I've disclosed on my personal user page. I left you a message on your other page seeking your guidance, but I'll leave it here too just in case! I'm very nervous about my first contributions to Wiki. I read this on wikipedia in reference to the disclosure: "They must do this on their main user page, or on the talk page accompanying any paid contributions, or in edit summaries." It says first I can do it on my main user page so I hope that works! I hope in the future to edit more pages and I might get paid by others and add it there too, unless you say the actual talk page is mandatory? Thank you again.Tuuzi (talk) 17:24, 11 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

Managing a conflict of interest edit

  Hello, Tuuzi. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Draft:Rahul M. Jindal, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the COI guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Theroadislong (talk) 19:21, 19 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for all your help on this page. I understand and fully disclosed this information about being paid. I'm just paid by him, he is not family or friend, but someone I met and worked with in the past who I simply realized there needed to be a wiki page about, so I started one and then he said "hey thanks, I'll compensate you with a gift card." I think I have covered everything in the disclosure statement.Tuuzi (talk) 19:35, 19 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

You can still find the archived discussion here. If you have any additional questions that weren't answered then, please create a new thread.
