Superdome

I've heard the reports that they are considering tearing the Superdome down, however, no decision has been made yet. I also don't see how an object, a thing, a place, can actually be a current "event." Dr. Cash 02:08, 8 September 2005 (UTC)

CopyVio

Sorry, I've just had to remove your CopyVio notice on Rob Johnson and revert the work to the original stub I'd created before 152.163.100.199 added the massive copyright violation. In the future, it'd just be a nice touch if you'd check page history before slapping on a CopyVio, since the vast majority of CopyVios like that would otherwise be simply deleted after a week. If the page history suggests there was something there before the user posted a CopyVio, then simply revert the page (and warn the user, if particularly civil). Much thanks! Unless you'd like to cover all aspects of basketball, not only NBA... but then you could propose that on the NBA Project site. History of Mississippi

I had no intention of hurting your feelings when I replaced "your" article with a redirect. Since the article had not been touched in a few days, and you did not respond to my comments on the talk page, I thought it was safe to assume it was not being actively worked on. The information was and still is a small subset of that already available at Mississippi. If you intend to create a separate page for the history of Mississippi, please include at least as much information as is already available in the main article. So it seems, but the thing is, it showed that I vote twice. What initially happened was that I voted, but a sign saying page error came up, so i pressed backspace, then save. Edit summaries

I would recommend against running for admin at this moment in time. Reasons as follows:

• Your edit summary usage over the last 200 edits is 70.5%. Move it up over 80% at least. Try to make yourself do an edit summary for every edit, every time.
• Your average # of edits is 7.3 over the last 90 days. But, people are going to look at your joining Wikipedia with your first edit on March 15, 2004 and say "~1000 edits in a year and a half? Not enough." Increase your activity level.
• Your last RfA was only a month ago. I'd go at least another month; get the material that the negative comments on that old RfA are referring to further in the past.
• Your user page is, well, basic. That's no requirement for adminship, but some people like to see a nice user page for a nominee.

Be patient. Keep contributing. Keep it up, and you'll be an admin by Christmas. --Durin 02:56, 8 October 2005 (UTC)

OK, here's the short and sweet version. When you are incivil to another user, you are violating the civility policy - see Wikipedia:Civility. So that's one blockable offence. Bitching about administrator warnings or notices on talk pages is continuously irritating. You've been annoying and borderline trollish on Wikipedia and in the IRC channel. Nicholas is only attempting to help and you've behaved thoroughly despicably towards him.

What you did in nominating me was a positive gesture, regardless of my qualifications. Nick and Rob and me aren't your enemies, and with me, if you don't want me to be "fake" or what have you, please just say so. I used to be irked by such things, but then I realized there's just too much shit out there to worry about that kind of stuff.

1000 edits

I wasn't speaking in terms of policy, I was trying to be realistic. Almost no one ever becomes an admin with only under 1000 edits. I think he had 700 or so edits and very little rfa or vfd activity- it was a nice way of advising him to withdraw because he had no chance. freestylefrappe 18:27, 15 October 2005 (UTC)

I was not aware that you were Wikifan. Is that the RFA you mentioned? It's going back far enough that I think I'm confusing which RFA we're referring to. I've given up trying to convince users not to apply until 1,000 edits. Edit count has gone down greatly in terms of importance - clearly since Shauri and Wiglaf voted against me for my policy of at least 1,000. Also, there use to be a disclaimer on the Requests page that said "do not bother applying here until you have at least 1,000"- which was there for a while (though - to my knowledge - it wasnt official policy). freestylefrappe 14:35, 16 October 2005 (UTC)

Dear WikiFanatic: I noticed that you re-added your name to the Cabalists list on Wikipedia:Mediation Cabal; firstly, I wish to welcome you back, and I am most glad that you have decided to join us again. I do, however, think it is best to warn you that it is likely in the future that others will criticise you in a similar manner that Kim Bruning did, and thought I should caution you that, whilst it is great that you still wish to be a mediator, you must be prepared to make sure that you don't take such comments to heart in the future. The reason for this is that mediators tend to be called names, put down, etc. by many people in POV disputes, for example, and I feel that otherwise I would be committing a huge failure on my part not to warn you of this. That said, we do have a lot of work at the moment that needs sorting out; if you are sure that you will be able to keep a cool head at all times, please do go ahead and jump in on any case you think needs some work! Sources for Revert of Louisiana

Hi just wondering as to your sources for the revert on the Louisiana article. There are two detailed discussions as to both the largest city and the status of civil law in the state of Louisiana. I am guessing that you reverted to before my last edit and did not mean to change the civil law text. I apologize if you feel I reverted your previous change of largest city, but I believed that this was debated already on the discussion page. Would you be amenable to a qualification that discusses the circumstances surrounding the change in population and that this population shift has not yet been confirmed by official government census?
