June 2016 edit

Hello, I'm Walter Görlitz. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Hillsong Young & Free, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Walter Görlitz (talk) 21:25, 12 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add or change content, as you did at Hillsong United (band), without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Walter Görlitz (talk) 21:26, 12 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

You keep adding Planetshakers to the Associated Acts of several articles but you have neither offered any prose to support the association nor is there any clear association other than they play similar forms of music. If you cannot provide actual proof of an association between the groups, I will have to take the discussion to a larger group. Walter Görlitz (talk) 06:16, 19 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

I see that you linked https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=planetshakers, but that YouTube thinks they're stylistically similar does not mean that they have what the template, and project, suggest are appropriate. Please see Template:Infobox musical artist#associated acts. "Groups that are merely similar" are not a valid association according to what's written there. Walter Görlitz (talk) 06:21, 19 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

September 2018 edit

Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did on G12 Worship. This violates Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Walter Görlitz (talk) 03:54, 9 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for your contributions. Please mark your edits, such as your recent edits to Fearless BND, as "minor" only if they are minor edits. In accordance with Help:Minor edit, a minor edit is one that the editor believes requires no review and could never be the subject of a dispute. Minor edits consist of things such as typographical corrections, formatting changes or rearrangement of text without modification of content. Additionally, the reversion of clear-cut vandalism and test edits may be labeled "minor". Also, none of the changes to that article are sourced. Deletion discussion about Planetboom edit

Hello, GJFBR,

I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether Planetboom should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Planetboom .

If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

Thanks,

An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Nada es Imposible (Planetshakers album), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Praise and worship (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Proposed deletion of Sé Quién Eres Tú edit

The article Sé Quién Eres Tú has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails WP:NALBUM. Not nominated for a major award and no RSes.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Correct titles of articles and uploading covers edit

Hi. Firstly, please do not put a full stop at the end of "Part". It is not correct; the sources on the Planetshakers album articles you started all either say "Part" or "Pt.", not "Part." Titles of articles, unless it's a universally used title, should not state "Part." anything. Also, please stop claiming that you are the author or have free license to distribute the album covers. You don't, as you don't own them, hence why they keep being deleted. I'm surprised you haven't been warned or even blocked from uploading on Commons yet. Commons does not allow fair use album covers. You should be uploading them directly to Wikipedia with the appropriate license—that of fair use, not that you are the author and free to distribute the cover when you're not. If you continue uploading these covers, I will point an admin to them. Learn how to use the proper license and where to upload fair use images. Thank you. Ss112 03:14, 6 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Legado album Planetshakers.jpg edit

Thank you for uploading File:Legado album Planetshakers.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Heaven On Earth album Planetshakers.jpg edit

A tag has been placed on File:Heaven On Earth album Planetshakers.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused duplicate or lower-quality copy of another file on Wikipedia having the same file format, and all inward links have been updated.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Request reason:

I made a mistake in creating and deleting an empty article through another account. However, I feel it is an exaggeration of the one-month blockade.

Decline reason:

This doesn't provide a reason why you think your use of multiple accounts was permitted under WP:SOCK and doesn't show where you disclosed your use of alternate accounts. Note that your use may have been legitimate, but you haven't established it yet. Yamla (talk) 18:11, 3 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

I already understood the rules of wikipedia, but I still think that it is an exaggeration the 1-month block should be considered with a warning before doing so unaware that it was a wikipedia policy to use another account. I'm so sorry I learned the lesson.

Decline reason:

A 1 month block is pretty generous. Typically, abusing multiple accounts will earn an indefinite block. SQLQuery me! 19:56, 12 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

GJFBR (talk) 03:34, 4 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

Be warned, you are in danger of having your block extended significantly. You seem to be saying you knew your actions were wrong ("I already understood the rules of Wikipedia") but deliberately violated them. And then you were surprised you were blocked instead of just being given a warning, despite knowing your actions were inappropriate. If this is the case, why on earth should you ever be unblocked? Why on earth shouldn't we extend your block indefinitely? --Yamla (talk) 12:34, 4 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

First, there is no way the socking with the named account was legitimate, whether the user "knew the rules" or didn't. It was pretty obnoxious shenanigans on the user's part. Second, in addition to the registered account socking, the user edited while logged out in an abusive way. Perhaps one month was too lenient, but it certainly wasn't too harsh.--Bbb23 (talk) 13:26, 4 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Category:Planetshakers musicians edit

A tag has been placed on Category:Planetshakers musicians requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion.

Hi - regarding New Life Worship - I just removed a bunch of citations from the article which you added after my review. I guess you're aware of this already, but just in case, the standard of source we look for is at WP:RS. Some of those looked like fairly random fan sites or blogs; there were also a couple of links to Spotify, which as a commercial and promotional website we should definitely avoid linking to. December 2020 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, articles should not be moved, as you did to Fear Not, without good reason. They should have a name that is both accurate and intuitive. Wikipedia has some guidelines in place to help with this. Generally, a page should only be moved to a new title if the current name doesn't follow these guidelines. Also, if a page move is being discussed, consensus needs to be reached before anybody moves the page. If you would like to experiment with page titles and moving, please use the test Wikipedia. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. --Jax 0677 (talk) 21:10, 5 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion".
