Hello East718, i notice you have deleted my recent image upload. Can I ask on what grounds? I have been given permission from the copyright holder. Do I need to show evidence for this or something? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Voncrass (talkcontribs) 00:07, 1 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

That shouldn't be a problem, I already have his permission. So how do I go about getting licensing, is there some procedure to follow? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Voncrass (talkcontribs) 00:15, 1 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Image:VictoriaV07.jpg

Hi, I'm requesting that you restore Image:VictoriaV07.jpg. I propose to use this in Seras Victoria. It was used there previously, but was replaced with fan art (Image:Seras 16-1.jpg) of the character. Since both are non-free, I think the picture used in the work itself better illustrates the character. Thanks, --Phirazo 01:00, 1 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Zuoken

Hello! :) Late last year, Zuoken was proposed for deletion. Five days passed and no one contested it, so you deleted the article as expected. In retrospect, I feel someone should have merged and/or redirected the article to List of Greyhawk deities. After the fact, I decided to create a redirect anyway. I'm wondering if it's possible to restore the original article, and turn it into a redirect, thus preserving the edit history? If you agree, you can obliterate the current edit history, or just add it to the original edit history. Thanks, BOZ (talk) 02:35, 1 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

You're awesome, thanks! :) BOZ (talk) 02:37, 1 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hello! As you protected the template from edits, could you please replace the flags for the parameters royal and royalnavy, with Image:Hellenic Kingdom Flag 1935.svg and Image:Hellenic Naval Ensign 1935.svg respectively? These are both better and more accurate versions. Thank you and cheers, Cplakidas (talk) 11:23, 1 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Why did you delete something on my userspace without premission? ComputerGuy890100Talk to meWhat I've done to help Wikipedia 15:47, 1 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Why did you delete it at all? There was no need to delete it and consensus of the Wikipedia community was to keep it. — BQZip01 — talk 20:54, 1 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
Yes, there may have been some conflict, but the discussion at WP:ANI was almost strictly amongst admins. No outside input seems to have been elicited (i.e. "A page in your user space has been nominated for deletion..." or anything along those lines. With contrary inputs from a large portion of the community (2 admins vs. ~20 users), I do not believe you should have initiated such an action, at least without some discussion from the Wikipedia Community. I've noticed a recent spat of "This is not productive and should be deleted" mentality across Wikipedia where the harm is nonexistent and the time wasted defending such spurious request is problematic (I'm NOT saying this is the case here, but that this is where I am coming from). I humbly request that the deleted pages simply be put up for discussion at WP:MfD where wider community input can be assessed; I think that is only fair. — BQZip01 — talk 04:44, 2 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Josiah leming deletion-Want Josiah Leming page

I want a Josiah Leming page.

I was aware that a while back that it was up for discussion, but since the page was available whenever I checked, I thought that the discussion had ended in favor of having a Josiah Leming page. I attended a week long conference away from the internet and find I missed the discussion during that time frame. If I could have been allowed to participate, I would have strongly favored keeping a Josiah Leming page.

A dedicated Josiah Leming page was useful to me and represented what I liked about Wikipedia, which was popular, current, and hot topics that are in a process of change so that it is worth my time to check the Wikipedia page from time to time. Historical and demographic information that is fairly static is easy enough to find from other sources. If I have to dig through another page to find information about Josiah Leming then that also defeats the purpose of Wikipedia being quick and easy to use versus another source. Without a page like a Josiah Leming page being available, Wikipedia is too much like the competition and frankly is not much use to me.

Watching someone who has great potential launch a career with a fascinating background story, this is the point in the time of someone’s life that I find most interesting, compared to years later when I have heard the same facts over and over again. Also he is someone young who has experienced more than average several lifetimes. He also was a very controversial cut on the most popular television show currently. I find him to be fascinating and notable. He has that “it factor”.

Glancing at the list of other topics that are still waiting to be included, I am wondering if there is a snob factor toward popular culture or at the very least, a gap between the decision makers who decide what is notable versus other segments of the population. I do wish that the decision makers at Wikipedia had a wider understanding of what different groups in the population find to be notable.

