Disambiguation link notification edit
Hi. In I Like It, The First Mini-Album, you recently added links to the disambiguation pages English and Korean (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Similar member position problems edit
I've been getting the same problems with users (mainly IP) changing people's positions back and forth. I even put references providing their position and people still change it. The best way to get them to stop was to add <!--Comments--> like I did for Sistar. They stopped changing the spelling of their names after that. Check out what I did for M.I.B's member sections. Jae ₩on (Deposit) 15:34, 17 December 2011 (UTC)
- I think fans make up their own positions for these groups. The main thing is who is lead vocalist and main vocalist. I see that position being changed a lot. But I see what you talking about when the company don't provide official positions on their websites, I wish the members in groups would tell their fans. If they don't say their position, they should be given the position of vocalist without the lead or main. I usually learn things on Wikipedia by reading the Manual of Style and studying other articles. Mainly, trial and error when somebody undo it by saying that it isn't correct. Asking people helps too. - Haha. Yesterday, I spent half the day converting articles from one infobox to another. I thought there was 18 but turn out to be 19. I finished it so now I can have to upload posters of the shows. Jae ₩on (Deposit) 21:36, 17 December 2011 (UTC)
- I might. I was going to leave up to Jay Park's contributors to make it. lol but yeah, I'll make sure Chocolat is mentioned. Jae ₩on (Deposit) 22:33, 17 December 2011 (UTC)

It's not deleted. I just posted the link to it so I could click on it. Easier to make draft articles that way. Jae ₩on (Deposit) 01:13, 18 December 2011 (UTC)
- Nobility is always being checked when creating. That's why I don't move article until I have enough sources. Haha. Never heard of them. X Girlz didn't last long but Kimm joined another group called New Block Babyz. Jae ₩on (Deposit) 01:20, 18 December 2011 (UTC)
- I had a problem like that this morning. Somebody (IP contributor) had put M.I.B into the boy band category. I had to remove before somebody got the wrong idea. I said, "If they are a boy band then Drunken Tiger is too". Jae ₩on (Deposit) 01:30, 18 December 2011 (UTC)

- Male idol groups...probably groups that are like Boyz 2 Men. 2NISE is one. Jae ₩on (Deposit) 02:09, 18 December 2011 (UTC)
- lol yeah. Fan girls are vicious. You won't catch me criticizing a boy band in front of a mob of them. Jae ₩on (Deposit) 02:28, 18 December 2011 (UTC)
- You too? That's why I don't post barely anything on Allkpop unless I'm a fan of somebody. I've been people badmouthed for criticizing certain groups. Jae ₩on (Deposit) 02:36, 18 December 2011 (UTC)
- Only good reason to say somebody isn't talented is if they got catch lip-syncing all their songs, their singing is over-hyped or they are praised for just their looks. I don't criticize on looks but if people get praised for something other than their occupation then I have a problem. For me, only problem I have with SNSD is there is too many girls in the group for each one get their share. 9 is too many. 101 Dalmatians is crazy. lol Jae ₩on (Deposit) 03:07, 18 December 2011 (UTC)
- Haha. Too many people groups can cause problems. Surprised that there isn't a law on music groups. Five members should be the maximum. Jae ₩on (Deposit) 03:18, 18 December 2011 (UTC)
- Lol. That's just greedy. They could at least break them up in half. Except one member going solo. But I thought Girls' Generation were representatives of girls of their generations when I first heard of then. When I found out the truth, I felt so let down. I rather be Wonder Bread for the Wonder Girls. Jae ₩on (Deposit) 03:28, 18 December 2011 (UTC)

Replaceable fair use File:Chocolat group with all members.jpg edit
Thanks for uploading File:Chocolat group with all members.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the media description page and edit it to add
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}
, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template. - On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. We hope (talk) 19:22, 20 December 2011 (UTC)
Picture edit
I had that problem in 2006 when I didn't know about Creative Commons licenses. Wikipedia is trying have pictures that are mostly free or have permission to use. You should read up on Creative Commons licenses, they will help when you want pictures for articles that you are contributing to. The combinations are easier to remember: Creative Commons licenses. The combination CC BY-SA is the best one. Pictures that you want to use are uploaded on Wikimedia Commons. A lot of pictures come from Flickr. And don't worry, you wasn't bothering me. You can ask questions, anytime. Jae ₩on (Deposit) 02:12, 21 December 2011 (UTC)

