life of a black peppercorn called Kuru-Milaku, called "The Runaway Peppercorn".[8]

ControversyEdit

On Feb 20, 2017, Suchitra tweeted potshots at Actor Dhanush. It was a series of inflammatory tweets that slammed Actor Dhanush.

On Feb 24, 2017, Suchitra's husband Karthick Kumar clarified that the Suchitra's twitter account was hacked and all the tweets published last few days were not by Suchi and is completely false.

On Mar 3, 2017, Suchitra released few intimate photos of celebrities like Dhanush, Anirudh, Trisha, Haniska Motwani, Amala Paul, Sanchita Shetty, Andrea Jeremiah, Tamannah, Poonam Bajwa, Dhivya Dharshini, Chimayi, Shruti Hassan, Anuya and Shruthi Ramakrishnan. And for few more celebrities were yet to be released in which celebrities like Nayanthara, Samantha, Kajal Agarwal and Keerthi Suresh were on the list.

Suchitra was in unconscious.so,she doesn't know what's happening around her.FBI crime Has taken the action, and still it's on the process.already got an evidence which is important to find the culprit.indian police and FBI will find the culprit as soon as possible.[9]