I do comprehend that Wikipedia is overwhelmed with requests for topics, but I have little interest in most of the other pages offered by Wikipedia. Frankly, I am enough of a data geek that I don’t really need Wikipedia to find information. Wikipedia was mostly a nice starter page to move on to more detailed sites or in the case of Josiah Leming, a nice page to find quick and timely information that was also abbreviated enough that I found comfortable enough to refer to other people.

I understand that you were following policy, specifically deletion policy. I have a master’s degree in public policy and years of government experience dealing with policies. However, I have policies of my own and I will maintain a personal policy of boycotting all other Wikipedia pages until a Josiah Leming page exists again.

If Josiah Leming is not notable enough for Wikipedia policies, then Wikipedia is not notable enough for me to use. By having policies that excludes a page such as Josiah Leming, then I am obviously not the intended audience for the current Wikipedia anyway. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Soapbox0916 (talkcontribs) 21:48, 4 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Perhaps I'd lost my cool at the time, but I don't remember doing that. Basketball110  Talk  03:19, 5 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
You say "I don't remember doing that" like it wasn't you, but this IP address is obviously yours. Then you say you "lost your cool," come on, that's no excuse! I have very little tolerance for people who abuse multiple accounts to avoid scrutiny or segregate bad edits they don't want associated with them - usually I end up blocking them forever. Tell me, why should you be different? east.718 at 03:24, April 5, 2008
I didn't say it ("I don't remember doing that") as if the IP isn't mine. As you can see, I have made edits on that IP. I said that as if I didn't remember making that edit. Maybe I did. I don't really remember, and that's the truth. And your recent comment reminds me of someone pushing me off of a cliff. Basketball110  Talk  03:29, 5 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
You still haven't attempted to explain anything beyond "I don't remember it." And I'm not looking to block you here either, that would be pretty lame nine days after the fact. I'm just trying to pick your brain. :-) east.718 at 03:37, April 5, 2008
Pick away. Also, do you change your signature every 5 minutes? Basketball110  Talk  03:41, 5 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
Well, Basketball110 could have siblings and networked computers that use the same IP. Especially if a home-brewed server is incorporated, in which case only the sever's IP would only be reported. Additionally, if the service provider doesn't provide a static IP (ie. DialUP, Municipal WIFI, or in rarity DSL), then the IP could easily be that of another's or an entire group. (reply to above) Charter's headquarters are in St. Louis, but your IP address goes to 33°21′08″N 97°12′31″W / 33.35222°N 97.20861°W / 33.35222; -97.20861, which is around Sanger. And no, you're not running a server (I checked), and you have a long-term IP lease. So let's stop insulting my intelligence and quit pretending that you didn't do this, kthx? I know how it goes. You got pissed at CBM for putting your name in his mouth and wanted to show him what's good. You logged out and blanked his userpage to get a rush thinking nobody would know. Well, I did and we're here. Got some better answers? east.718 at 03:56, April 5, 2008
"Insulting your intelegence" Huh? How? Also, there is no way to tell if one has a long term IP lease unless you happen to have checked with the DynDNS registetry or equivilant service. RC-0722 247.5/1 04:04, 5 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Actually, East is one of the nicer admins whose less likely to block first and then ask questions. I can think of half a dozen admins who would've indef blocked as soon as they saw the connection. The fact he's giving you a chance to admit what happened, apologize and move on is rather impressive to me. MBisanz talk 04:16, 5 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for that word of encouragment. The fact is that I don't remember vandalizing that page (now with all this, I'm convinced I did). I probably did, but I don't particularly remember it. But if you were in my position (I'm not just talking about the allegations of canvassing) I would bet a lot of money that you would have done the same thing, if not worse. I apologize. Two things though... it's actually Denton, not Sanger. And you didn't answer my sig question, East. Ladies and gentlemen of Wikipedia (half of which are watch this, or I feel that way)... pick away. Basketball110  Talk  04:20, 5 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
Another non-apology apology... sigh... I don't even know why I'm chasing this since I'm not going to block you - that would not be a good look so late. And no, most people wouldn't have done worse. They would have participated in a civil conversation with the user in question, or asked for assistance if they felt backed down for some reason. I'm obviously trying to squeeze blood from a stone here, so I won't pursue this any further. Oh, and my sig is magic. east.718 at 04:28, April 5, 2008
For personal reasons, i'm not going to tell you what they are, but under conditions, you would have, believe me. Basketball110  Talk  04:30, 5 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
East being one of the nicer admins isn't the issue. The matter is is that he has accused Basketball110 of being a sockpuppet and essentially a vandal. Now, we given several answers and none of them were taken seriously and were considered an insult upon his intelligence. RC-0722 247.5/1 04:23, 5 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Adoption Program

