Edits to 9 Horses edit

Hello, thank you for creating 9 Horses! Your contributions to Wikipedia are welcome. I just wanted to let you know about some edits I made to it.

Mainly what I did was make your references more consistent with the format used in other articles. You should check out the tool I used, which gives users a nice convenient form to fill in and does all the formatting automatically. It's accessed by clicking where it says "Cite" in the blue bar at the top of the edit window when you're editing any page. Then, in the second blue bar that appears, click "Templates" and choose either "cite web" (good for most references, though you'll have to click the "Show/hide extra fields" button to enter publication dates); "cite news" (for newspaper articles); "cite book" (for books); or "cite journal" (for magazines including scholarly journals). There are some citation templates, such as Template:Cite press release, which despite being useful sometimes do not have a handy form version available, but for most purposes the four that appear in the drop-down should be sufficient.

I also marked several of the article's references as being to primary sources. On Wikipedia, as much as possible of the facts in an article should be cited to secondary sources — written (or recorded) by people unaffiliated with the subject of the Wikipedia article. I know it can seem as though a record label would be (for example) the most reliable source for an album's release date, but for Wikipedia purposes it's better to cite a music magazine's reporting of the release date.

Finally, I removed the category tags Category:Chamber jazz and Category:Jazz, because the article more properly goes in the subcategories Category:Chamber jazz musicians and Category:Jazz musicians which it had already been added to.

Thanks again for joining and contributing to Wikipedia. If you have any questions, feel free to ask, either here, on my talk page, or at the Teahouse, a friendly help desk staffed by volunteers. Note that if you ask here, you should include [[User:GrammarFascist|GrammarFascist]] somewhere in your response, which will make Wikipedia software alert me that someone is talking to me. Happy editing! —GrammarFascist contribstalk 20:26, 1 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of File:9 Horses Perfectest Herald.jpg edit

A tag has been placed on File:9 Horses Perfectest Herald.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted content borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. MfD nomination of Draft:9 Horses edit

Draft:9 Horses, a page you substantially contributed to, has been nominated for deletion. Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/Draft:9 Horses and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Draft:9 Horses during the discussion but should not remove the miscellany for deletion template from the top of the page; such a removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 14:13, 14 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

Disambiguation link notification for October 29 edit

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Tubular bells, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Civil War. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Your draft article, User:Mistersierra/Jesse Lewis (guitarist) edit

Hello, Mistersierra. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Jesse Lewis (guitarist)".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Legacypac (talk) 07:14, 25 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

Disambiguation link notification for June 26 edit

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Joseph Brent, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Oscar Hammerstein (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Issuing level 1 warning about removing AfD template from articles before the discussion is complete. (Peachy 2.0 (alpha 8)) edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles, or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion debates, as you did with Adhyâropa Records. Otherwise, it may be difficult to create consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. This is an automated message from a bot about this edit, where you removed the deletion template from an article before the deletion discussion was complete. If this message is in error, please report it.—cyberbot ITalk to my owner:Online 18:06, 4 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
