Clyde Wells

Could you look over Clyde Wells's article, I noticed you assessed it a few years ago. I've been updating the importance of the Premiers of Newfoundland and Labrador to the WikiProject Political parties and politicians in Canada standards and noticed that his page has gone through a bit of work and wouldn't be considered a stub anymore. Newfoundlander&Labradorian (talk) 23:50, 14 February 2011 (UTC)

Definitely not a stub anymore, but needs more references and structure to be rated above a start. Right now there's a lot of uncited material and a lot of short paragraphs that do not flow well together. Canadian Paul 01:35, 15 February 2011 (UTC)
I'm not interested myself in updating at the moment but maybe it will be a future project for me. I noticed though you changed the importance to Mid but according to the WikiPooject Political parties and politicians in Canada it shows this:
  • High: Prime Ministers, Long-time premiers, and very important federal cabinet ministers
  • Mid: Other federal cabinet ministers, short-term premiers, federal party leaders, and very important provincial cabinet ministers
Clyde Wells would fall under High importance wouldn't he? Newfoundlander&Labradorian (talk) 02:40, 15 February 2011 (UTC)
I don't really think so... I don't really believe that many would put him at the same level of importance (historically) as any Prime Minister, nor do I know what the cutoff for "long-time" is, but I'm not really dead set on either importance rating, so you can change it back if you'd like. On the overall importance scale for WP:CANADA, however, it lists high as being appropriate for an article that "covers a topic that is vital to understanding specific topics about Canada or general topics about parts of Canada" and I don't really feel that Wells is in the same caliber of importance as the examples it gives. Again, however, I don't feel strongly either way. Canadian Paul 02:46, 15 February 2011 (UTC)
One contradicts the other. Do you review GA nominations? Newfoundlander&Labradorian (talk) 03:31, 15 February 2011 (UTC)
I can be persuaded on occasion. Canadian Paul 06:26, 16 February 2011 (UTC)
I have three up for GAN now that I'm waiting to get reviewed: St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, Danny Williams (politician) and Kathy Dunderdale. If you're interested in getting one started it would be great, Dunderdale's is fairly short. Newfoundlander&Labradorian (talk) 11:01, 16 February 2011 (UTC)
I'm a bit busy for the next few weeks, but I'll see what I can do. Canadian Paul 23:32, 16 February 2011 (UTC)

March 2011 GAN backlog elimination drive a week away

WikiProject Good Articles will be running a GAN backlog elimination drive for the entire month of March. The goal of this drive is to bring the number of outstanding Good Article nominations down to below 50. This will help editors in restoring confidence to the GAN process as well as actively improving, polishing, and rewarding good content. If you are interested in participating in the drive, please place your name here. Awards will be given out to those who review certain numbers of GANs as well as to those who review the most. On behalf of my co-coordinator Wizardman, we hope we can see you in March. MuZemike delivered by MuZebot 00:33, 22 February 2011 (UTC)

Well between this and the above post, I guess I'll have to squeeze a few reviews in! Canadian Paul 06:19, 22 February 2011 (UTC)

Russian IPs vandalizing

Hello. This is unrelated to the IP-hopping Indonesian misinformation vandal, but you should anyway check the following IPs, all of which are trying to put "anime" hoaxes and other misinformation and "connections" to the Philippine cartoon, Super Inggo at ang Super Tropa. I've also noted that users of these addresses (possibly a single person) have also put unsourced information and categories on other unrelated anime articles and several others. Here are the addresses I found so far (he may have used more):

To top this all off, these addresses are based in Russia. So obviously, the vandal surely couldn't provide sources for his edits as the said cartoon (if I'm not mistaken) has not been aired out of the Philippines. So can a block be imposed on either or both of the 92.100.128.0/17 and 91.122.80.0/20 ranges? It seems the addresses are assigned to the same provider. Thanks in advance. - 上村七美 (Nanami-chan) | talkback | contribs 16:18, 22 February 2011 (UTC)

It seems like right now the vandalism is somewhat sporadic, so I don't feel that a range block is merited just yet. I will keep my eye out on this issue, especially the most recently used IPs, and will take action if it appears that this is a continuing and frequent problem. Canadian Paul 05:31, 23 February 2011 (UTC)

Let's concentrate first on the 92.100.128.0/17 range because here's an additional list. I had just unearthed them today:

