Tokugawa Ieyasu

edit

The thread you started at Talk:Tokugawa Ieyasu#Date and Age confusion caught my eye.

In a tangentially-related thread at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Japan#East Asian age reckoning (permanent link), a constructive comment by HelloAnnyong seems worth posting here. It could be that the best answer to questions like this one may be found in the "fuzzy logic" of an approximating template -- {{Death year and age}} ...? --Tenmei (talk) 16:47, 11 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for submitting an article to Wikipedia. Your submission has been reviewed and has been put on hold pending clarification or improvements from you or other editors. Please take a look and respond if possible. You can find it at Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Aberdeen Student Show. Aberdeen Student Show, which you submitted to Articles for creation, has been created.

Thank you for helping Wikipedia!  Chzz  ►  19:42, 22 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

I have no idea why that was put 'on hold' with the reasoning "same source used 3 times" - nothing at all wrong with that; I've accepted it as a live article Aberdeen Student Show; I also moved your comment to the talk page, Talk:Aberdeen Student Show, and responded there. Thanks very much,  Chzz  ►  19:48, 22 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Welcome and introduction

Hi, Solaricon. This is NOT some automated message...it's from a real person. You can talk to me right now. Welcome to Wikipedia! I noticed you've just joined, and wanted to give you a few tips to get you started. If you have any questions, please talk to us. The tips below should help you to get started. Best of luck!  Chzz  ►  19:48, 22 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

ようこそ
  • You don't need to read anything - anybody can edit; just go to an article and edit it. Be Bold, but please don't put silly stuff in - it will be removed very quickly, and will annoy people.
  • Ask for help. Talk to us live, or edit this page, put {{helpme}} and describe what help you need. Someone will reply very quickly - usually within a few minutes.
  • Edit existing articles, before you make your own. Look at some subjects that you know about, and see if you can make them a bit better. For example, Wikipedia:Cleanup#2009.
  • When you're ready, read about Your first article. It should be about something well-known, and it will need references.

Good luck with editing; please drop me a line some time on my own talk page.

There's lots of information below. Once again, welcome to the fantastic world of Wikipedia!

Chat / Did you know

edit

Hi there.

Nice to chat to you online.

As discussed, the nomination is in Template talk:Did you know#Articles created/expanded on July 22; you can keep an eye on that; review often takes several days. If it disappears, it probably means it is accepted and in the queues, which are linked at the top of the page.

Best,  Chzz  ►  21:04, 22 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Blocking

edit

I am perplexed, and would appreciate advice. When I try to login to my account using my Safari web browser, I get a message saying my Wikipedia account is blocked - see details at end of this message. But when I log on to my account using another web browser I am able to login to my Wikipedia account perfectly okay. I have been a supporter, occasional editor, and financial contributor, to Wikipedia for many years now. This is just an annoyance, but I am not sure why it is happening at all.

The reason given is: There are multiple blocks against your account and/or IP address. Start of block: 12:17, 19 December 2022 Expiration of longest block: 00:24, 31 October 2024 Relevant block IDs: #11817871, #13663453, #1234398 (your IP address may also appear in a blocklist) Your current IP address is 2a04:4e41:14:2c::5c73:b27d. Please include all above details in any queries you make. Solaricon (talk) 12:42, 19 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