Well, my program was deleted. Do you think I could at least keep the classroom? Any comments?--RyRy5 Got something to say? 23:29, 5 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

The answer is no. This is for two reasons: it was part of your adoption program, which has been deleted by fiat of the community, and because it suffered from the same problems pointed out in the MFD; namely too much red tape and too little good advice being given out. east.718 at 23:36, April 5, 2008
Well, it will be different. If it sounds or looks almost the same, you can delete it, or someone else can instead. You don't have to accept. But I at least need something to teach my adoptees. I have depleted my adoptees to only 1-3, so it won't be very active. Can I at least give an example of the classroom?--RyRy5 Got something to say? 23:40, 5 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
Why do you need a special page to help people out? Is there some deficiency in the functionality of talk pages? east.718 at 23:45, April 5, 2008
I plan to have a page where my adoptees can have goals to accoplish. For Example,1 week:make 50 mainspace edits. It is an easier way of remembering if there is a special page.--RyRy5 Got something to say? 23:58, 5 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
Goals are a bad thing. This isn't a game where you go "I made fifty edits, I'm up to level three!" or "I reverted a vandal, I got ten points! Look at me, I killed the bad guy!!!" - it's an encyclopedia where you participate at your own pace. east.718 at 00:05, April 6, 2008
Ok, I won't create it. I appreciate you trying to help me. Thanks! Do you have any comments?--RyRy5 Got something to say? 00:06, 6 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
Going out of your way to help other users out is a very admirable thing, and something you should continue doing. However, please make sure that the advice you are giving is good - if you're at all unsure, run questions by a more knowledgeable user you're on good terms with. east.718 at 00:48, April 6, 2008
I have been doing that. I have been mainly asking User:Jj137. I hope you'll come visit my new userpage when it's created. Cheers & thank you.RyRy5 Got something to say? 00:52, 6 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Yeah, the timeline is a bit fishy. I might be able to get away with killing that unilaterally, but would have to deal with DRV, which would inevitably lead to an overturn and relisting at MFD and so on... :-) The other thing is that it doesn't appear to suffer from excessive red tape just yet, but we'll just see where it goes. MFD seems like the best and most painless option for now. east.718 at 07:16, April 6, 2008

The fact that the image was unused is obviously subsidiary to the non-free point, as it was under the non-free claim that it was removed from Ed Petrie by Islander, and also the "not used" tag carried a later date (it said the image would be deleted after 5 April - a day later) What's the rationale, and in any case shouldn't the image talk page remain. What is the status of the article and, more importantly, why exactly was it placed back under full-protection when it was reduced to semi-protection a while back. There are good edits that can improve that page that are being placed on hold while we wait. I feel that if there are further difficulties agreeing on what should be done with the page, then it can at least be discussed openly on the talk page. Thanks for hearing me out.Unak78 (talk) 14:29, 6 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

  • Thanks for the quick response. I was unaware of the legal issues concerning the Miletich camp so I'm interested in researching it. On another note here is a transcript of my proposed changes:
    • Request that article Miletich Fighting Systems (IFL camp) as an extension of the existing article. Concensus was previously reached in the discussion for the proposed merger for two other articles of the same nature. The discussion is being archived and can be seen on the IFL Talk Page. Due to the current state of this article I did not include it in the merger discussion but the same caveats that applied to the two articles in question also apply here. In addition the code with whicj the article's main logo is displayed has also changed. Example of the requested changes are as follows with a merge/redirect link from the IFL article:

tiananment square

the style guide you refer to makes an exception for temporary NPOV templates; indeed, it's why we see NPOV templates at all! Could you put my edition to a vote, since it is very pertinent, and doesn't violate the no disclaimer style guide. (read especially the end of that guide)

Imagine if no one in Australia could edit the Sydney article! While that is true, the article should certainly reflect it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.122.97.186 (talk) 12:29, 7 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

The template you put on top of the article wasn't a template about an NPOV dispute, but a disclaimer. While your intent was admirable, it's just silly to go around slapping these things on articles - you wouldn't put a messagebox on top of ass to mouth that it might be blocked at some workplaces, would you? east.718 at 01:06, April 8, 2008

Lipodissolve/Injection Lipolysis wiki

Dear East718:

All has been quiet in SockPuppet land on the Injection Lipolysis wiki . . . . until recently.

