Managing a conflict of interest edit

  Hello, RobMeagherSAT. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Draft:Sacred Attention Therapy, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Theroadislong (talk) 17:37, 30 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

And please stop your tendentious, and clearly promotional, editing at once. Your edits to Humanistic psychology, Transpersonal psychology, and Psychotherapy were wrong in several ways. Your inexperience with Wikipedia may excuse the fault of linking from an article to a draft, but a little thought will surely show that the material in a draft has in general had no oversight (and may in fact never become part of the encyclopaedia), and it is not appropriate to link to it from an article.
More serious is the nature of your edits: linking a general term ("spiritual aspiration/psychology") to one particular approach is, in my view, misleading, disruptive, and intellectually dishonest. --ColinFine (talk) 21:52, 12 February 2019 (UTC)Reply
I apologise: I've cooled down a little now, and I withdraw that last accusation. I understand, I think, that you believe that you have something so valuable that you have to tell the world about it. But that is not what Wikipedia is for. --ColinFine (talk) 22:35, 12 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

Copyright violation in Draft:Sacred Attention Therapy edit

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions to the page Draft:Sacred Attention Therapy, but for legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition was deleted under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion.

You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text—which means allowing other people to modify it—then you must include on the external site the statement "I, (name), am the author of this article, (article name), and I release its content under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 and later, and the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported License." You may also e-mail or mail the Foundation to release the content. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for more.

While we appreciate contributions, we must require all contributors to understand and comply with our copyright policy. Wikipedia takes copyright concerns very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here. You can also leave a message on my talk page.—Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 02:52, 14 February 2019 (UTC)Reply
