Update

To everyone at the teahouse: thank you for all the advice and wishing me well. I was very sick the past few days and had to be on a ventilator. When they took me off I found out my parents are splitting up because my mom wanted to tell me it doesn’t look good and my dad wanted to keep it a secret. So right now, I guess you guys are the only family I have.

They switched me to pain control so I can function, but I’m still too weak to do all the editing you guys do, so I guess I won’t get to be an admin. Some kids in my position want to meet their favorite football player or go on a date with someone famous, but all I wanted was to be a Wikipedia admin. ~S.Brendan.S~ (talk) 03:11, 27 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm Donner60. An edit you recently made to Shadow of the Tomb Raider seemed to be a test and has been removed. If you want more practice editing, the sandbox is the best place to do so. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Donner60 (talk) 03:54, 28 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did with this edit to Shadow of the Tomb Raider. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted or removed. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Repeated vandalism can result in the loss of editing privileges. Thank you. Donner60 (talk) 03:58, 28 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

why is wveryone trying to undo me?? All I wanted was to be ab admin but they reject me and say I have to edit lost of articles even though I said Im too weak and I dont have much time. I’m trying really hard ~S.Brendan.S~ (talk) 04:03, 28 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Shadow of the Tomb Raider, you may be blocked from editing.
Your edits have been automatically marked as vandalism and have been automatically reverted. The following is the log entry regarding this vandalism: Shadow of the Tomb Raider was changed by ~S.Brendan.S~ (u) (t) ANN scored at 0.862638 on 2018-04-28T04:08:00+00:00 .

Thank you. ClueBot NG (talk) 04:08, 28 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

I reverted your edits because you inserted the phrase "who died earliee." Perhaps this is a typo and you meant something else. There is no word "earliee" so I assumed that your edit was disruptive, especially because you did not notice the problem after the first message. If you simply made a mistake, then there is no problem. However, your spelling (maybe your typing) and grammar need improvement before you can be a productive editor. I encourage you to improve and not be in a rush. (I have read your user page and I see your concern about being in a rush. I sincerely hope that you will recover and I encourage you to keep up your hope. Nonetheless, you cannot rush into being an administrator Wikipedia:Advice for RfA candidates and you need to take more care with your edits. You might read the following Wikipedia pages before you proceed much further.

Wikipedia is not therapy

While I sympathize with your health situation, and sincerely wish you all the best for a speedy recovery, please note that Wikipedia is not therapy. Your aspirations to become an administrator are admirable. But it is the quality of your work, and your understanding of Wikipedia's numerous policies and guidelines, that will determine the success or failure of that endeavour. Adminship is privilege that is earned over time by building trust and confidence in your abilities with Wikipedia's community of editors.

If you look at Wikipedia:Requests for adminship, you will see that adminship is a process that carefully scrutinizes an editor's history and subjects them to a peer review process. You simply have not been here long enough to demonstrate the level of competence and trust required for this status. Maybe someday you will, but it will have to be earned. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 04:52, 28 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Do you know what it’s like to be 13 years old and not have the rest of your life ahead of you? To want just one last small thing to make you feel special, and then have it stomped on by bullies? “Maybe someday you will”? Is that a sick joke? ~S.Brendan.S~ (talk) 05:12, 28 April 2018 (UTC)Reply
I suspect you're a troll, but if you really are a dying 13 year old, making contributions like the ones you have made at Terms of My Surrender will not endear you to anyone, and will likely lead to you being blocked from editing Wikipedia. You're not going to become an admin just because you say you're dying, don't even bother. You can attain immortality by writing a featured article, especially one on some topic such as Bag or Teacher that is normally ignored by the editors here. power~enwiki (π, ν) 06:45, 28 April 2018 (UTC)Reply
@Power~enwiki: Please dont accuse me of being a troll, I don’t need insult added to injury right now. Anyway I’m sorry, I’m just upset because I’m dying so I hope you can forgive me. ~S.Brendan.S~ (talk) 16:31, 28 April 2018 (UTC)Reply
@Power~enwiki: I also looked into RfA like other people including the bully Drm310 recommended. Are you sure you’re not just bitter? ~S.Brendan.S~ (talk) 16:42, 28 April 2018 (UTC)Reply
No, power~enwiki is absolutely right. If you've looked through RfA, you should realize that you will not become an administrator anywhere in the near future, especially with vandalism on your recent track record, and calling Drm310 a bully for giving you constructive feedback is also not how we do things here. Your illness is simply irrelevant and is no excuse for disrupting other editors from making the encyclopedia better. I claim that no one who is solely here to become an administrator ever actually achieves that goal, because only editors who are truly here to build an encyclopedia ever attain the experience of building articles, doing maintenance, and having good judgment. As the editors at the Teahouse mentioned, this experience is usually built of a period of years. I suggest you either (1) stop telling everyone you want to be an admin, or (2) find somewhere else besides Wikipedia to spend your time. Mz7 (talk) 19:46, 28 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

April 2018

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 31 hours for trying to harm Wikipedia intentionally even after receiving a final warning. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Mz7 (talk) 07:33, 28 April 2018 (UTC)Reply
That was my mom and I told her not to say anything or se would just make it worst. mom why couldbt you listen??? ~S.Brendan.S~ (talk) 00:42, 29 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

