Regarding a name usurpation email error

Hello,

On the update you posted regarding the on-hold status of my name change, it says you've emailed me, but I haven't received an email. The lettering is josheauxposte (I'm aware it's dumb, partly the reason I'd like to change my current username).

Thank you! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Josheaux (talkcontribs) 01:56, 2 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hi Josheaux.
To clarify, the email and notification was intended for the target user (the user whose name you are trying to usurp, that is). The general protocol is that we try to contact the target user to give them a chance to respond to the request. If they don't respond in time, or if they don't mind being usurped, then we can go ahead with the request. The notification isn't intended for you; apologies for any confusion!

Sorry, I was confused. Thank you. ~~~~ Josheaux (talk) 12:06, 2 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

This week's article for improvement (week 23, 2022)

Squash is a racket and ball sport played by two or four players in a four-walled court with a small, hollow rubber ball. The players alternate in striking the ball with their rackets onto the playable surfaces of the four walls of the court. The objective of the game is to hit the ball in such a way that the opponent is not able to play a valid return.