I have a COI, so I should/will not remove the recent anonymous (IP address only) edit to the wiki. That said, the recent edit is clearly biased, so in the event you were still watching the wiki, I thought I would point it out.

The previously rampant SockPuppetry on that wiki has largely subsided because the two organizations that were responsible went out of business. But some stragglers remain.

Thanks!

I don't really care about that, but then when I went to: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk:East718&action=edit and got the same thing except-you are currently unable to edit pages on Wikipedia. the instructions provided in the "additional information" section below.. Inappropriate block

You chose to indefinitely block User:FlagTheError. I previously alerted you to avoid biting the newbies and that this user is not a sock of mine and lives a long distance from me. There is some discussion of this here[1] and here[2]. Can you consider fixing this, though this user is quite discouraged. DanaUllmanTalk 04:01, 11 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

I was going to give some good faith to Flagtheerror about how to avoid further blocks, and how to convince East718 to unblock him, but when I was still starting to write the comment I looked at the time of the block and I loled [3] --Enric Naval (talk) 13:28, 11 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
Enric, East718 will tell you that I emailed him on April 3rd shortly after FlagTheError alerted me to the block. I realize now that I should have just posted the comment at East's user page so that we could have avoid Enric's hyper-suspicious remarks where he again tries to throw mud at me...but throwing mud is getting him more and more dirty. I also alerted Flagtheerror to say that s/he could email East718 directly, though this newbie didn't know how to do that. DanaUllmanTalk 13:51, 11 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
Dana, I think you should ignore this situation. Let the user request unblock on their own, and stop taking the bait. Jehochman Talk 14:03, 11 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
Well, I wasn't throwing mud at you, Dana, and sorry if I unadvertingly BAITed you. At the end, I just left some good faith advice on Flagtheerror's talk page to help him getting unblocked, since he can perfectly be just a good faith editor unrelated to you that wants to defend your reputation for some reason. East718 has more experience and has all the information, so I am sure that he can clear this and guide Flag on getting himself unblocked. --Enric Naval (talk) 18:06, 11 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Kingston Canadian Film Festival

Hello East718! :) In December last year, the page for the Kingston Canadian Film Festival was proposed for deletion. You deleted it after five days, as was expected. I feel someone should have contested it because only last month the festival held its 8th annual celebration as the biggest festival for Canadian-only films. I was disappointed to not find it listed here and I would appreciate knowing the reasons why it was deleted. If the reasons were content related, would it be possible to restore the page so that I might try and improve the article? I can easily find reputable websites referencing the festival. I see what it is. You deleted content from talk pages that are redirects, such as this. [5] But if there is discussion on those pages, why would you delete it? Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? 11:58, 13 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
I don't get it. If there is content on those talk pages, it should stay. And if there isn't content, there's nothing to delete. Please explain. OK, I see. When a page is moved, the talk content moves with it, leaving a redirect from the article (which makes sense) and a redirect from the talk page (which is "not needed", for reasons you've stated). Roger. Carry on. :) Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? 12:12, 13 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Deletions of old talk pages

I have noticed that you delete "old" (say 22 days old) talk pages. Does it correspond an official WP policy? Incoming links to talk page redirects

Re: this. There are still some incoming links to some of the talk page redirects you are deleting. Not many, and not very important ones (many are links to bot-generated lists), but referring to them as "orphaned" is not strictly correct. Also, redirects are cheap. Unauthorised adminbot?

I just tried to post a message here laying out irrefutable evidence that you're running an adminbot on this account. Ended up in an edit conflict with mrg3105. Following the thread led me to where you openly state on mrg3105's talk page that you're running a bot on your account to delete pages.

I don't understand. When last I checked, running an unauthorised adminbot on your admin account was about as forbidden as it gets. Grounds for an emergency desysop even. Has the bot policy changed? Have you actually been given permission to run an adminbot on your account?

