Speedy deletion nomination of User:Randeris4/sandbox

edit

A tag has been placed on User:Randeris4/sandbox requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section U5 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to consist of writings, information, discussions, and/or activities not closely related to Wikipedia's goals. Please note that Wikipedia is not a free web hosting service. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. creffett (talk) 00:07, 5 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

When you translate text from a foreign language Wikipedia you should provide attribution to the original authors in your edit summary and by adding a translation tag to the talk page, as I have done in this instance.

Birte Hornemann moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, Birte Hornemann, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. DGG ( talk ) 12:03, 6 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

Thank you so much. I will be aware of this and be careful in my writing to meet Wiki requirements and uphold its guidelines. Regards Randeris4 ( talk ) 13:17, 6 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

online marketing

edit

On your user page, you say that you are interested in "online marketing".It may therefore be appropriate for me to remind you about our rules on WP:Conflict of Interest, and, if it should apply, WP:PAID. , the Terms of use on paid contributions without disclosure. (this may not apply, but nonetheless, you should be aware of this, and make sure that nothing you write seem to be promotional: there are several hundred thousand articles in WP accepted in earlier years when the standards were lower that we need to either upgrade or remove. We want to make sure that we do not add to them.

And, since it seems to be a field where both you and I haves ome interest, you should read carefully WP:PROF, the guideline for the notability of academics. The key factor there is the significance and influenceof the published workm which is shown by book reviews, and by citations to articles. DGG ( talk ) 12:10, 6 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hello, Randeris4

Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username Jmertel23 and it's nice to meet you :-)

I wanted to let you know that I’ve proposed an article that you started, IREG Observatory on Academic Ranking and Excellence, for deletion because it meets one of the relevant criterion. The particular issue can be located in the notice, that is now visible at the top of the article.

If you wish to prevent the deletion:

  1. Edit the page
  2. Remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. Click the Publish changes button.

But, please remember to explain why you think the article should be kept on the article's talk page and improve the page to address the raised issues. Otherwise, it may be deleted later by other means.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Jmertel23}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

Proposed deletion of Marwa Dabaieh

edit

The article Marwa Dabaieh has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Doesn't meet WP:GNG, WP:NACADEMIC. The only claim to notability is having won the "Swedish Elna Bengtsson's foundation prize"; my attempts to search for this prize did not turn up enough coverage to establish its notability, and thus it is not enough to meet WP:ANYBIO

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. signed, Rosguill talk 00:52, 20 February 2020 (UTC)Reply
