Hi PeeJayK3, you removed this image [1]. The reason was that he is not enough in the picture. However, his entire face is in pretty good defenition in the picture and about a fifth of the entire picture space is him. I can recognise this man on the street by this picture. for obvious reasons, i'm not getting into an edit war on the wayne rooney thread over the word 'in' vs 'on'. • Football DataCo charges a standard fee for the reproduction of fixture lists, which currently stands at: £266 plus VAT to print the fixtures of one English club.
• Newspapers printing the fixtures of all clubs are be charged around £3,931 plus VAT by DataCo for a date ordered listing.

Hi, I know I have asked about protecting the new United season page before and you said you don't think its worth it, well I am asking you if you still feel the same now as I think the annoyance of edits has gone up quite a bit. I am absolutely fucking sick to death of reverting edits who are either to dumb to read or are just plain ignorant and changing Ferdinand's transfer to QPR despite a message explaining not to and giving a reason why. 2000 UEFA Cup Final line-up

'ello there Peejay! Could you do me a favour? The existing line-up created by Zotteteen1 is incorrect and I was wondering if you could correct it using Inkscape? I found a YouTube video of this match with the correct line-up. For instance, in the Galatasaray line-up (04:07), in the centre back positions, Popescu should come before Korkmaz. In the midfield positions, Buruk should be first, Davala second, Kaya third and last Hagi. In the Arsenal line-up (04:34), in the centre back positions, Keown should come before Adams, and in the forward sections, Bergkamp should come before Henry. Also note that Sylvinho should be spelled Silvinho, which his name was spellt as during his stint in Arsenal, and as for the Turkish names, use the surnames first. I have also taken a look at the 2004 UEFA Champions League Final line-up you created, can you make the Galatasaray kit as same as the one used in the football kit template, just as you made with the Monaco–Porto kits if you know what I'm referring to? If you could do these following things, I would appreciate it (I have attempted to do this myself using Inkscape, but I'm afraid I don't have the experience). Cheers! Hmm, didn't know that. Thought it was indeed the Adidas Tricolore according to the Turkish Wikipedia. I must have confused both of them. However, I have not been able to find any references of the match ball (When I say references, I mean sources that is supposed to cover the 2000 UEFA Cup Final match ball, and not the Euro 2000 tournament). Also, I was a bit disappointed to find out that you did not include the exact colours on the two clubs kits (You have made the Galatasaray upper kit white when the v-neck should be red and the shirt (including left and right arm) red and yellow, and the Arsenal upper kit yellow when the v-neck should be blue and the shirt (including left and right arm) yellow and blue). If you look at the Monaco–Porto line-up above, you put the Monaco kits at the top and the Porto kits underneath. Both of them are foreign clubs. Hmm, I suppose you are right. Anyway, how do you create the kits in and then add colours/extra colours in Inkscape? So far, I have experimented with the programme on my Mac and only figured out that you can move each player's kit on an existing line-up using the option "SVG Font Editor". Hi, on the 2014-15 United season page at the time of the United match finishing earlier today United were 20th in the league but someone has since changed it to 17th claiming that's what the source says now, so how does it work does it by the end of the match or the end of the day? Hi, I believe that Statto has changed definition of the position and when holding over it just says "League position after match", but it seems they still use matchday but without alphabetical order when tied on points and goal diff. They currently have United as 16th and from first day they have both Arsenal and Swansea as first. Do you think they have same pos if teams have same goal-diff, that is not order by name. @Qed237: I just did a spot-check of one of my old Man Utd yearbooks, and they've done the club's position after the entire weekend's matches (or midweek as the case may be). I'm happy to go with whatever decision is made, provided we can come up with a decent rationale for doing it that way and the articles remain stable. Agreed, just sourcing the league table is not sufficient; we need to source the position after each game/matchday, and a page that changes after every match isn't going to show positions going back several weeks, months or even years. Yes statoo could be used a lot more. For example results grid for main league season article, league table (if we should not use primary source always, winning sequencies (used in infobox on main league season article). Unfortunatelyy they dont source "positions by round" as many leagues have completely unsourced. For example 2013–14 La Liga has a "position by round"-table source only by a league table. Per this message (please see here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Gringoladomenega), please bear with me when i say i agree with Mr. Gringo: 99,9999999999999999% of the clubs in Spain that have the prefix "Real" are not solely known with said appendage, for example Real Zaragoza is also known as Zaragoza, Real Betis as Betis, Real Murcia as Murcia, etc. The only two cases where the club must have the "Real" prefix at all times are Real Sociedad and Real Madrid. And please, this is not only from the Spanish standpoint, also from the English one. Do you want sources?

I understand your point, but that's not the point that Gringo was making. On the one occasion when he's actually bothered to explain his actions, he said the reason he was piping the link was "compression". This makes it seem like he thinks that the name "Real Zaragoza" is simply too long, when in actual fact, both "Real Zaragoza" and "Real Zaragoza B" are both still shorter than "Manchester United". Furthermore, I have plenty of sources that give the club name in full (see here, here for examples). I've even seen Spanish sources that retain the "Real". If you have others that drop the "Real", that would not surprise me at all. Just like there are sources that refer to both "Internazionale" and "Inter Milan", it would not be unusual for some sources to refer to "Real Zaragoza" and some to just "Zaragoza". Anyway, would you mind asking Gringo to come here and explain his position for himself? I'm not going to act through a mediator any more. First, I don't believe Henriquez was given a squad number this season as the club's announcement of the 2014/15 numbers made no mention of him. Also, you are right that Nani's number will be in use if/when he returns from his loan spell, but since he has made appearances in that number and has not yet been allocated another, we should leave him as number 17. A similar situation arose with Anderson and Mata last season; since Anderson and Mata both wore 8 last year, they are both listed as number 8. – PeeJay 14:12, 2 September 2014 (UTC)

1991 European Cup Winners' Cup Final

I'm quite certain that only two substitutes were allowed from the late 1960s to the early 1990s. Unfortunately, I have been unable to find a reference to support my claims, but I believe there is a pattern; if one looks at the finals of the European competitions, one can see that managers of each club per final from 1969 to 1995 (i.e. the European Cup/UEFA Champions League), only used two substitutes, and that the three substitutes rule wasn't introduced until 1996. I have not yet had the time to have a look at other tournaments with the exception of the European/UEFA Cup Winners' Cup, but I believe that there should not be any difference. What I have said above is merely a theory of mine, but I would like to hear a viewpoint from your side. Arbero (talk) 17:28, 9 September 2014 (UTC)

On another note, I was wondering how you managed to complete the match statistics section of the 1999 UEFA Champions League Final, since it is difficult to find statistics of past games. If I were to hazard a guess, the match footage perhaps? I am asking this question since I have not been able to find the ball possession of the second half (The first half and the overall table were from a UEFA teamsheet I purchased online a few years ago as you can probably see) for this particular final I am currently working on. 1954 FIFA World Cup

A quick discussion about this edit/revert. the letter in question, ";ß", is a German consonant. There was an orthographic reform that started in 1996 to remove it and replace it with a double s. So technically, in current spelling the word would be "fussball", but in 1956, it would have been "fußball". The German article uses that spelling as well: de:Fußball-Weltmeisterschaft 1954.