Hesperian 12:52, 13 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

I frankly don't see what the problem is. I know this is verging dangerously close to rules-lawyering, but if your definition of "unapproved" is "approved by BRFA and RFA", then no, this robot is not approved. That said, there are circumstances under which normally untoward behavior may be acceptable, but only when the full implications are understood and considered carefully. This is exactly what I've done - this bot has been vetted and run by several other admins in the past to the tune of over 130,000 deletions with absolutely no error rate. Considering that removing useless pages is a reasonable thing to do in my eyes, I figured since the job can be done and there's no reasonable process within which to do it (an adminbot policy), I might as well go ahead. I also don't see why running this robot is inherently evil; I have been trusted by the community to use my buttons and I'm making a good use of them - I take full responsibility for my actions and am prepared to face the consequences should something mess up. Lastly, it's not as if I write adminbots with some devious intent to damage Wikipedia - quite the contrary. It's performing a task that I'd do manually anyway with an accuracy most flesh-and-blood administrators would envy.

That said, here's why I'm deleting all these pages: being orphaned, they serve absolutely no internal value, as nobody will ever arrive at it from a link and being how we don't search in the Talk: namespace. They only amount to clutter that is prone to all sorts of foolishness - I recently went through all Image talk: pages and found tons of vandalism; those I passed off to another administrator to delete. More unwanted effects of these pages existing is that they may prevent future pagemoves, and also waste resources in fixing whenever the target changes. Also, since these pages have no history, no discussion ever took place on them at any time.

I welcome whatever other comments you have, provided they don't contains threats of emergency desysopping, something we reserve only for compromised or vandalizing accounts. :-) east.718 at 13:08, April 13, 2008

More and more it seems that people here actively seek to read benign comments as threats or personal attacks. Perhaps we should give this trend a name: "The Mikkalai effect" has a nice ring to it.
I have no opinion or comment on this issue except that if it is now considered acceptable to run an unauthorised adminbot, then community standards on this point have altered beyond recognition in the last year or so.
This requires wider discussion. I'll move this discussion to AN/I.

"this bot has been vetted and run by several other admins in the past to the tune of over 130,000 deletions" - could you expand on that bit. Also, do you check that there are no redirects pointing at the redirects (ie. double redirects)? If there are, then you are creating work for User:RedirectCleanupBot, and if one of your deletions is incorrect, then the subsequent deletion by RedirectCleanupBot will be wrong as well. And I still see links pointing to talk page redirects that you have deleted. See here (User:B/NFL data 4 had a link to Talk:Jack Thompson (American football) that now fails to redirect to Talk:Jack Thompson (American football player). There are plenty of other examples. Most of the links are to "quality assessment" logs, but whether links from those places should be turned red (most are archived to the page history eventually) could be discussed. Again, I ask you, where were the discussions held about this, in the past and now? Carcharoth (talk) 13:22, 13 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
  • "since these pages have no history, no discussion ever took place on them at any time" - um, these are redirects left behind by page moves. The reason they don't have history is because the pages got moved and the edit history is in a new location! <takes deep breath> Maybe you mean redirects that were edited and then turned back into a redirect? Carcharoth (talk) 13:24, 13 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
Re the WP 1.0 ones, they will fix themselves the next time WP 1.0 bot runs. I've had that situation before with WP 1.0 assessments pointing to pages that either no longer exist or are no longer located where they were. Orderinchaos 13:26, 13 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
  • Finally, since you are using a bot, why not get the bot to update the pages to the new links, while ignoring pages that transclude {{Log}}? Carcharoth (talk) 13:29, 13 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
  • Some more points I'm not clear on:
    • "I recently went through all Image talk: pages and found tons of vandalism; those I passed off to another administrator to delete." - could you provide examples and more details? Carcharoth (talk) 13:32, 13 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
    • "More unwanted effects of these pages existing is that they may prevent future pagemoves" - really? How? Carcharoth (talk) 13:32, 13 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
    • "and also waste resources in fixing whenever the target changes." - I agree with this - you are referring to double redirects, right? I have a horrible feeling I have only ever fixed article double redirects when moving, and have never checked for talk page double redirects... Carcharoth (talk) 13:32, 13 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

could you expand on that bit. Sure. This bot was coded by Misza13 (it's open-source and can be grabbed from his toolserver repository), and has been run many times in the past by himself, DerHexer, MZMcBride, myself, and anybody else who does it secretly.

