I would like to second this comment. Your changes certainly gave the article a better chance of surviving AFD, the early version was easily a PROD delete. Ultimately it they just didn't have enough notability independent of their fiance. It makes sense - someone gets engaged to a fairly well-known personality and the gossip columns go crazy. Thank you for your efforts in taking a sub-par article to a state that at least gave it a chance. Ravensfire (talk) 17:38, 8 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

Least developed countries edit

Please read the article before you remove countries that are classified by the UN Economic and Social Council as Least developed countries (LDC). There is a process by which countries are classified as LDC, and there is a process to "graduate" them. The UN l lists these countries on their website: https://www.un.org/development/desa/dpad/least-developed-country-category/ldcs-at-a-glance.html and as you can see Nepal, Benin and Tanzania are on the list. That may change in the future, but as the section Declassification explains, a country is not taken off the list as soon as it meets the criteria for graduation. As it stands you have removed countries that are classified as LDC and I ask that you self-revert (including the change of Americas to America since America redirects to United States. Sjö (talk) 13:04, 5 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hello, thank you for the kind explanation. Ive understood ur point now, but the article u shared is an old article which was posted in 2018. How about referring to the new article which actually mentions about the country no longer become a low income country. https://blogs.worldbank.org/opendata/new-world-bank-country-classifications-income-level-2020-2021

--Princessruby (talk) 13:18, 5 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Those are not mutually exclusive. A country can cease to be a low income country and still be an LDC. As I explained, declassification takes time and the criteria for inclusion in the LDC category is different from criteria for other classifications. Thing is this article is about a specific list maintained by an organization within the UN, so it doesn't matter if a country is or is not in some other category or some other list.
The list I linked to is the current list, as you can see here (search for "There are currently 47 countries on the list of LDCs"). The fact sheets are from 2018 because the last time a country graduated was in 2017, as you can see here.
So one might think that it's wrong that this or that country is on the list, but that doesn't change that the countries I mentioned are on the list, and that it is well sourced that they are. Sjö (talk) 13:36, 5 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Start using edit summaries edit

You have been around long enough to know that you need to explain your edits and shouldn't be blanking content without 1.) an obvious reason and 2.) an explanation as to why. Further, you need to communicate with editors leaving concerns on your talk page, especially given your history and block log. PRAXIDICAE🌈 14:21, 20 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

I'd like to second this call for you to explain your edits in the edit summary. From Help:Edit summary:

Summaries help other editors by (a) providing a reason for the edit, (b) saving the time to open up the edit to find out what it's all about, and (c) providing information about the edit on diff pages and lists of changes (such as page histories and watchlists). The Wikipedia community strongly encourages editors to provide meaningful edit summaries.

This fellow editor would appreciate your cooperation in this. Thank you. — Archer1234 (t·c) 06:13, 12 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
