Why Connecticut College Camels edit

Connecticut College Camels should be changed to Connecticut Camels.-TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 17:16, 6 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

No, I don't think so. "Connecticut College" is the short name for the school to differentiate it from "Connecticut", which is the UConn Huskies, aka Connecticut Huskies. I don't see the harm in "Connecticut Camels" being an alias for "Connecticut College Camels", but "Connecticut College Camels" should be the prime name. Jweiss11 (talk) 18:12, 6 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
There are other examples of this, such as 'Colorado College Tigers' instead of 'Colorado Tigers', 'Georgia College Bobcats', 'Illinois College Blueboys' etc., so this is not an uncommon practice. PensRule11385 (talk) 13:51, 9 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

North Greenville Trailblazers edit

North Greenville University has renamed its teams from "Crusaders" to North Greenville Trailblazers, effective June 15 of this year. We should reflect that change with an alias for the old name in this module. Jweiss11 (talk) 18:16, 6 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

Pppery, Paine Ellsworth, Dale Arnett, harlesaaronthompson: can one of you make this change? Thanks, Jweiss11 (talk) 02:42, 18 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
Done. — Dale Arnett (talk) 04:51, 18 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

Request to update the DuPage Chaparrals in the list of college colors.

@Thetreesarespeakingtome: "DuPage Chaparrals" doesn't seem to be here at all. Did you mean to say "request to add the DuPage Chaparrals"? * Pppery * it has begun... 16:55, 19 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
I just used the same terminology I’ve used previously when having teams added, but yes, using ‘add’ opposed to ‘update’ would have worked better here. Thetreesarespeakingtome (talk) 18:38, 19 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

Change ["Georgia Gwinnett Grizzlies"] = {"006341", "FFFFFF", "A2AAAD", name1="green", name3="gray", cite=""GEORGIA GWINNETT COLLEGE". Retrieved March 5, 2022."}

to

["Georgia Gwinnett Grizzlies"] = {"006341", "A2AAAD", "D3BC8D" name1="green", name2="gray", name3="Vegas gold", cite=""Branding and Licensing". Retrieved May 23, 2024."} Young Zaphod IV (talk) 22:54, 23 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

I used two different, independent RGB → HEX converters:
and both agreed on different codes when converted to HEX from the RGB codes given in the source. So the entry will be changed to:
["Georgia Gwinnett Grizzlies"] = {"006952", "AEB5BC", "E5D1A9", name1="green", name2="gray", name3="Vegas gold", cite=""Branding and Licensing". Retrieved May 23, 2024."},