He also seems to be a mixed bag, however; he does some good faith edits (especially putting valid ANN links) on one end and does his vandalism on the other. - 上村七美 (Nanami-chan) | talkback | contribs 11:00, 23 February 2011 (UTC)

The valid edits make it that much more difficult to justify a range block. I think that this just might be one where we have to deal with the vandalism as it occurs or, at worst, semi-protect the article when the bad edits flare up. Canadian Paul 05:36, 24 February 2011 (UTC)

Here's an additional list, for your reference. Some of them were found after looking at TheFarix's edits and further digging deeper:

He's becoming a problem, despite the very minor valid edits, I should say. You can ask TheFarix as well. - 上村七美 (Nanami-chan) | talkback | contribs 14:34, 27 February 2011 (UTC)

PS: I've also forwarded the matter to WP:AN/I so that other admins can see. You can leave your comment there. - 上村七美 (Nanami-chan) | talkback | contribs 15:14, 27 February 2011 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Erna Lazarus

The article Erna Lazarus has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

This article has had no sources inserted since it was tagged in 2007. That's long enough. It should be rescued or deleted. If rescued, the filmography should be turned into a "Selected filmography" and cut down to six notable films, per guidelines

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. David in DC (talk) 17:00, 24 February 2011 (UTC)

Erna Lazarus

I've nominated this article for deletion, after the PROD notice was lifted. The article has been tagged for no having no sources on the article's page since 2007. WP:DEADLINE does not extend into infinity. The only source the editor who deleted the prior prod notice could find was evidently not sufficient to establish notability. assuming good faith, if it we're, the editor would have put it into the article, instead of onto the talk page. I agree. It's not enough to pass WP:GNG, let alone WP:BIO. I can find no better. If (A) the tag has been there since 2007 and (B) the editor who opposes Prod can find no source that establishes notability, and (C) I can find none either, WP:DUCK. David in DC (talk) 18:41, 24 February 2011 (UTC)

Judge Lynn Higby

Hi I thought you wanted to know that the Federal Judiciary Center came through with Judge Lynn Higby's death. I had sent an e-mail to them about this. This came at a good time, I was started to get burnt out which happens. I did make the change in the article. Many thanks-RFD (talk) 11:54, 26 February 2011 (UTC)

That certainly makes things a lot easier! Glad things finally worked out in the end! Canadian Paul 18:37, 1 March 2011 (UTC)

Myra Taylor

I've created a page for a Kansas City based Jazz singer also named Myra Taylor. She is now 94 and has had an 80 year career in music, including number 1 songs. At the moment, she is at Myra Taylor (Jazz singer) and would like to move her to Myra Taylor, and move Myra Taylor to Myra Taylor (screenwriter), if that is OK. This one has been challenged for notability since 2007. Please let me know if you have any objections. Thanks. K8 fan (talk) 19:02, 26 February 2011 (UTC)

Looks like this one got done before I even signed in again. Sorry that I couldn't have been more help. Canadian Paul 18:37, 1 March 2011 (UTC)

On the fair-use pictures, I spoke with Acroterion and Mjroots on this yesterday (Sunday) and they said that in leiu of information that shows the picture was taken by a US Army service member or was published somewhere before 1923, we have to use the tags on there on the safe side. - NeutralhomerTalkCoor. Thank you for your participation in the March 2011 GAN backlog elimination drive

On behalf of User:Wizardman and myself, we would like to take the time and thank you for your contributions made as part of the March 2011 Good articles backlog elimination drive. Awards and barnstars will go out shortly for those who have reviewed a certain number of articles.

During the backlog drive, in the month of March 2011,

  • 522 GA nominations were undertaken.
  • 423 GA nominations passed.
  • 72 GA nominations failed.
  • 27 GA nominations were on hold.

We started the GA backlog elimination drive with 378 GA nominations remaining, with 291 that were not reviewed at all. By 2:00, April 1, 2011, the backlog was at 171 GA nominations, with 100 that were left unreviewed.

At the start of the drive, the oldest unreviewed GA nomination was 101 days (Andrei Kirilenko (politician), at 20 November 2010, reviewed and passed 1 March 2011); at the end of the drive the oldest unreviewed GA nomination was 39 days (Gery Chico, at 24 February 2011, still yet to be reviewed as of this posting).

While we did not achieve the objective of getting the backlog of outstanding GA nominations down to below 50, we reduced the GA backlog by over half. The GA reviews also seemed to be of a higher quality and have consistently led, to say the least, to marginal improvements to those articles (although there were significant improvements to many, even on the some of the nominations that were failed).

