I disagree. Firstly, the vast majority of your sources are from the university itself, which smells of promotion. Leave the notable alumni descriptions and list of publications for the university website. This is an encyclopedia.--TM 15:28, 9 October 2009 (UTC)
Why did you remove the bit about London City Airport. The UEL DOCKLANDS campus overlooks London City Airport. Go look at Google maps!. Hi Darigan, to nominate an attack page for speedy deletion, you add {{db-attack}}. I gather the 'db' stands for 'delete because'. There are similar templates for other situations, for example {{db-hoax}} and {{db-advert}}. Hope this helps. PhilKnight (talk) 15:28, 26 October 2009 (UTC)
- Also you can turn on 'friendly' and twinkle to automate deletion tasks. On the left side of the page click special pages --> My preferences --> Gadgets --> select the "twinkle" gadget. Thanks for your comment on my user talk page
I haven't yet decided how to handle it. My intent of it was to experiment with placing images over there. Once I put that flag up, I decided to keep it. That said, you have a point that it does block some of the links. I'll see what I can do.

- Hi, the message did seem to come out of the blue didn't it.
- I was checking the 'Recent Changes', partly out of curiosity and partly to check for vandalism, and there was something on a page about you and another user. Can't remember what page exactly, but i think it was an admin noticeboard. I clicked through to find more about it, and thats when i saw your user page

Andreas Papanastasiou
Hello Darigan. Thank you for the message about this article. The current concensus on notability for athletes is represented at WP:ATHLETE and indicates that youth internationals (except those competing in the Olympics) are not sufficiently notable to be able to skip the general notability guideline. In my experience, it is rare to find sufficient coverage in reliable sources for youth internationals except when the person is some type of prodigy (e.g., Freddy Adu when he was a youth international). However, I don't read Greek particularly well, so if you think you can find a good amount of coverage of Papaastasiou in the Cypriot media (or elsewhere), please add it to the article and I will be happy to remove the PROD. You can either do it yourself, or ask members of the appropriate WikiProject to change an article assessment. Each WikiProject may have specific guidelines on how an article should be assessed, or how to request an assessment, so it is suggested you look on the WikiProject's page first. South East Radio
I guess my main suggestion would be that we don't normally want radio station articles to contain long bulleted lists of radio personalities who aren't themselves notable and don't have any additional context — what's preferred is prose that actually describes a station's programming style. As a reader living in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, the staff list of a radio station in Ireland doesn't give me any valuable information about the station — since I don't already know who these people are, and the article doesn't contain any sourced information about them, just being given their names isn't useful to me.
Look, for example, at how CFNY-FM handles its on-air personalities — while there are still some sourcing problems with it, and people still tend to add inappropriate advert-speak, it actually tries to tell me something meaningful and detailed about the station and its programming. It doesn't just give me a meaningless list of names — it actually tries to tell me a bit about who these people are and what their shows sound like.
If it helps, look at it this way: this is a global encyclopedia. So your target audience for the article isn't just someone who lives in Wexford and already listens to the station a couple of times a week anyway — it's also people who live in Singapore or Toronto or Mombasa, and who don't have a clue in hell why we're supposed to care that people named Tony Kehoe and Seamus Coleman and Janice Coleman work there. Don't just list their names: tell us something about these people and their presenting styles. Don't just list the programs: tell us something about them. Tell us about their annual marshmallow-eating contest or their daily 5 p.m. Nick Drake song or the fact that Bono voiced a station identification for them last year, or whatever else they do that's unique or interesting or distinctive.
It's easy sometimes, if you're writing about a topic that you're personally familiar with, to forget that not everybody has the same background knowledge. Sometimes we need to step back for a minute, pretend to forget some of what we know and ask ourselves, "If I really didn't already know anything about the topic, would this version of the article actually help me feel like I was learning something useful and important about it?"

Linking to Search Results on Reference Desk
Hello Darigan, thanks for your contributions on the Reference Desk. I noticed that you recently answered by linking to google search results. In general, search queries are external links to be avoided - because the results are not deterministic, and change from minute to minute. Furthermore, on the Reference Desk in particular, we try to do better than Google or Bing - we are humans and have brains and we know of references. If our responses are simply "type the question into Google and post the link" - we aren't serving any useful function. Please consider whether your responses are a "value-add" to the search query: for example, you might perform the query and use your own expertise in the subject-matter to select the best response - and directly link to a useful resource. This strategy keeps our service at the reference desk at a higher quality than any automated search-engine algorithm can ever be. Nimur (talk) 16:40, 2 November 2010 (UTC)

Finers Stephens Innocent
Hi Darigan, I spotted your draft and your note to Spike Wilbury. SW doesn't appear to be active at the moment, but I'd be happy to help review it to make sure it is suitable before moving it to mainspace. Having a look, my main worry at the moment would be original research as it doesn't have any sources. I also noticed that it has been edited by an IP from FSI and along with your other edits, (such as UEL law dept) leads me to suspect you may have a conflict of interest. This shouldn't be an impedement to creating a neutral article, but you need to be extra careful to ensure that everything comes from sources and that the article is neutrally written. Googling "Finers Stephens Innocent" site:thelawyer.com" may help you find sources, but try to make sure they are about the firm, rather than just reporting on cases they've been involved in unless they are clearly important, as demonstrated by multiple references. (If you are working as an intern or something at FSI, can you let your colleagues know that information must be referenced, edits like this to Mark Stephens' biography can't stay per the BLP policy. I should also point out that you don't need to either confirm or deny that you have a COI.) Drop me a note if you want any more advice, hopefully we can get a good article written about FSI. - Hi SmartSE, I can confirm that I am not an intern at FSI, although, given the history of the article, I understand your concerns. I can also state that there is no COI, although, you can obviously look at my previous edits if you have any concerns. Having looked at the article, the edit by "109.158.137.69" listed as a "typo fix" was me (Didn't realise I wasn't signed in), but the other IP edits were not me (to be quite frank, I'm annoyed that IPs have edited my user-space draft without notifying me, or without providing edit summaries. In fact, looking at the edit histories, they appear to have added the sort of stuff that I assume the article was initially db-d for) - Having had my mini-rant, I am happy that you have taken the time to look at the draft, and I believe that I share many of your concerns. I do intend to add more third-party references before I consider moving it to main-space. If you haven't already, could I invite you to add the page to your watch-list? Thanks for having a look, I noticed that you also made a few edits to the Mark Stephens article, by-the-by, I've tried reverting the 80. IP edits to my article draft space, but I cannot at the moment (seemingly because I edited from my signed-out 109. IP address since those edits, is there some way I can do this automatically? (Obv. I can do it manually, but would like to know if an auto option is available)

- Hi SmartSE - Cheers, I loaded up the old version and saved it (I was about to go through it and try to do it manually). I can't account for why the IP picked up on the draft so quickly - Looking at the IP's history, the last edits s/he made (before the edits to the user-space draft I created) were in May. Anyways, I've had a look at a few law firm articles, and I think I'm ready to start expanding the FSI one further, I'll give you a nod when I think its ready to go to mainspace.
