Aus/SA

Hi Joseph - hope you are well. Just a note that while the ODI matches have been cancelled, SA are still scheduled to tour Australia in Dec 22 for three Test matches. The original schedule was for three Tests and three ODIs either side of the New Year. And thanks for all the great work you do on WP too! Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 14:25, 13 July 2022 (UTC)

Thanks for letting me know- I've reverted my changing of redirect there, so it points back to International cricket in 2022-23. Joseph2302 (talk) 16:44, 13 July 2022 (UTC)

FYI!

I was working on it. Littlebitof (talk) 13:50, 28 July 2022 (UTC)

Still, adding something with a citation needed tag is unhelpful. Find the citation, then add the content- not the other way round. Joseph2302 (talk) 13:53, 28 July 2022 (UTC)
The way I did it was fine. Stop rushing. Bye! Littlebitof (talk) 14:00, 28 July 2022 (UTC)
No it wasn't, it violates WP:VERIFY. Don't add text with no sources again, or you will get yourself blocked for violating Wikipedia policy. Don't ever post here again, as you clearly have no interest in collaboration or obeying Wikipedia guidelines. Joseph2302 (talk) 14:02, 28 July 2022 (UTC)
Joseph, looking at this it seems you were wrong, the info added had three sources and no CN tags, but you reverted it anyway. In any case, don't call people "moron" or you are the one that will end up blocked. Fram (talk) 14:19, 28 July 2022 (UTC)
I must have reverted one diff too many back then, my mistake. Thank you for pointing that out. Joseph2302 (talk) 14:21, 28 July 2022 (UTC)
Seeing as the user failed to notify me:   There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you. Joseph2302 (talk) 14:27, 28 July 2022 (UTC)

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for abuse of editing privileges.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  RickinBaltimore (talk) 16:30, 28 July 2022 (UTC)
  • RickinBaltimore was this block based only on the one comment on my talkpage? That was a poor attempt at a joke, and I've removed it. And I do respect people of all backgrounds and varieties of English. As far as I could see, the only other current issue people had with me was the above issue with a user which I thought was resolved (I apologised for a poor choice of language), so am not entirely clear where this indef block has come from? Please could you provide more detail for the blocking, so that I can better understand it? Joseph2302 (talk) 17:06, 28 July 2022 (UTC)
  • I have now noticed the updates on the ANI thread, and accept that I have been unnecessary hostile to people, for which I apologise. I have no issue with Americans or American English speakers, but sometimes I get hot headed, and this often comes to blow with discussions of US postings at WP:ITNC. I apologise and had been trying to take myself out of potentially hostile situations pn Wikipedia, but unfortunately I've let that lapse recently by getting involved in too many arguments where I've been hot headed and reckless. I will not post a formal unblock right now, as I will take some time to think about it. Joseph2302 (talk) 17:14, 28 July 2022 (UTC)
RickinBaltimore A bit more context would be good in case anybody would like to understand this. If there is an ANI case, a link to it would be helpful. Schwede66 18:48, 28 July 2022 (UTC)
Wikipedia:Administrators'_noticeboard/Incidents#User:Joseph2302 - discussion here. RickinBaltimore (talk) 19:15, 28 July 2022 (UTC)
Thanks. Schwede66 11:24, 29 July 2022 (UTC)
Just seen this, Joseph. Seems a bit harsh for one off-the cuff remark in two years gets an indef, regardless of your past blocks. Hopefully you'll put a block request that addresses the issue and is successful, reduced down to time served. Take care. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 12:40, 29 July 2022 (UTC)
