Nii Tackie Tawiah III edit

Please be more careful with speedy deletion tagging, and make sure you're familiar with the criteria for speedy deletion before tagging pages for deletion. This tagging was way over the line separating "honest mistake" from "blatant abuse" – I find it hard to imagine a more obvious assertion of notability than "He is the current king". – iridescent 17:13, 9 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Pink's fifth studio album edit

I'm not sure why you decided that this album fell under the criteria for deletion. No, it doesn't have a name yet, but it has an official release date and a single already on the airwaves. It's fine the way it is. 71.64.154.24 (talk) 20:31, 12 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

  • The reference sources I deleted were links to the personal web pages of Pink, which, as you know, are not accepted as verifiable reference sources. 71.141.100.63 (talk) 23:57, 12 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Copyright violation on TMS page by Martin123 edit

Hello, The majority of the section on 'attentional control' does not constitute rephrasing but is taken word-for-word from the article. In spite of the text being cited, this constitutes plagiarism. We ask that this section be modified to appropriately paraphrase the content of the article, or that the section be deleted. Further action will be sought to remove this material if it is not significantly revised or deleted. Thank you.Thedustbuster (talk) 21:33, 12 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for wielding so swiftly the sword of WikiJustice, Gunnar. But not sure I'll try and be so "accurate" next time, or even bother, or needlessly hold my hands up after the event, following my telling off my The Anonymous Hoover. Anyone else is more than welcome to try and "rephrase" those concepts in their "own words". Martinevans123 (talk) 23:15, 12 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hi, I see you have started cleaning up after Weissmann as well. Feel free to tag his strange redirects with {{db-r3}} for speedy deletion. I'm close to suggesting he be blocked for his disruptive behavior. Cheers Kevin (talk) 09:42, 17 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Gunnar, there is no need to tag this article. It is important, I was a part of this. Do you know a little bit about this organization? Best --Weissmann (talk) 14:15, 17 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

I think the proper place to discuss the matter is the article's talk page. I have removed the PROD for now. Gunnar Hendrich (talk) 14:28, 17 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

campingkirche edit

Hi Gunnar, I would like to make a Wikipedia:NAC to Campingkirche with keep and change it to my proposed stub. You may rewrite or correct this, please. If there is an exsisting article (maybe Church service) where this could be a section, we can also redirect campingkirche and merge it. Will you please leave a comment at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Campingkirche. Your opinion is very appreciated. Thank you and schönes Wochenende. Sebastian scha. Hey,

Yes, I've been disruptive - however, my edits to User:Washburnmav and your own page have to be considered constructive.

I mean, its not like I deleted anything or added fabricated info - everything I put is true and provides its own proof.

Querandi edit

Not sure why, but you had begun editing this page while I was in the middle of correcting the translation from the Spanish, incorporating new information, and merging the Puelche article. Feel free to look it over and add any further info you might have. -LlywelynII (talk) 11:46, 3 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

There's nothing that says this should be chronological instead of reverse chronological. In any case, for some reason my edits are not showing up at the Querandi article at all now, even in the history. If you know what's up with that and can fix it, appreciate it, since spending another 30 minutes of wasted time isn't very appealing. -LlywelynII (talk) 11:55, 3 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
Never mind about the chronology, I just like it better that way and reorganize the page according to it.
Sorry if my minor changes resulted in any loss of your more extensive edit - actually the same happened to me here right now. I was in the process of answering you when you added your next commment. What I wanted to say was that I just made some minor style changes - removed the loop link to Puelche and put it in bold type instead. Lacking knowledge of the subject I cannot add any content to the article. Sorry again if my edits caused you trouble. Regards, Gunnar Hendrich (talk) 12:02, 3 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion of Antonio Moresco edit

A tag has been placed on Antonio Moresco requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. WP:Hornbook -- a new WP:Law task force for the J.D. curriculum edit

Hi Gunnar Hendrich,

I'm asking Wikipedians who are interested in United States legal articles to take a look at WP:Hornbook, the new "JD curriculum task force".

Our mission is to assimilate into Wikipedia all the insights of an American law school education, by reducing hornbooks to footnotes.

  • Over the course of a semester, each subpage will shift its focus to track the unfolding curriculum(s) for classes using that casebook around the country.
  • It will also feature an extensive, hyperlinked "index" or "outline" to that casebook, pointing to pages, headers, or {{anchors}} in Wikipedia (example).
  • Individual law schools can freely adapt our casebook outlines to the idiosyncratic curriculum devised by each individual professor.
  • I'm encouraging law students around the country to create local chapters of the club I'm starting at my own law school, "Student WP:Hornbook Editors". Using WP:Hornbook as our headquarters, we're hoping to create a study group so inclusive that nobody will dare not join.

What you can do now:

1. Add WP:Hornbook to your watchlist, {{User Hornbook}} to your userpage, and ~~~~ to Wikipedia:Hornbook/participants.
2. If you're a law student,
(You don't have to start the club, or even be involved in it; just help direct me to someone who might.)
3. Introduce yourself to me. Law editors on Wikipedia are a scarce commodity. Do knock on my talk page if there's an article you'd like help on.

Infobox Book edit

I see that you've added the "preceded by" and "followed by" fields to the infoboxes for a number of Philip Roth books. Note that the infobox page states, "The preceded_by and followed_by fields both apply to books in a series and to sequels." For example, the Harry Potter books. These fields don't apply to Roth's novels (except for the Zuckerman Bound trilogy) and I'll be removing them. —D. Monack talk 06:56, 2 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Unreferenced BLPs edit

Hello Gunnar Hendrich! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 940 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Europe 10,000 Challenge invite edit

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Europe/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like Germany, Italy, the Benelux countries, Iberian Peninsula, Romania, Slovenia etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. If you would like to see masses of articles being improved for Europe and your specialist country like Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon, sign up today and once the challenge starts a contest can be organized. This is a way we can target every country of Europe, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant and also sign under any country sub challenge on the page that you might contribute to! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 08:59, 6 November 2016 (UTC)Reply