~S.Brendan.S~ (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

I’m really sorry that my mom came on here. I told her not to but she didn’t listen. I promise, I wasn’t trying to deceive anyone. I’m also really sorry for disrupting those 2 articles and I promise I won’t do it again, I just got upset because of everything I’m going through. Please unblock me, I just don’t want to go away without getting a chance to say goodbye and apologize to everyone here for having cancer and upsetting them because of it. I promise I won’t bother anyone, please. I just want to edit one last time. It’s all I want and then I will go away forever and you’ll never hear from me again I promise ~S.Brendan.S~ (talk) 01:39, 29 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

Whether you are a troll or not, or you have cancer or not, you don't have the needed maturity to edit Wikipedia. Until we can be assured that you do and that you are being honest with us, you can't be unblocked. I am declining this request and removing talk page access. If you wish to make another legitimate appeal, you can use WP:UTRS.331dot (talk) 08:29, 29 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

  • The central question that you need to answer is whether you are WP:HERE to contribute to the encyclopedia. I'm sorry to hear that you apparently have terminal cancer but at the same time, you will not be unblocked unless it is clear that you have the maturity required to edit Wikipedia without causing problems. You need to also understand that there is virtually no chance that you will become an administrator anytime soon: Wikipedia:Adminship is not for new users.--Jasper Deng (talk) 02:00, 29 April 2018 (UTC)Reply
@Jasper Deng: I am here to contribute to Wikipedia I promise! It’s all I want to do with the time I have left. I tried to prove myself worthy yesterday but I was shaking with a fever and I made typing mistakes, then they said I was being disruptive and I got upset. I shouldn’t of done that and I apologize for it and promise I won’t do it again. I want to be remembered as a Wikipedia editor but I can’t do that when I’m blocked. I promise I learned my lesson and I only want to contribute constructively. ~S.Brendan.S~ (talk) 02:08, 29 April 2018 (UTC)Reply
@Jasper Deng: Socking, trolling, WP:!HERE. Time for a talk page adjustment, IMO. Septrillion (talk) 03:42, 29 April 2018 (UTC)Reply
@Septrillion: I am here to help contribute to Wikipedia! Like I said, I was just upset and did some things I regret but I learned my lesson! I just want a second chance to be remembered as a Wikipedia editor. I’m not “trolling” either but what is socking and why are you saying these things about me? I just want a chance, please. Please dont punish me more than I already have for my mistakes. ~S.Brendan.S~ (talk) 04:17, 29 April 2018 (UTC)Reply
You know what you did! Septrillion (talk) 04:19, 29 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

I swear I have no ide what you’re talking about! ~S.Brendan.S~ (talk) 04:20, 29 April 2018 (UTC)−Reply

Yes you do. We all know what you did! You attempted to gain adminship by convincing everyone you were terminally ill and that adminship was your dying wish, then you went on a vandalism spree. Then when you were blocked, you logged out and edited the teahouse again, this time as "mom" (see WP:BROTHER), and complained that you/your son were being "bullied". Septrillion (talk) 04:35, 29 April 2018 (UTC)Reply
@Septrillion: I am not lying! I couldn’t keep my mom from saying anything and I wish she didn’t; now no one believes me and you are here on my talk page rubbing it in my face. I have never interacted with you until you came here saying thqt my talk page needs to be adjusted. I dont know what you’re trying tp accomplish by mocking me. ~S.Brendan.S~ (talk) 04:45, 29 April 2018 (UTC)Reply
Even if you aren't trolling, it is clear that you have competence issues. Septrillion (talk) 04:54, 29 April 2018 (UTC)Reply
Sometimes I shake and have fevers and everything is blurry, I can’t help it but I’m sorry. Why do you want me to be punished even more than I alseady have been? I havent done anything to you or said anythinf bad about you. ~S.Brendan.S~ (talk) 05:12, 29 April 2018 (UTC)Reply
I'm sorry about your cancer, but I don't think Wikipedia is for you. Septrillion (talk) 05:40, 29 April 2018 (UTC)Reply
Drmies Thanks for the heads up, your judgement on this matter is fine with me. 331dot (talk) 07:49, 5 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

I've locked the page indefinitely.

I'm having a very hard time believing that a sincerely bereaved mother would prioritize an account they were responsible for getting blocked, especially given her reaction to Wikipedia's refusal to make her son an admin just because he's dying. (Assuming that's not just trolling).

Even assuming all that was the case, that there has been no dishonesty, and that the mother decided that the healthiest and sanest way to deal with her loss was to come to a site she believes bullied her son, the mother has demonstrated enough gaps in knowledge of Wikipedia's policies that I do not believe she'd find the deceased Wikipedian template on her own.

To the mother: If you have been telling the truth this entire time, I'm very sorry for your loss. But if you care about your son's continued image here, then just stop and walk away. Continued disruptive editing will only cause us to conclude that you are trolling the site in an offensively ghoulish manner, because there are some really sick people on the internet who very well would pretend to be the mother of a dying child just to mess with people. If you do nothing, this account will either be forgotten or your claims will be taken at face value. If you try to push us, people will assume you were just another troll.

Ian.thomson (talk) 23:17, 9 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

It's just a sock trolling. I blocked some additional accounts as well.--Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 23:20, 9 July 2018 (UTC)Reply
@Ponyo: That's largely my assumption, too, but I'm trying to cover bases just in case. Could you list some of the accounts involved here or at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/~S.Brendan.S~ so the rest of us (or at least me) could be more certain? Ian.thomson (talk) 23:30, 9 July 2018 (UTC)Reply
