Greetings!

Hi Kubigula. Thanks for doing fixes to my new Wikipedia contributions, specifically Herbert Thomas Mandl. I am kind of new at this, so any help is greatly appreciated.

Hello kubingula

Article on Luqman Azam Cheema was very well deserved and it was not against any rule defined in wikipedia new article section. It was very well explained within the article that why this article was important. please restore the page.. 202.165.250.194 (talk) 04:43, 1 January 2009 (UTC)

Re: Tags Page

Hmm .. Ok, thanks for the info, sorry for the inexperience, I'm still learning. Is there a way that you know of to put some sort of a screenshot of those types of things on a quick reference page that won't trigger listing that is patrolled. I have bookmarked sooo many wiki pages, seen sooo many tags, templates, and read soooo many policy pages - I'm just trying to give myself a quick reference page on the things I run across most often. While learning the wiki language itself isn't particularly overwhelming, some of the policies and general guidelines can be a lot to absorb. Thanks again for letting me know about what they do to a page beyond the obvious of the info box it actually displays, I'll be more careful on that end. Ched (talk) 05:30, 4 January 2009 (UTC)

LOL@ right answer. I can't promise I'll ask the right question ;) Actually that cleanup page is where I found a couple ones I was using on my cheat sheet. I try to stay under the radar, but mistakes are an inevitable part of learning. I have to say, that while I've read through some pretty heated debates here, all my experiences have been very positive and enjoyable. Well, thanks again for your time and friendly tone, I look forward to seeing you out there in wiki-world, and have a great 2009. Ched (talk) 06:05, 4 January 2009 (UTC)

Hello Kubingula

In August '08 you deleted an article I wrote about Pete Blackshaw because you felt it was "blatant advertising". I'd like to request that you reconsider. Pete coined the term "Consumer Generated Media" and has contributed so much to the advertising and customer service industries. He is a real mensch and I can't tell you how many people I know regard him as a mentor and thought leader in so many areas.

I am a new Wiki user and did my best to follow Wikipedia's guidelines. I apologize if the article seemed too much like an advertorial. Could you suggest how I might edit it to meet wiki's guidelines? Pete deserves to be listed in Wikipedia.

I welcome any suggestions and guidance you may have. Please email me at tasher@levi.com.

Best,

Tom Asher

Kubigula,

Thank you so much for your generous offer to prune and spruce up the Pete Blackshaw article. I'd like to take you up on it. I am a complete novice at this and can see from your editing history that you are an expert and prolific Wiki contributor and editor.

I used Bill Clinton's page as guidance originally but struggled to get everything right. If you could edit as you see fit, I would really appreciate it.

One new development since I wrote the article: In addition to his regular duties as author, speaker and Executive Vice President of Nielsen Online Digital Strategic Services, Blackshaw has become chairman of the National Better Business Bureau...

Thanks again for help, Tom 155.57.254.1 (talk) 19:46, 8 January 2009 (UTC)

Czech related articles

I have noticed that you have deleted info about poor tourist service in Czech republic that was supported by references. The case of Prague mayor is in particular notorious and well known in western media. What makes you claim that information you deleted is someones personal analysis? What do you have to say about the references provided?

I also notice that you are an admin here. Are you from Czech republic? Is there a cabal of Czech admins operating here? If this is the case, than we have to do something about it, as that would be a serious situation. Admins are not supposed to push their POV by using their powers. What do you have to say about that? 78.30.163.113 (talk) 05:20, 9 January 2009 (UTC)

An organization is generally considered notable if it has been the subject of significant coverage in reliable, independent secondary sources. Trivial or incidental coverage of a subject by secondary sources is not sufficient to establish notability. All content must be verifiable.

This page is to help determine whether an organization (commercial or otherwise), or any of its products and services, is a valid subject for a Wikipedia article. The scope of this guideline covers all groups of people organized together for a purpose, although people gathered for more specific purposes may be governed by more specific guidelines. For example, people gathered together for the purpose of making music are covered by WP:MUSIC.

Simply stated, an organization is a group of more than one person formed together for a purpose. This includes commercial and non-commercial activities including, but not limited to, charitable organizations, educational institutions, hospitals, institutions, interest groups, organizations, social clubs, companies, partnerships, proprietorships, religious denominations, sects, etc.

