Women in Red edit

Hi there, Osu.archivist.tem, and welcome to Women in Red. Glad to see you are now interested in creating articles about women. In this connection, you may find it useful to look through our Ten Simple Rules. As you are an archivist, you might be interested to see that this month we have a focus on libraries and archives. Please let me know if you need help with editathons or if you run into any other difficulties. Happy editing!--Ipigott (talk) 10:46, 6 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

thanks Ipigott I worked with two other librarians last February on an editathon for Black History Month (see https://commons.pacificu.edu/olaq/vol25/iss2/7/) and partnered with AfroCROWD- we are planning another Feb 2020 event and partnering again with AfroCROWD. We are planning a March 2020 event for Women’s History Month, which I am taking the lead on, that will focus on women in the Pacific Northwest. I think AfroCROWD is willing to support the March event too, but is this something we could work with Women in Red on as well? We have a date (March 2020) and are planning to work with our campus Women and Gender Center to identify women. Thanks! Osu.archivist.tem (talk) 14:13, 6 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hello! Voting in the 2021 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 6 December 2021. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. Women in Red 8th Anniversary edit

  Women in Red 8th Anniversary
In July 2015 around 15.5% of the English Wikipedia's biographies were about women. As of July 2023, 19.61% of the English Wikipedia's biographies are about women. That's a lot of biographies created in the effort to close the gender gap. Happy 8th Anniversary! Join us for some virtual cake and add comments or memories and please keep on editing to close the gap!
