Serbo-Croatian edit

Your recent editing history shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.

To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. --Taivo (talk) 18:43, 4 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

Notice of Edit warring noticeboard discussion edit

Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion involving you at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring regarding a possible violation of Wikipedia's policy on edit warring. Thank you. --Taivo (talk) 18:51, 4 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

Edit warring at Serbo-Croatian edit

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 48 hours for edit warring. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}. However, you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.

During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.

The full report of this case is at WP:AN3#User:Kiril Simeonovski reported by User:Taivo (Result: 48 hours). Thank you, EdJohnston (talk) 23:44, 4 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

"Don't Bogart that ITN, my friend..." edit

I quite agree that no consensus was reached. But I think the decision of whether or not this is news, should have nothing to do with my personal view that individual US states are comparable with countries. Yes, I realise that USA is indeed a country. Some large bushes look like trees, some short stories look like novels, some seas look like oceans! Regards, Martinevans123 (talk) 20:02, 2 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

Indeed, it was a news enjoying insufficient support from the others to go on the main page. After realising that the matter could have evolved in a useless discussion, I decided to request closing the nomination and thereby allow others to focus on the other nominations. Regarding your personal opinion outlining your views, it's only yours and nobody can force you think in a different way. Best regards.--Kiril Simeonovski (talk) 20:16, 2 January 2014 (UTC)Reply
I have an obvious national bias when my own country is smaller than 47 of the US states. Martinevans123 (talk) 21:16, 2 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. 43rd Chess Olympiad edit

I have removed some of the content you added to the above article, as it appears to have been copied from http://www.chessdom.com/chess-olympiad-2018-to-take-place-in-batumi-georgia/, a copyright web page. All content you add to Wikipedia must be written in your own words. Please let me know if you have any questions or if you think I made a mistake. — Diannaa (talk) 20:20, 31 August 2016 (UTC)Reply

Hi Diannaa. I am well aware about the copy-editing and that's why I deliberately changed some words to keep the same context. It was, however, inappropriate for me to change words in the sentence dealing with the budget allocation. Anyway, it's enough for now to have that article as a stub. Thanks for taking care. Best.--Kiril Simeonovski (talk) 21:39, 31 August 2016 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of 43rd Chess Olympiad edit

The article 43rd Chess Olympiad has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Subject is almost certain to be notable in another couple of years, but this is just way WP:TOOSOON.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Videos edit

Do not embed videos that download. And probably a good idea to check with other editors about your videos. --Smokefoot (talk) 14:15, 20 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

@Smokefoot: The opening paragraph of the video guidelines on Wikimedia Commons contains a sentence saying "The preferred video format is WebM but the ogv container is also allowed.". Hence, it's a bit pointless for me to discuss with the community about the use of videos with the preferred format. Best regards.--Kiril Simeonovski (talk) 14:34, 20 October 2016 (UTC)Reply
How are users to know that these downloads are virus-free?--Smokefoot (talk) 14:53, 20 October 2016 (UTC)Reply
@Smokefoot: Please address your concern to the community on Wikimedia Commons. The users there will probably answer your question properly, because they established the guidelines. I'm just following the rules and recommendations. Best.--Kiril Simeonovski (talk) 15:38, 20 October 2016 (UTC)Reply
@Smokefoot: I've started a new thread on the village pump of Wikimedia Commons, where the community members promptly responded. You're welcome to check and join the discussion. Best.--Kiril Simeonovski (talk) 21:32, 20 October 2016 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for the note and being so responsive. Eventually, I might revise the long captions, so keep your eye out for that too. Cheers, --Smokefoot (talk) 02:18, 21 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

Credits in Captions edit

Hello! First, let me say I fully support having videos in chemistry articles. However, per Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Captions, when adding visual media to an article, do not credit the author or copyright holder in the captions. The appropriate credit should be on the image description page. As such, I've removed "Planned and performed by..." from the captions of many of the videos you've added; please omit that part from the captions of any videos you add in the future. Thanks. ʍw 14:21, 8 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

Again, stop doing that. Don't give credit to the performers, producers, or organization involved with creating the video. DMacks (talk) 15:33, 21 November 2016 (UTC)Reply
