First sentence of article

Hallo, I see that in this edit you changed the first sentence of the article on Peace Uzoamaka Nnaji to say "Peace Uzoamaka Nnaji was born on 28 December 1952. ". I've now changed it back to say "Peace Uzoamaka Nnaji (born 28 December 1952 in Enugu State) is a Nigerian politician."

If you look around the encyclopedia you'll see that a biographical article almost always starts with "Name (dates) is/was a [nationality] [occupation which made them notable]." The first sentence is what people see in lists of search results or when they hover over a link, so it needs to tell us why the person is notable, not just when and where they were born (or, even worse but quite common, who their parents were). WP:MOSBIO goes into a lot more detail.

There's a lot to learn about editing Wikipedia but it's an interesting journey. Happy Editing. PamD 12:01, 6 May 2020 (UTC)

Thanks for contributing to the article Okigwe. However, one of Wikipedia's core policies is that material must be verifiable and attributed to reliable sources. You have recently used citations which copied, or mirrored, material from Wikipedia. This leads to a circular reference and is not acceptable. Most mirrors are clearly labeled as such, but some are in violation of our license and do not provide the correct attribution. Please help by adding alternate sources to the article you edited!
