My name is Michael J. Kubat. I am a retired United States Navy officer, and I live in Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA I am currently in private practice as a licensed clinical social worker with a primary interest in anxiety disorders, particularly PTSD.
I am also a part-time writer and translator. As a refugee from Communist Czechoslovakia, I am naturally interested in totalitarian regimes, propaganda systems, and the like. As a second-generation Holocaust survivor, I am vitally interested in diocumenting and preserving this event. I have spent many years translating Czech and German-language documents into English to make them accessible to English-speaking audiences. I also continue to work as a translator under contract with various companies and organizations that require expert Czech-to-English translations.
