Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited List of athletes with the most appearances at Olympic Games, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Ricardo Santos. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:32, 21 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Rowing, not Canoeing

edit

Re List of athletes with the most appearances at Olympic Games, what gave you the idea that Katherine Grainger & Frances Houghton were canoeists rather than rowers? - David Biddulph (talk) 16:32, 25 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

Also, you seem to have added 2 canoeists to the list of rowers. --David Biddulph (talk) 16:35, 25 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for telling me about the mistake: I inverted these 2 rowers with the other 2 canoeists but I have resolved the problem Jahr0000 (talk) 16:53, 25 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

Marie Rosenfeld moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, Marie Rosenfeld, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Speedy deletion nomination of Mariya Princess Nizharadze

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Mariya Princess Nizharadze requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://www.olympedia.org/athletes/921268. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. The article List of athletes who competed in two or more sports at the Summer Olympic games has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Considering that we have a list of 85 athletes who medaled in two or more sports, List of athletes with Olympic medals in different sports, having a list of every athlete who competed in two or more sports seems not discriminate enough and will be very, very long.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. List of canoeists that competed in two canoeing disciplines moved to draftspace

edit

Thanks for your contributions to List of canoeists that competed in two canoeing disciplines. Unfortunately, it is not ready for publishing because it has no sources. Your article is now a draft where you can improve it undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Edward-Woodrow :) [talk] 00:32, 9 September 2023 (UTC)Reply

edit

Please do not introduce links in actual articles to draft articles, as you did to List of athletes who competed in more than one sport at Summer Olympic games. Since a draft is not yet ready for the main article space, it is not in shape for ordinary readers, and links from articles should not go to a draft. Such links are contrary to the Manual of Style. These links have been removed. Thank you. - Arjayay (talk) 10:41, 17 September 2023 (UTC)Reply