If you would like to comment on the drive itself and maybe even make suggestions on how to improve the next one, please make a comment at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Good articles/GAN backlog elimination drives/March 2011#Feedback. Another GA backlog elimination drive is being planned for later this year, tentatively for September or October 2011. Also, if you have any comments or remarks on how to improve the Good article process in general, Wikipedia:WikiProject Good articles can always use some feedback at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Good articles.

Again, on behalf of User:Wizardman and myself, thank you for making the March 2011 GA backlog elimination drive a success.

0 for 4, sorry. Canadian Paul 04:56, 5 August 2011 (UTC)
Thanks for looking. On another note, I've found a DOD for Aylmer Liesemer. Connormah (talk) 02:44, 8 August 2011 (UTC)

Marty Zoborosky

Not sure how reliable this is, but this lists his date of birth as September 6, 1912. Connormah (talk) 04:01, 12 April 2011 (UTC)

I don't see any reason why it wouldn't be reliable. Thanks for the link! Canadian Paul 16:37, 12 April 2011 (UTC)

Talk:The Colour Out of Space/GA1

I've reviewed the article and left notes on the talk page. I've put the nomination on hold for seven days to allow the issues to be addressed. Feel free to contact me on my talk page, here, or on the article talk page with any concerns, and let me know one of those places when the issues have been addressed. If I may suggest that you strike out, check mark, or otherwise mark the items I've detailed, that will make it possible for me to see what's been addressed, and you can keep track of what's been done and what still needs to be worked on. Indiana Jones

The article cannot sustain four fair use images, especially when they all use the exact same rationale. The comparison image demonstrates a very trivial difference that is demonstrated by simply saying that the developers and companies involved were different between the two versions. Besides the copyright information, is there anything different about these images? Because there is no discussion of the difference between the title screen in any capacity. As for the bonus image, there is also no discussion of bonus areas in the article as far as I can see, and as such, demonstrates nothing and is merely decorative. - The New Age Retro Hippie used Ruler! Dates of death

User:Mewulwe is deleting more dates of death as "unsourced" - see [1] and [2]...any chance you can locate one, if we must, for the dates? Connormah (talk) 21:30, 22 April 2011 (UTC)

Found one for Pithey, no luck for Sein Win... you could try asking the article creator, since it was included in the original article, but they don't edit much anymore... Canadian Paul 02:06, 23 April 2011 (UTC)
Your edit to Pithey's article was just undone...does it state 1987 anywhere else? Connormah (talk) 16:49, 23 April 2011 (UTC)

Hi, any chance you could try to find some dates for H. Lee Prather? Couldn't find anything, but I tend to miss things, so I was wondering if you could. Connormah (talk) 00:25, 26 April 2011 (UTC)

Done! Canadian Paul 04:23, 26 April 2011 (UTC)
Thanks...I've added places of birth and death, along with a full birthdate for him as well - I just couldn't get his first name, probably why my searhes yielded nothing. Also, any chance you can do the same for Cyrus G. Wiley, this time only for a date of death? I've been trying to go though college/university presidents/chancellors and add dates - I've found a couple nonagenarians...I can get them to you once I'm close to done. Thanks! Connormah (talk) 05:57, 26 April 2011 (UTC)
Disregard...I've located a death certificate for him at [3]. Connormah (talk) 02:18, 27 April 2011 (UTC)
On another note, I've hit a brick wall on finding any dates for George Denman (American football) - any chance you can take a look? Thanks again Connormah (talk) 03:19, 27 April 2011 (UTC)
I couldn't find anything - since football wasn't as big back then, there's little (if any) information out there on most of the coaches of the era. Canadian Paul 04:20, 27 April 2011 (UTC)
Any chance of finding anything on Grady Higgenbotham as well? He coached in the 20s...there may be a bit more on him, but the "R." initial is getting me again... Connormah (talk) 04:40, 27 April 2011 (UTC)