This guideline does not cover small groups of closely related people such as families, entertainment groups, co-authors, and co-inventors covered by WP:Notability (people).

Notable means "worthy of being noted" or "attracting notice." It is not synonymous with "fame" or "importance." Please consider notable and demonstrable effects on culture, society, entertainment, athletics, economies, history, literature, science, or education. Large organizations are likely to have more readily available verifiable information from reliable sources that provide evidence of notability; however, smaller organizations can be notable, just as individuals can be notable, and arbitrary standards should not be used to create a bias favoring larger organizations. —Preceding unsigned comment added by DeltaLodgeDown (talkcontribs) 22:13, 10 January 2009 (UTC)

About Morgan City, LA

Dear Kubigula,

You just removed a change I made to the Morgan City, Louisiana page. I understand the change I made could be seen as offensive (as I said that the town was also known as Morgan Shity). But actually locals from the region of Morgan City do call their hometown this way, in a rather affective manner. Sorry for this incident. Can't we find a way to inform wikipedia users on this peculiar denomination of this place ?

Working on a new article

I am working on a project to create an new article which will tentatively be entitled "Hurricane Camille in Virginia", which I hope will be a collaborative effort. For now, I think a subpage "sandbox" is the best starting place, but I would like your thoughts on that unusual approach. Please see User:Vaoverland/project/Hurricane Camille in Virginia and add any comments, etc. Thanks, Vaoverland (talk) 12:34, 21 January 2009 (UTC)

Why

Why do you sit there, waiting for the right opportunity to delete someone's constructed brilliance? Do no delete the article about Nilliam Townsiris, because once you read about him, and his books, you will experience the greatness. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Klasyays (talkcontribs) 05:21, 29 January 2009 (UTC)

Explain thyself

Thou's deletion of a one great exparimatic entrepreneurial genius shall create dissaray amongst the arts world. Thy hath deleted greatness by the act upon Nilliam Townsiris' page. Sometimes when the world art against thou, the best way to hath peace is not through distruction of others. It is beyond obvisity that thou hath issues in thou's life. Please talk them through with me and I shall cure thou's depression like Nilliam giveth life to our community. You poor lost soul, your ignorance shall not come without desperation and magnitudinal disposition. You shall be smote, and with it your kids and unborn children made into a meal of elegant proportions. Pass me the plum sauce Tillius, I am dining on Kubigula's foetuses tonight. mmmm yumm. Now touch Nilliam's page again and rape beyond the 3rd degree will eloquise your face and your life shall become a battle to retain your organs in thou's stomach. defence

HOW DARE YOU, HOW DARE YOU KUBIGULA, HOW DARE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!

HOW DARE YOU DELETE BRILLIANT ARTICLE ON NILLIAM "THE PHENOMENA" TOWNSIRIS

I CAN SENSE A PRESENCE ABOUT YOU BOY, AN EVIL PRESENCE, MAY THE FORCE FROM THE SPIRIT OF A SEAHORSE UNLEASH THE EXPECTO PATRONUM UPON YOU, YOU MUST EXPRESS KINDNESS TO NILLIAM TOWNSIRIS, FOR HE IS OUR SAVIOUR, THE ANSWER TO OUR ULLILOQUITY. Skullcandy revert

Hi I don't have an account. If you can find an independent source with empirical evidence that Skullcandy headphones do indeed "hold a reputation amongst DJs internationally for providing comfort and high quality sound reproduction." I will be satisfied. Until then, please do not revert the change.

Ernest Drake

Hello, I would like you to know, I know not wether Ernest Drake should be recreated or stay deleted. You're Welcome :) Thanks for speaking out for and supporting me. I am slowly working my way toward, maybe, one day getting an adminship. Not sure it will happen, but I would like the chance.
I have been working on some radio station articles (same as always) getting them all updated for the state of Virginia. It has taken me awhile, but it is worth it as some still have the really old templates. Next up after Virginia, West Virginia then Maryland. I should be down at this pace by Christmas :) I have also been working on some of the new article, checking those out as they are made. Kinda gives me something to do besides just radio and TV stations.
I also have been working, online and off, with a radio company out of California who has a page on Wikipedia. The person who owns the station started the page themselves, but since that would have been a conflict of interest, I volunteered to update the page for them with information they provide, kind of a work around on the COI rule.
So, I have kept myself busy and my nose clean :) Take Care...NeutralHomerTalk • March 4, 2009 @ 05:52

