February 2017 edit

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Seventeen (band). Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware that Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. General Ization Talk 21:59, 10 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for uploading File:9-kpop-seventeen-showcase-going-seventeen-boomboom-2016.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. SEVENTEEN (South Korean Band) edit

You just copied that article from Seventeen (band)--that's no good, and I'll have to delete it. Drmies (talk) 04:09, 1 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

  • The creator of Seventeen (band) doesn't let anyone editing that page, even if the information is true. Hope that you or the owner of the page letting everyone edit the page. I have my sources to back up on the editing I made
    • That's unfortunate, but putting a copy in mainspace is not the solution. In fact, it's so much NOT the solution that I can't really indicated to which extent it is NOT the solution. You'll have to work this out with the other editors. And might I add, Wikipedia is not the place to dump artists' resumes, YouTube links, and fan trivia... Drmies (talk) 04:35, 1 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

I do agree with you that Wikipedia "is not the place to dump artists' resumes, YouTube links, and fan trivia", but I just want other fans and new fans of the group to know where the group had to make an appearance on TV. I'm new to wikipedia editing and coding. Please forgive me if my coding isn't upto standard with the coding world.

  • Kpopfan, don't worry about coding--anyone will help you with that. The bigger problem was, for instance, YouTube links--and reliable sourcing is always a problem. K-pop portals (allkpop etc.) aren't considered reliable sources, if only because they typically simply reproduce what the entertainment companies seem to give them. And things like TV appearances, that's not of encyclopedic value. Thanks, Drmies (talk) 05:53, 1 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Lee Myung-hoon (actor) edit

The article Lee Myung-hoon (actor) has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Phrachao Siribounyasan moved to draftspace edit

An article you recently created, Phrachao Siribounyasan, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please follow the prompts on the Articles for Creation template atop the page. Robert G. Hello, Kpopfansince09. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Phrachao Siribounyasan".

Non-free rationale for File:Lee Myung Hoon3.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Lee Myung Hoon3.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F6 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

ATTENTION: This is an automated, bot-generated message. This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 03:00, 14 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

BLP discretionary sanctions alert edit

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in living or recently deceased people, and edits relating to the subject (living or recently deceased) of such biographical articles. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.