William J. Murphy could possibly be another addition to the list, could you do a check for any obits for him? (the SSDI doesn't list him BTW) Connormah (talk) 03:13, 18 May 2011 (UTC)
Scratch that, think I've found something. Connormah (talk) 03:16, 18 May 2011 (UTC)
Got a YOD for Tangier and nothing on Donahey or Robertson. Donahey must have died in the 1960s, however, since he was alive in 1963 but deceased prior to 1970, according to contemporary articles on his wife. Canadian Paul 16:09, 19 May 2011 (UTC)
Thanks. Just located a the month and year for Donahey, I've added it. If you have time, could you also look for Asa W. Jones? Thanks. Connormah (talk) 01:27, 21 May 2011 (UTC)
Done! Canadian Paul 05:26, 21 May 2011 (UTC)
Any chance you can do a search for a DOB for Fleet Robert Current, Charles E. Johnson (FBI Most Wanted fugitive) and Donald Richard Bussmeyer? Connormah (talk) 00:51, 24 June 2011 (UTC)
Got Current through Alcatraz prison records, Johnson is too common of a name, and I couldn't find anything concrete on Bussmeyer. The news archive results on this page, however, are interesting. The Donald Richard Bussmeyer who died in 1995 was born in the same year as the one arrested in 1967, but it's not conclusive... Canadian Paul 05:22, 24 June 2011 (UTC)
Any chance of finding a year for Jeremiah Useni? Thanks. Connormah (talk) 00:48, 29 July 2011 (UTC)

Could you also try to find a date for Mohammed Inuwa Wushishi? Thanks. Connormah (talk) 01:03, 31 July 2011 (UTC)
The source in the article implies that he turned 70 on January 1, 2010 and was thus born on January 1, 1940, but I couldn't find anything definite, sorry. Canadian Paul 01:50, 1 August 2011 (UTC)
New one: Tom McHale (novelist born 1902) - SSDI lists nothing definite (no listing with Iowa state issued) - can you look?" Thanks. Connormah (talk) 21:13, 15 August 2011 (UTC)

Nice. Any chance you can search for Clarence Wetzel and William J. Moore as well? – Connormah (talk) 00:44, 17 December 2011 (UTC)
Got Wetzel. William Moore is too common of a name for me to find any useful results, sorry. Canadian Paul 18:04, 19 December 2011 (UTC)
I've come close with Moore a couple times...his DOB is probably out there. Keeping looking... – Connormah (talk) 03:44, 21 December 2011 (UTC)

Heidemarie Stefanyshyn-Piper

Greetings, I was wondering if I might interest you in working on the page of Heidemarie Stefanyshyn-Piper. She's a Ukrainian-American who was an astronaut with NASA and flew on two Space Shuttle missions. I found a bunch of links that can be used as citations and dropped them on the Talk Page. I added a few things to the article, but there is plenty of potential for expansion. The reason I am asking for help, is because I actually know Captain Heide and I don't feel entirely comfortable working on her page (she and I met at a Plast Camp in 1979). Maybe you can gather up some other Ukrainian editors who might be interested in getting her page up to better quality, since I see you are also on a Quality project. Thank you. Gamweb (talk) 01:30, 12 May 2011 (UTC)

I've got a lot on my plate right now, but I'll try and see what I can do. Canadian Paul 05:12, 12 May 2011 (UTC)
Thank you. I don't know if there is enough material to get the article up to GA, but that would be great if it could reach that point. Gamweb (talk) 12:03, 12 May 2011 (UTC)

DYK for Hugh Boustead

The DYK project (nominate) 00:04, 24 May 2011 (UTC)

As you've probably noticed I've been able to expand this a bit. I have access to other sources too, bu tI'm rather pressed for time, so I don't know if I'll be able to sue them myself, but I can forward them onto you if you drop me an email. These include pdf copies of his Royal navy records, and the:::: original recommendation for his DSO, as published by The National Archives (normally needs payment), and various articles from The Times. David Underdown (talk) 11:42, 24 May 2011 (UTC)
It looks great! I'm actually very busy myself for the next week and a half, but after that I'd greatly appreciate the sources! I'll send you and email once I have the time to actually work on the article! Thanks for the offer! Canadian Paul 16:16, 24 May 2011 (UTC)
Should be able to get something to you later today or tomorrow. David Underdown (talk) 13:47, 14 June 2011 (UTC)
Right, you hsould have a couple of emails from me with some fairly chunky attachments. David Underdown (talk) 21:17, 15 June 2011 (UTC)

Got them, and an extra special thanks for providing the citations! I've incorporated the first round of articles, although "1920-AUG14-005-F.pdf" was not attached... does it have something to add to make it worth sending? I'm going to work on the second email tomorrow (hopefully) and then get the article cleaned up... if there's enough information in the second round, we might be able to get Boustead to GA! Canadian Paul 05:26, 16 June 2011 (UTC)