More information needed about File:Count On Me (Digital Single).png edit
Thanks for uploading File:Count On Me (Digital Single).png. However, it needs some more work before it is okay to use on Wikipedia.
Please click here and do the following:
- Add a description of where the image comes from (not what it is) and who the creator is. Please be specific, and include a link if you can.
- Find the appropriate license from the list of free, non-free media, or public domain options. Copy the license template and paste it in the file's page, and save.
If you follow these steps, your image can help enhance Wikipedia. If you have any questions, feel free to ask at the media copyright questions page.
Thank you for your contribution! --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 01:07, 25 January 2012 (UTC)

Trivia edit
Hey man, I appreciate the edits you are making for the kpop articles. I think you're falling into a trap by putting a Trivia section in these articles. First, it's generally against the style guidelines - see WP:TRIVIA. Also, it will just tend to fill up full of junk that random people decide to throw in there. I don't think you have a good source in a blog, it doesn't really fit as a reputable source (even though we all know the fanclub names and such). Hope you reconsider adding the trivia section and incorporating it into the article text instead. Evaders99 (talk) 07:40, 6 March 2012 (UTC)

April 2012 edit
Please do not add or change content without verifying it by citing reliable sources, as you did to Shinee. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Such a table with member information is unacceptable in an encyclopedia. It does not make it look prettier. The transliterations are redundant, as are the birthdates, since this is supposed to be a list of members, not of their qualities. Moreover, they have articles where all this stuff can be added, if it is necessary in the first place. Please refrain from turning Wikipedia articles into fan pages. Thank you. Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but when you add or change content, as you did to the article F(x) (band), please cite a reliable source for your addition. This helps maintain our policy of verifiability. See Wikipedia:Citing sources for how to cite sources, and the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Your recent editing history at F(x) (band) shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.
To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. Δρ.Κ. λόγοςπράξις 00:19, 8 May 2012 (UTC)

Hiya, I'm getting really confused over the categorization of 4minute's Heart to Heart. Is it a single, a mini-album, or an EP? If it's technically not an EP, can that info about the 18:37 length single be merged with the Heart to Heart (4minute song) page since it already has all the details from the Japanese single? AngusWOOF (talk) 21:48, 8 July 2012 (UTC)
- That sounds good. go ahead and merge the information into the Heart to Heart (4minute song), and then you can change the mini-album page to a redirect link. AngusWOOF (talk) 22:28, 8 July 2012 (UTC)
Hello Dubulge. I have removed those lists of compositions again: it is simply not encyclopedic material, and it is of interest only to fans. First of all, the sourcing is lousy--one can argue that for some cases primary sourcing is allowed, but there's lyrics websites and fan sites, and those aren't reliable sources. Second, having such a list basically means that the entire article is a list, and that's not good article writing. Write up, in prose, what notable compositions are, and provide decent sourcing. That's moving forward--moving away from what appears to be no more than some fan sites that lists everything and says nothing. Thank you, Drmies (talk) 06:24, 14 December 2012 (UTC)

I lost the same battle with Sondra Locke's birth year. Wikipedia reflects what reliable sources state, which can be far different than the truth many times. Could we change it to say some sources state 3 and others state 5?--Canoe1967 (talk) 02:40, 28 January 2013 (UTC)
- I don't really care whether both or none are included. Others may argue policy and insist on both or 5 from the more reliable sources. You may wish to change it to both or none before they start up that battle and policy/consensus would have it state 5 only; like the 2 years remaining in Ms. Locke's article because of policy and consensus.--Canoe1967 (talk) 02:54, 28 January 2013 (UTC)

You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. Asian 10,000 Challenge invite edit
Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 01:54, 20 October 2016 (UTC)
