Proposed deletion of Neda Shahsavari edit

The article Neda Shahsavari has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, all newly created biographies of living persons must have at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Speedy deletion nomination of Hotels & restaurants in Qasr-e Shirin edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Hotels & restaurants in Qasr-e Shirin requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. GouramiWatcher (Gulp) 21:50, 1 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

Replaceable fair use File:Taq e shirin and farhad.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Taq e shirin and farhad.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails the first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. J Milburn (talk) 14:07, 18 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

Taq-e Bostan edit

Hello! Before you go about to once again move Taq-e Bostan to Taq Wa San or any other name, I strongly suggest you find some reliable sources that support this, because from a check in GBooks, there is none, as opposed to hundreds of occurrences of Taq-e Bostan or other variants. If you persist in performing these unsourced moves despite being reverted by several users, it will be considered edit warring and vandalism and you will be blocked. File permission problem with File:Taq e Shirin and Farhad.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Taq e Shirin and Farhad.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Fut.Perf. 07:00, 5 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Please start using the WP:Edit summary edit

Greetings, looking at your contributions, it appears you've made a number of controversial edits without leaving any form of Edit Summary with your edit. Just below your editing window is a box saying "Edit summary" where you can type a short explanation of what/why you're changing. When someone looks at the "History" tab, or their Watchlist, those comments are visible. When you make a large change, or page move, without giving a clear explanation, that tends to make people curious, or even suspicious as to your intent. You can head off a lot of confusion or hurt feelings by simply clearly explaining why you decided Name X is more correct than Name Y, or why Picture B should be removed from the article, etc.

Please do yourself a favour, and make things easier on everyone else, by using a clear Edit Summary each time you edit. It's just a matter of seconds to type a short phrase, and it saves everyone involved a lot of effort. Hope this helps! MatthewVanitas (talk) 14:50, 20 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Hi Cattyy, Please stop moving the Kangal Dog article to Kurdish Dog. All international Kennel Clubs refer to it as a Kangal - see [1], [2], [3] and [4].
