I know I'm also the one who marked this for closure, but with seemingly no path forward for the nomination and issues remaining unaddressed, closing this per IAR.

  •   This is not intended to be a full review and I have no plans of giving this a full review, but a quick look at the article suggests that this is in need of a copyedit. In addition, the current hook probably does not meet WP:DYKINT as not being likely to be perceived as unusual or intriguing. A new hook will be needed here, in any case.   Given that the nominator deleted their talk page messages regarding their nomination and has not responded to BM's comment, it appears they are no longer interested in pursuing this nomination. Narutolovehinata5 (talk · contributions) 00:20, 24 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

@Narutolovehinata5: @BlueMoonset: @Z1720: Do I have to reword my hooks? Catfurball (talk) 19:36, 24 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Pings don't work if you add them after you sign. I can tell you that ALT0/1 is only interesting if you know what Timmy's Playroom/The Leapfrog Group are and being from a particular place isn't unusual or intriguing. (I should say that I haven't yet seen the article.)--Launchballer 19:46, 24 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

@Launchballer: AdventHealth Daytona Beach is the only hospital in Florida to win an A grade twenty-five consecutive times in row. And it is one of fifteen hospitals in the United States that have done this. Very rare for hospitals to win this many times in a row and most likely they will win another later this year. Catfurball (talk) 19:58, 24 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

You have to either a) ping and sign in the same edit or b) ping in the edit summary, which is what I did. Again, for that hook to be considered unusual, you need to know what The Leapfrog Group is. Following that link shows me that there are probably about twelve different patient safety organisations in the US.--Launchballer 20:12, 24 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

@Launchballer: Please look at this story https://www.news-journalonline.com/story/news/healthcare/2023/05/03/halifax-health-adventhealth-hospitals-receive-leapfrog-safety-ratings/70179701007/ Catfurball (talk) 21:17, 24 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Main page readers would not have access to that article before reading the hook.--Launchballer 21:36, 24 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

@Launchballer: It has been added behind the hook, so you get a two in one offer. Catfurball (talk) 22:07, 24 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

I will be frank: that hook fact sounds less like a hooky fact and more like an advertisement or otherwise being promotional. Narutolovehinata5 (talk · contributions) 23:42, 24 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Narutolovehinata5: It not against Wikipedia policy to talk about awards, in fact many good articles talk about awards including four hospital articles Wikipedia:WikiProject Hospitals. Catfurball (talk) 16:03, 30 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
In fact I believe that these hospital articles had award sections when they were approved to be good articles. Catfurball (talk) 17:01, 30 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
And it is part of Wikipedia:WikiProject Hospitals policy to have an award section in articles, even @Andrew nyr: would agree with me. Catfurball (talk) 17:08, 30 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
Even @Sammi Brie: and @HickoryOughtShirt?4: would agree with me, since they approved the hospitals for good articles. Catfurball (talk) 17:51, 30 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
I agree that there is nothing wrong with mentioning the awards in the article. This is going on the main page, on which the hook is the only thing we will be saying about them. To say nothing other than "they won an award from an outfit not even notable enough for an article" is promotional.--Launchballer 20:18, 1 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
The Leapfrog Group does have an article, but that doesn't change the fact that the hook is not just promotional but also doesn't really meet DYKINT. Narutolovehinata5 (talk · contributions) 23:03, 1 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
The Leapfrog Group has a redirect, but otherwise agreed.--Launchballer 23:12, 1 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
The issue isn't even necessarily the mentions of the awards in the article, it's the how. The awards can be presented in a neutral and informative tone, rather than being similar to a glorified press release. Narutolovehinata5 (talk · contributions) 00:38, 2 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
@Narutolovehinata5: Then you have my permission to rewrite the award section to make it neutral, then this will give me a good idea on how to write or rewrite award sections in the future. Catfurball (talk) 15:14, 2 October 2024 (UTC) I just rewrote the first award. Catfurball (talk) 23:03, 2 October 2024 (UTC)Reply

Coordinate error

edit

{{geodata-check}}

The following coordinate fixes are needed for AdventHealth Daytona Beach, the map will not show for this article.

Catfurball (talk) 21:04, 6 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

You haven't said what you think is wrong with the coordinates in the article, and they appear to have been basically correct (I've reduced the precision, which was too great). If you still think that there is an error, you'll need to supply a clear explanation of what it is. Deor (talk) 14:19, 7 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

@Deor: Actually nothing was wrong with the coordinates, but the map would not show after I added the coordinates. I do not know why that happened. I do know that Wikidata has two pages for this hospital, one under its current name AdventHealth Daytona Beach, and one under its former name Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center.
