Arkive Range Attribution

Hi Andy,

I had occasion to look through the Arkive images a couple of days ago for Acrocephalus luscinius. I have a question. Is there somewhere on the species pages information as to the exact locales in which each photo was shot? I ask because the A. luscinius sensu largo is being split. V. Cibois, Beadell, Graves, Pasquet, Slikas, Sonsthagen, Thibault & Fleischer 2011. Charting the course of reed-warblers across the Pacific islands. J Biogeogr

Children's Museum article update

Hi Andy! I was excited to see you add the sentence about QRpedia to The Children's Museum of Indianapolis article. I've wanted so badly to update that article in any way, but now I really can't because now I'm staff (press release). I'm glad to be linked to the QRpedia page in the Wiki-verse; makes everything seem right in the world. :) I was wondering if you'd be willing to add that there are QRpedia codes in two of our main exhibits: All Aboard! to the Reuben Wells (locomotive) article and Carousel Wishes and Dreams to the Broad Ripple Park Carousel article, which is an FA. QRpedia codes are currently located in the All Aboard! exhibit, which directs users to the Reuben Wells steam engine Wikipedia article, and in the Carousel Wishes and Dreams exhibit, which links to the Broad Ripple Park Carousel article.

Commons:File:QR Code at The Children's Museum of Indianapolis.jpg But it may need to be cropped. We're working on getting some better photos up featuring our QRpedia labels. flatlist

You're behind template:flatlist; think you could get this into use? It would obviate a gazillion nowrap templates and the ·w things; also 'fix' all the places no one bothered with the wrap issue. I'm looking at it for instances such as:

* article (2011)

and am thinking the all flatlist-items should be nowrap. Currently the above tow can appear on successive lines, unless messy code is added to each item in each template. --Buck 07:42, 29 August 2011 (UTC)

That looks good but are we sure it wouldn't break anything? I suggest you propose it on Wikipedia:Manual of Style (lists) with a pointer to the discussion, from WP:VPT. I'll then add my support, but it will allow those with a greater understanding of such issues to spot any potential flaws. I really don't know what to do. You ask me not be commercial or make comments about The Baim Collection - and when I do you revert to a version with comment that could be taken as promotion. I'd really prefer there was no entry for Harold Baim on the site as your editing and changes have become very tiresome. You seem to be implying I have used the entry for some unspoken of hidden gain by this conflict of interest nonsense. There is no one else on the planet that knows any of this stuff - I promise you! Harold Baim would have loved the attention - but I don't, so stop your small minded editing of a page that's been up for years - take the whole thing down and let's wait for someone to write an independent article and research the topic properly. I spent money and hours finding Harolds true date of birth - when I add it to the entry you remove it. Why? your are not acting as an editor by doing this.

Sorry, but it's difficult to take some one seriously who edits articles badly and claims I have a conflict of interest.

I'd be pleased if you would remove the entire entry for Harold Baim. please e-mail me and confirm this will be done.

I'm sorry you feel like that. You have had offers (which still stand) of help on your talk page, from me and another editor, which you seem to have chosen to ignore. When you edited Wikipedia, you agreed to donate your contributions and that they could be edited by other people. So no, the article will not be deleted. New QRpedia image

Hi Andy! Today I was finally able to upload a better image of one of our QRpedia labels to Commons. Their label received rave reviews regarding how to effectively "interpret" QR codes to visitors in order to make them more user friendly. So I think it's not only a great example of QRpedia in use, but also of QR code usage in exhibits in general. I think it'd be overstepping, COI-wise, if I added it directly to the article. But I'd be happy for you to add it to the QRpedia article as an example of QRpedia in use, and perhaps replace the image in The Children's Museum of Indianapolis article as well? I'm not really sure it really adds that much to the Carousel article though.. what new information does it illuminate about the carousel itself to have it mentioned like that?