Added the second round as well... tomorrow I'll go over it with a fresh set of eyes and clean it up a bit. Canadian Paul 16:53, 16 June 2011 (UTC)

Charles Simey

Hi there, the reference provided actually confirms his name is Charles Simey - any reason why you moved it to Cyril Simey? Regards, GiantSnowman 16:56, 25 May 2011 (UTC)

Oops. Sometimes SR redirect the old versions, sometimes it doesn't. Here's the new link: http://www.sports-reference.com/olympics/athletes/si/cyril-simey-1.html. If you search the site, you'll see that Charles Simey no longer comes up - it's an outdated link that hasn't been removed from their system. Canadian Paul 17:05, 25 May 2011 (UTC)
Aha, now confusing, thanks for the clarification! Regards, GiantSnowman 18:00, 25 May 2011 (UTC)

The case of the two Paul Dorians

Hi CP, I need your help with a subject I got involved in... An article was created by some editor named Rainman at the start of this month after a man named Paul Dorian from the US who is a CEO for some company. It showed some notability... namely Dorian being honored by a national magazine on an annual list on 40 people under the age of 40. Yet it just was not enough to keep as an article and was deleted based on wp:too soon by the consensus of two. Myself among others believed it made some good points but we didn't get involved in the discussion. After it was deleted I began checking into the subject and found allot of information on Paul Dorian as a well known Canadian doctor, I assumed it was related but it turned out not to be. According to the policies here I transferred the notable parts of the deleted articles to relevant subject pages and created a new article on the Canadian Doctor Paul Dorian. I used the older article version as a template design to create the new article, yet this led several of the people who deleted the old article to think it was some kind of re-posting of the old article. One particular editor User:Mtking seems to have been involved in this subject since the creation of the other Paul Dorian article. He attempted to get the article on the doctor Paul Dorian speedy deleted, after it was rejected by two separate administrators, he tried to get me and the other creator of the previous article blocked as some kind of puppets and incited his others to help it get done, but was ultimately disproved. I'm asking that you please give User:Mtking as serious warning about his lack of good faith actions, and take a look at the current discussion on Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Paul Dorian before they delete this obviously notable article through meat puppet consensus based their personal bias toward its creator. One editor even states that this subject is notable but still wanted it deleted just because of the way it was created. I'm only one person and I need help against people who don't seem to be following any of the policies that I read.NanaRobins (talk) 18:49, 29 May 2011 (UTC)

Only Girl (In the World)

Hi, I saw you reviewed someone's nomination of Only Girl (In the World) for GA back in mid March and it failed, so I am making the changes you wrote about in your review. I have addressed most of them, but was wondering if you could give a brief overview of things that still need to be done. I expect refs will be one of them, the MoS of the Chart performance section and the Background Section (which is non-existent, primarily because there is no info about the writing sessions, inspiration or conceptualisation of the song, I've searched). Thanks. Calvin 999 16:15, 18 June 2011 (UTC)

Hi, I don't really have time to do a re-review for at least a week, but if you feel that you have addressed all of my points that you can, my best suggestion would be to re-submit it for another GA review (as you have already done). It does take quite some time for GA articles to be reviewed and, from a quick scan, it's likely to be put on hold when it does get re-reviewed rather than failed. If I get some time next week, however, I will take a look over it and see what I can suggest. Leave another note on my page next Sunday just in case I forget. Canadian Paul 04:56, 20 June 2011 (UTC)
Okay thanks. Calvin 999 15:58, 20 June 2011 (UTC)

hey, I nominated for a second time, but it failed, and the review was so extremely brief, which I wasn't pleased with. So I listed for a Peer Review, and the person told me to just look at other GA Rihanna articles, so neither of them have actually gone through the article and reported back. Calvin 999 16:40, 28 June 2011 (UTC)

