editHello! Thank you for your recent contributions to Kailash Kher. I did have one note for you. I am working on a maintenance project to clean up Category:Pages using infoboxes with thumbnail images. In the future, please do not use thumbnails when adding images to an infobox (see WP:INFOBOXIMAGE). What does this mean? Well in the infobox, when you specify the image you wish to use, instead of doing it like this:
|image=[[File:SomeImage.jpg|thumb|Some image caption]]
Instead just supply the name of the image. So in this case you can simply do:
|image=SomeImage.jpg
.
There will then be a separate parameter for the image caption such as |caption=Some image caption
. Please note that this is a generic form message I am leaving on your page because you recently added a thumbnail to an infobox. The specific parameters for the image and caption may be different for the infobox you are using! Please consult the Template page for the infobox being used to see better documentation. Thanks!! Speedy deletion nomination of File:Kailash Kher at Dallas.jpg
editA tag has been placed on File:Kailash Kher at Dallas.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted content borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Conflict of interest editing
editHello, Meethi19. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the article User:Trishna The Band, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).
Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. -- Marchjuly (talk) 05:03, 6 March 2018 (UTC)
- I've posted the above because it appears you are trying to write a draft about a subject you may be closely connected to either personally or professionally. If that's not the case, then the template still contains links to pages which you contain information which you might find useful.
- It also appears that you are confused as to how user pages maybe used. A user page is not intended to be a free web host and used like Facebook, etc. as explained in WP:FAKEARTICLE. So, if you're working on a draft for a future article, then the best way to do that is as either (1) a userspace draft or (2) a regular draft. Right now, User:Trishna The Band is likely going to be deleted per WP:U5, so you should move the content to another more suitable page. If you're not sure how to do that, then you can ask for help here by using Template:Help me or by asking for assistance at the Wikipedia Teahouse. -- Marchjuly (talk) 05:15, 6 March 2018 (UTC)
- Based upon your post at c:User talk:Meethi19#Blocked (c:Special:diff/Meethi19/290963459) you state you
handle Trishna The Band's facebook page
. This clearly indicates you do have a professional relationship of some kind with with the band which means you do have a conflict of interest (COI) regarding anything written about the band on Wikipedia. It's very important to understand that even though Wikipedia does not expressly prohibit COI editing, it is something highly discouraged because it often can lead to some serious problems. I strongly suggest you read Wikipedia:Plain and simple conflict of interest guide, Wikipedia:Ownership of content, and Wikipedia:Notability (music) because these pages content important information that will help you avoid problems with other editors. You should also know that if you are being compensated in any way for handling the band's Facebook account, then you are required to disclose this per Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure. Failure to properly follow relevant policies and guidelines will not help you get an article about the ban added to Wikipedia and may actually lead to your account being blocked. Finally, while working on a draft for a future article is acceptable, I strongly suggest you submit it for review via Wikipedia:Articles for creation (AfC). This will allow experienced editors to review what you've written and determine if there are any problems which need to be be fixed; of course, you are not required to do this, but drafts approved via AfC tend to have a better chance of surviving a nomination for deletion than those are directly added to the namespace by the draft's creator. Writing a proper Wikipedia is a very hard thing to do because there are so many policies and guidelines which need to be satisfied, and many people puts lots of time and effort into something only to find out the hard way that it needs to be deleted. -- Marchjuly (talk) 12:01, 6 March 2018 (UTC)

Harnish Ambaliya moved to draftspace
editAn article you recently created, Harnish Ambaliya, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Your draft article, User:Meethi19/sandbox
editHello, Meethi19. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "sandbox".