Littleberry Mosby

Thanks for the suggestions. I've fixed the section titles per MOS. I'm probably still going to wait a day or two and see if I can find any more details about his actual role in the War of 1812: theatre, battles, etc. Only being able to say that he reached the rank of brigadier general, and having no details at all bothers me. cmadler (talk) 00:05, 5 March 2009 (UTC)

Camille

I posted an updated Progress Report on Hurricane Camille in Virginia project. Please see my notes on this page User:Vaoverland/project/Hurricane Camille in Virginia. User: No1lakersfan has been helping some, but has a very heavy school load currently. I may have another very talented WP source who may be willing to to do a graphic, but I am not sure how to get 1969 era photos which we could use. This won't be a major WP article, but it is a worthy subhject we don't cover well now. I am determined to be sure what we do present is of good quality. I really feel that I need some encouragement or feedback. Many thanks Vaoverland (talk) 09:59, 15 March 2009 (UTC)

Request for Feedback

I am a new editor and I wish to create the article, Longwood Industries, and I noticed you had previously deleted it. I assume the previous article was a direct attack on the organization, consisting of mostly defamatory statements, which would obviously violate the rules about neutral point of view and attack pages. I am trying to create this page objectively and would appreciate if you would review my draft and comment on its accepability. Thanks for your help. Mscurfield (talk) 03:52, 26 March 2009 (UTC)

Over the last 5 days, multiple IP users have tried to insert an external link to an attack blog on this page about a politician in a reelection year. I'm worried about getting into edit warring here. Do you think I should ask for semi-protection? Rklear (talk) 15:48, 11 May 2009 (UTC)

Clint Catalyst article/video citation issue

Hello, I saw your comment on the Talk page of User:Tallulah13 approving the inclusion of a YouTube video on the Clint Catalyst article (of his spoken word piece at the Andy Warhol Museum) and wanted to let you know that I have restored it in reversion of an edit made by a user with a noted COI issue regarding the article that has returned and continued editing. May I please request your assistance in dealing with this editor who has demonstrated disregard for WP:NPOV? Many thanks in advance. Granny Bebeb (talk) 04:55, 13 May 2009 (UTC)

Hi, I want to follow up. Do you actually think this usage is appropriate? The artdaily link has just a passing mention, a link to the gallery itself isn't useful, and all we have Catalyst's own YouTube link of the piece. Beyond the question of whether YouTube is a reliable source (for the minor fact that yes, the piece does exist), shouldn't we at least have some independent sources? -- Ricky81682 (talk) 01:09, 14 May 2009 (UTC)
I will follow up on the article talk page.--Kubigula (talk) 17:41, 17 May 2009 (UTC)

Tom Gear Poster

The links that pointed to http://tomgear.blogspot.com were posted simply because Del. Gear does the best he can to hide his real accomplishments. I have tried to get in touch with RKlear about revising the page to fit the criteria to no avail. I read through the vandalism policy and the blog does not break any policies. Please advise. Also, all "accusations" are sourced—Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.160.18.41 (talk) 22:39, 13 May 2009 (UTC)

  • I have commented on this user's posts at Talk:Tom Gear. As for trying to get in touch, all he has done so far is add a cryptic remark to my user page (not the talk page). Rklear (talk) 06:10, 14 May 2009 (UTC)

I'd like to put Virginia back up for Featured Article Candidate, and hope that the third time's the charm. I wanted to get in touch with you before I do to make sure you don't have any glaring issue with the article, and that you'd support it when it goes up. I was aiming for the end of next week, so just give me a nod before then if there's anything. Thanks for your help!-- Patrick {oѺ} 19:10, 4 September 2009 (UTC)

I added the infobox template:Palestinian rocket attacks on Israel (which I recently created) to relevant articles, including this one. Pegasus and Pihassasas [sic]

Your insertion at Pegasus. that the name's origins may come from the word in the Luwian language: pihassas, meaning "lightning"... "or, you added, " from Pihassasas, the name of an ancient weather god meaning "god of lightning"" has been commented out as unattested at Google Scholar or JSTOR. Can you provide a published citation for Pihassasas, aside from Wikipedia mirrors on the Internet? You needn't contact me directly: Talk:Pegasus would be the appropriate place.
