Re: sock puppet - not sure about how I got flagged - I imagine it was an auto based off IP (From work) - no other info, and I can still edit... so not a clue - I figured I'd worry about it later. :) Thanks again for making me feel welcome! Hutch1970 (talk) 16:48, 30 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Rule of the strongest

edit

Hi, I saw you made some edits to the -cracy template. I was wondering, what kind of -cracy is "the rule of the strongest"? I saw kritarchy, rule of the natural law. Is that the same? Mallerd (talk) 18:47, 30 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Yes, that was the one. Are you saying you know as much as I do about this? Mallerd (talk) 20:38, 30 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Thanks Fishal

Proposal at Talk:Barack Obama

edit

Hey there, Fishal. Would you be interested in helping formulate the new "Cultural perception" paragraph I've proposed at Talk:Barack_Obama#New_Cultural_perception_paragraph_proposal:_Viral_emails? I'm hoping it could satisfy your desire for more diligence in that section. Shem(talk) 19:49, 11 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Request to move article I Got a Crush... on Obama incomplete

edit

You recently filed a request at Wikipedia:Requested moves to move the page I Got a Crush... on Obama to a different title - however your proposal is either incomplete or has been contested as being controversial. As a result, it has been moved to the incomplete and contested proposals section. Requests that remain incomplete after five days will be removed.

Please make sure you have completed all three of the following:

  1. Added {{move|NewName}} at the top of the talk page of the page you want moved, replacing "NewName" with the new name for the article. This creates the required template for you there.
  2. Added {{subst:RMtalk|NewName|reason for move}} to the bottom of the talk page of the page you want to be moved, to automatically create a discussion section there.
  3. Added {{subst:RMlink|PageName|NewName|reason for move}} to the top of today's section here.

If you need any further guidance, please leave a message at Wikipedia talk:Requested moves or contact me on my talk page. - JPG-GR (talk) 23:47, 30 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Gossamer.jpg)

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Gossamer.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 04:31, 13 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for uploading Image:Monotones.jpg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

This is an automated notice by FairuseBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. --FairuseBot (talk) 23:40, 21 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

FYI

edit

I saw you were the person who wikilinked Joan Sinclair in the article Pink Box: Inside Japan's Sex Clubs.

Did you start the Joan Sinclair article?

An administrator named User:Kingboyk deleted the Joan Sinclair article. The entries Kingboyk put in the deletion log would imply to many people that his deletion was in response to an earlier {{db}} tag.

One night, about a year ago, Kingboyk started deleting articles I started. And the log entries he place in deletion log implied he was responding to {{db}} tags.

But, in the event, he wasn't. I have been waiting almost a year for Kingboyk's explanation as to why he deleted these articles.

When an ordinary wikipedian has a concern that an article meets one of criteria for speedy deletion, the deletion policies recommend they leave a note on the talk page of the person who started the article, and on the talk pages of the major contributors. Google doesn't show me that anyone left that warning on anyone's talk page. Mind you the warning could have been deleted.

But, given Kingboyk's previous reluctance to explain himself in the past he may have decided to unilaterally delete the Joan Sinclair article as well.

I am going to ask for userification of this article, to User:Geo Swan/review/Joan Sinclair.

Cheers! Geo Swan (talk) 17:12, 21 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for your reply. So, you didn't start the article on Joan Sinclair? I wonder who did. Well, I'll find out if the article is userified. Geo Swan (talk) 19:34, 21 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

That was ridiculous

edit

DO NOT ever redirect the entry on RationalWiki to the entry on Conservapedia, and do not EVER revert the entry to that same vandalism. I just undid your mess. If you want to make ridiculous "edits" keep it on conservapedia. Clearly you are either A. in the business of reverse vandalism in support of CP or B. just plain silly. You know full well why RationalWiki should not ever redirect to CP. Jersey John (talk) 06:00, 22 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

File source problem with File:Wu_zong_tang.jpg

edit

File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Wu_zong_tang.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 12:17, 8 April 2009 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Calliopejen1 (talk) 12:17, 8 April 2009 (UTC)Reply
