Hello, my name is George. I became a Wikipedian on July 11, 2008. Since joining, I have contributed a total of over 27,000 edits, 1 Featured List, 3 Featured Articles, and 157 Good Articles. A complete list of these articles is available below. I most actively contribute to the WikiProject Tropical cyclones. Additionally, I've made contributions in many other projects, but have only produced one Good Article outside of the WikiProject Tropical Cyclones. Every year since 2011 (except 2018), I've participated in the WikiCup and made it to the final round in 2014 and 2016.
In real life, I am 24 years old and reside in Palm Springs, Florida. My interests include meteorology, astronomy, history, government, politics, and geography. I am a student at Florida Atlantic University, majoring in Social Science Education. As for geography, I advanced to the state level of the National Geographic Bee in 2009, the final year I was eligible to participate. I also enjoy camping, hiking, and traveling. I have been very active in the Boy Scouts of America since 2006, the year that I joined. Over the years, I accumulated over 200 nights in the outdoors, earned Eagle Scout in January 2012, and 4 Eagle Palms before my 18th birthday. Additionally, I was inducted into Order of the Arrow in 2008, the national honor society of the Boy Scouts of America, and I was nominated for and received Vigil Honor in January 2012.
