Replaceable fair use File:Chandoli National Park Wildlife.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Chandoli National Park Wildlife.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 22:51, 25 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

File source problem with File:Sagareshwar Wildlife.jpg edit

Thank you for uploading File:Sagareshwar Wildlife.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. Recent edit to Atpadi edit

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that you removed some content from Atpadi without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; I restored the removed content. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you!   Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Disambiguation link notification for December 7 edit

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Palus, Maharashtra, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Vita and Palus (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 20:37, 7 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

Hi, regarding this edit of yours, we don't add Indic script in India-related articles. Please read WP:NOINDICSCRIPT for more details. Thanks Vivek Ray (talk) 04:07, 1 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

Sangli edit

Hi there, re: these changes, if you look at the instructions for Template:Infobox settlement, you'll find that the |other_name= parameter is to be used "For places with a former or more common name like Bombay or Saigon", not for nicknames. Additionally, as Vivek Ray posted above, you shouldn't be including Indic script, per WP:NOINDICSCRIPT. And it's also unclear what you mean by "Drama House", as that could have several interpretations. Since there is no sourced content within the article that would provide context for that information, it's unclear why it would ever appear in the infobox. Since the infobox exists to summarise content found elsewhere in the article, please be sure to add the content in the article first (and with sources) before adding it to the infobox. Oh, and re: your query here, we don't use flags in the infobox, per WP:INFOBOXFLAG. Thank you. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 02:21, 1 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

I am going to go further than Cyphoidbomb because it is clear that you are refusing to accept the consensus of the Wikipedia community when it comes to contributing to articles such as Sangli. You are displaying signs of ownership also, so please note that if you reinstate anything at that or other articles concerning places in India without providing a reliable source to support your claim then I will be asking someone to prevent you from contributing here, either via a topic ban from such articles or by an outright block until you can demonstrate a willingness to co-operate in accordance with our policies and guidelines. If there is anything that you do not understand then please ask first.
Don't go around telling people what they can and cannot do, as you have been doing on my talk page and elsewhere, when you clearly have little idea yourself. Thanks. - Sitush (talk) 04:10, 1 July 2018 (UTC)Reply
I assumed it might be some sort of cultural/language nuance that I might be missing, but you are right Sitush, the user doesn't get to leave proclamations about unsourced content like "Notable people" at that article. These things should be sourced, and if they are removed, any attempt to restore should be discussed, and it doesn't matter whether or not the contributor lives in the region, there is no article ownership. We are all working on a community project. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 06:11, 1 July 2018 (UTC)Reply
Hello Vinayak9192, I got your message but other editors have already explained this aspect (MOS:INFOBOXFLAG). Please feel free to ask if you have any further questions. I'd be glad to help. GermanJoe (talk) 05:09, 1 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

JULY 2018 edit

Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did on Sangli. This violates Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. --Adamstraw99 (talk) 10:08, 1 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

Truth can't be changed. If you don't no nothing about the topic, why do you interfer man? This is not unsourced or the faul info and do not intimidate me for no reason

About "truth" I have already told you to read WP:NOTTRUTH, You are unable to understand basic things about editing here and now indulging in edit warring... If it is not unsourced then where are the sources? --Adamstraw99 (talk) 10:56, 1 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

Sankh moved to draftspace edit

An article you recently created, Sankh, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Sourcing edit

How many more warnings do you need about your edits to the Sangli article? There are loads above and I have just had to revert you again due to sourcing issues. I see that you have also had warnings about pasting copyrighted material into articles and I rather think that what you added to the Sangli one in the last month or so may fall into that category also. Where did you get the information from? - Sitush (talk) 06:28, 9 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

And I have just done it again because you reinstated copyrighted material. You're teetering close to a block for this now. Please ensure you understand the information at WP:COPYRIGHT and ask if you have any doubt. - Sitush (talk) 10:11, 4 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

Your draft article, Draft:Sankh (2) edit

Hello, Vinayak9192. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Sankh".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.