Also, do you check that there are no redirects pointing at the redirects (ie. double redirects)? Yes, I do (redirects are a valid link).

And I still see links pointing to talk page redirects that you have deleted. See here (User:B/NFL data 4 had a link to Talk:Jack Thompson (American football) that now fails to redirect to Talk:Jack Thompson (American football player). I intentionally did not check for report pages. Most of these will be updated by the WP 1.0 bot very soon, the rest wouldn't be useful anyway - what's there to report on with contentless pages?

Finally, since you are using a bot, why not get the bot to update the pages to the new links, while ignoring pages that transclude {{Log}}? I am not confident that I'd be able to do this with perfection.

could you provide examples and more details? Sure, MZMcBride was responsible for those deletions.

really? How? Whenever the target is changed and a bot updates the redirect, it destroys the ability for a non-administrator to move over that page, now that the redirect now has a history.

I agree with this - you are referring to double redirects, right? Exactly. east.718 at 13:46, April 13, 2008

Adminbot request

Would you have time to look at this? The consensus there seems to be that the images listed at User:Nilfanion/SVGlist need to be undeleted (even the blue ones, as Commons images may be showing through). The undeletion should also clear the db tags left by Betacommand. I don't personally object to adminbots, but they should be used to reverse admins actions as well. Terminology confusion

Just to clear one thing up. Do you realise that some people use "orphaned talk pages" to refer to talk pages where the corresponding article has been deleted? See User:Interiot/Reports/CSD-G8 orphaned talk pages. Wikipedia:Orphan and other definitions refer to lack of incoming links, which is the sense in which you are using it. Talk Page Redirects

Please do not delete talk page redirects anymore. At least not without a proper discussion at WP:R or other suitable community page. Talk page redirects are helpful; not harmful. I'm obviously going to refrain from doing this anymore, and would love to discuss this with you somewhere else. Bluelinked talk page redirects

While quickly looking through the 10,000+ list to check they were all the same sort of deletion, I noticed some had turned blue. Would you have time to have a look at my analysis?

It was quite interesting following up on the varied reactions to a deletion run like that! Carcharoth (talk) 20:10, 13 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

All this hysteria is because deletions and page moves started showing up on the watchlist. Previously no one noticed them. I knew about them only because one day I was looking at my edit count and noticed huge amount of deleted contributions... When I investigated, most of them were speedy tags and talk page redirects. So, in short, stop panicking and let the guy do his job :) Renata (talk) 20:10, 13 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

As I've said elsewhere, best practice is not always the same as current practice. See this for a dissenting opinion. This is why discussion is always best. I've also said that with deletions showing up on watchlists, admins that do lots of maintenance like this will get a lot more questions, some from people who are not as reasonable or verbose as me (ie. some people will be rude and abusive and then walk away), and some people will misunderstand what is happening. If East has a discussion to point to, to say "this was discussed and approved here", then there will be less problems. Carcharoth (talk) 20:16, 13 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Persecution of my account by Poyoyloar

Hello - this is the only message I'll send so as to not innundate the editors. A few months ago, I attempted to test my Wikipedia skills by creating entries for two people who I actually happened to know something about. Yes, I've worked with them on their magazine, but I felt that their contributions to the independent film community had some merit. If Wikipedia feels otherwise, then so be it and I appologize in advance. However, a user named Poyoyloar has some vendetta against these two for some reason or another. If you'll direct your attention to his history:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/Poyoyloar

His first appearance on Wikipedia was April 6 and his sole contributions to the site seems to be in attacking the two articles I created. Now, whether Wikipedia decides to delete these entries or not, again, I'll stand by the decision. But I've grown weary of his attacks and felt that it should come to the attention of the Wikipedia editors. The evidence is plain. If he wants to accuse me of "sockpuppetry" or whatever, there is nothing I can do to prove that I am not Mike Watt, Amy Lynn Best or Dwaltzwriter. I am, as I admitted, acquaintances of theirs, so if that is an offense, then, again, I apologize.

Thank you for your time. ArchieHall (talk) 11:26, 14 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