Well, I would wait to see if the Peer Review says anything more but, although brief, the other reviewer's comments are valid and need to be addressed. The biggest issue is the background section: without some information for this, the article is probably never going to pass GA. It's not really worth anyone's time to go through nitpicky details when something that large is absent... I just don't believe that a song written by a major artist in 2010 has absolutely nothing about its background. I do think, however, that the review was good in identifying some important issues, but not so much in helping you raise the article to GA status, which is an important criteria of a GA review. I would suggest working on getting that background section done and then I will try and find some time to be more specific on what can be done to improve the article. It seems, that you can find out death dates? I would need some: de:Violet Baddeley, de:Freda Barrett, de:Mary K. Bateman, de:Frank Chesterton, de:F. S. Hi, I'm pretty busy right now and am finding it difficult to take a break from life and sit down to work on Wikipedia. When I have a little more free time I will try and come back to this and see what I can find... without the first names, however, the task is often very difficult. Death of Geraint Bowen (poet)

Hi, I am Geraint Bowen's son and I can assure you that he died on July 16th 2011. Apgeraint (talk) 09:59, 17 July 2011 (UTC)

Hi, I'm sorry to hear of the loss of your father but, per Wikipedia's policies on the biographies of living people, you need to either way until there is an obituary published in a reliable source or provide proof that he is deceased and e-mail to Wikipedia:OTRS. If you need any help with this, please let me know. The only reason that this is such a big deal is that we take our policies on living people very seriously. If there were untrue material on your father, we know you'd want it removed immediately. For the same reason, we must make absolutely certain that anything printed in that biography is true and verifiable, because we know that these biographies can have real and potentially serious effects on actual individuals. Hello, I just wanted to introduce myself and let you know I am glad to be reviewing the article Hugh Boustead you nominated for GA-status according to the criteria.   This process may take up to 7 days. Good Article promotion

  Congratulations!
Thanks for all the work you did in making Hugh Boustead a certified "Good Article"! Your work is much appreciated.

Thanks also for your reviews. Featured article candidates and Good Article nominees always need more reviewers! All the best, – Quadell (talk) 14:49, 31 August 2011 (UTC)

Oldest living Olympian update(?)

Hi Paul,

Not sure if you've seen this already. Hopefully the IOC will publish the results of this: "The International Olympic Committee this week launched an inquiry to find out if there’s an older Olympian anywhere else in the world." Cheers, DerbyCountyinNZ (Talk Contribs) 20:59, 14 September 2011 (UTC)

I did see that! I was just wondering the other day when they were going to publish the results... but it may be a long process. I know that finding out about the oldest living gold medalist took them quite some time... Canadian Paul 05:23, 15 September 2011 (UTC)

Question

Hello, sorry to disturb with a question as this is not something wich has to see with the wiki.en. And very sorry about my english too. I'm sysop on a little wiki and faced with an user who ist cutting article's text to put them on another page just to avoid other noticing his dids and to write them as he wants, destroying like that he page history. I was wondering wich would be done on a big wiki, knowing he is not at his first wrongdoing. --Kadwalan (talk) 16:29, 17 September 2011 (UTC)

DODs Needed

If you have the time, (I've looked for ages for these) could you give these articles (Isaac Seneca, Art Ranney, Gustave May, George Denman (American football) a stab at DODs? I've got some pre-existing info on May (I've done research) and he probably died ca. 1942-1960 in New Jersey, either Ocean or Bergen County - he was also known as Gus May I believe. Thanks! – Connormah (talk) 17:32, 22 October 2011 (UTC)

I did some searching for all of them, but it looks like you've covered all your bases and I don't have anything new to add, except that Seneca was still alive in 1930, but now living in New York: [4]. Sorry. Canadian Paul 00:26, 23 October 2011 (UTC)

Carlos Padilla, Sr.

IMDB lists 2 films he acted in around 35 years after his death! DerbyCountyinNZ (Talk Contribs) 18:17, 17 November 2011 (UTC)

Less likely: He had parts in films that were released posthumously or were otherwise "lost" until those dates. Or he had footage that was used in those movies and, without a DOD, IMDB assumed he was in them rather than in stock footage. More likely: IMDB is wrong, which could be true for any number of reasons, including mixing up two different actors or even someone deliberately inserting the mistake. In either case, the 1962 death year seems to come from a family member, so I'm more inclined to trust that over IMDB. Canadian Paul 22:36, 18 November 2011 (UTC)
I'd go with IMDB being wrong too! Cheers, DerbyCountyinNZ (Talk Contribs) 23:55, 18 November 2011 (UTC)

Developers.

Here:

In fact, most of the time, the developers info are wrong here on Wikipedia, because the contributors use GameFAQs as the primary source, which is not a good idea at all. --Hydao (talk) 06:04, 13 December 2011 (UTC)
