Hi Angus! Would you mind re-reviewing the Qustodio (software) post. I removed the annoying bolding and tried to make it way more boring! Appreciate it. Thanks! Jallerso
Jallerso (talk) 09:54, 5 July 2021 (UTC)
- Jallerso, I noticed you also started one about the company. Can these two be combined for now into Draft:Qustodio? The software seems to be its flagship product and I don't see enough of it to be separate from the company. AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 16:54, 5 July 2021 (UTC)
Hi Angus, thanks for the feedback. I was following Slack's model of one site for software and one for the company, but I think you are right. It is overkill for us. Will combine and try again.
Jallerso (talk) 14:49, 7 July 2021 (UTC)
AngusWOOF I took your advice and have combined them. Would you mind giving the new combined page a review? Draft:Qustodio
Meanwhile I will delete the old software and company posts. Thanks again! Jallerso (talk) 15:40, 7 July 2021 (UTC)
Kazoo magazine
Hi AngusWOOF, I added the secondary source information about Kazoo magazine to the other Kazoo magazine page that was previously created by someone else. I do have a disclosed conflict of interest. Still objectively (if that is possible) I believe that this magazine that has been featured in national print and radio, including Vogue (https://www.vogue.com/article/kazoo-magazine-erin-bried-editor-interview), The New York Times (https://www.nytimes.com/guides/gifts/2020-holiday-gift-guide/category/kids), NPR radio (https://www.nhpr.org/post/bikinis-burkinis-acting-sick-kazoo-magazine#stream/0), Crains Business (https://www.crainsnewyork.com/article/20170217/SMALLBIZ/170219889/meet-the-publishing-veteran-who-crowdfunded-a-magazine-just-for-girls-on-science-sports-and-writing-instead-of-pr), Folio magazine https://www.foliomag.com/kazoo-magazine-girls-think-bigger/), among others, and has also been three-time finalist by ASME (The American Society of Magazine Editors) for an Ellie award, which is the highest magazine industry award, for the best magazine of the year, winning the National Magazine Award once, is deserving of its own page. :) Kazoo doesn't have a publicist so I'm not that person but I'm trying to do this correctly. Thanks for your guidance on getting my submission of the Natashia Deon page sorted. I "think" I edited it correctly. In addition to removing embedded external links and making them Wikipedia links I also found a couple more sources and removed all of the links that linked to her website or writing. And removed anything I didn't have a citation for. Hope I got it all right. Fingers crossed.
Draft:Thoughts of the Day
I have read WP:NOTBOOK and found the following criteria: The book has been the subject of two or more non-trivial published works appearing in sources that are independent of the book itself. This can include published works in all forms, such as newspaper articles , other books, television documentaries, bestseller lists, and reviews. This excludes media re-prints of press releases, flap copy, or other publications where the author, its publisher, agent, or other self-interested parties advertise or speak about the book.
Then why asking specifically for book reviews? I am not geeting Kartik0976 (talk) 02:28, 16 July 2021 (UTC)
- Kartik0976, book reviews from well-known critics are the least promotional of the articles since it critiques the work. But if you can provide more of the external newspaper articles that aren't press releases or connected to the party, then that can help. Listing it in a best-seller list would be a passing mention. The articles Draft:List of accolades received by The Fault in Our Stars and Draft:List of awards and nominations received by Thuppakki needed for split request. But I am not familar with the process to split articles.122.174.27.68 (talk) 06:02, 22 July 2021 (UTC)

Yassin Hall Article
Good Day, I hope you are doing amazing.
I have read your comment on the article for Yassin Hall. Declining an article is understandable on certain grounds. I politely would like to ask to please elaborate on what grounds this article is being denied. If something "seems" to be a certain way, it is an assumption otherwise it would "be" a certain way as a fact. No Wikipedia rules and regulations state that the journalists who wrote those articles are not free to write about someone/something as they please. Liable news media outlets have been listed to support the the drafted article. This Wikipedia article has not used any adjectives that are evaluating neither the individual nor the individual's work.
I appreciate you. Didi

This page is based on a national party in Nepal. I have created it and included sufficient reference. Please help reviewing and publishing it than disapproving. Hence, please help me review and publish it.103.10.28.182 (talk) 18:11, 26 July 2021 (UTC)

Revision of the Draft Article about Aziz Tazi
Hi AngusWOOF, thank you for your comment on my draft article. I did remove any section of the article that could sound subjective. The draft article should now only contain facts, verifiable by reputable references. Please check the changes below and if you have any other questions, let me know. Best, Nick
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Aziz_Tazi
— Preceding unsigned comment added by Nickazzemani (talk • contribs) 22:34, 5 August 2021 (UTC)
- Nick, there are still a number of statements that make the draft promotional. The draft had bolded "first Moroccan-born film director in history" multiple times. It uses name drops or other credit drops to refer to other actors and producers. You don't need to add "award-winning" to describe those folks, just a simple occupation like "producer Piers Morgan". Other statements seem like resume stuffers, how they contribute towards his career. Those need to be objectively rewritten and sourced by external news sources. Press and Accolades should be renamed to Accolades and only have notable awards. He doesn't need statements like: (newspaper) wrote an article about him on (date). If you mention schools or jobs attended, add the year, like "he attended UC Berkeley where he (did these projects). He graduated in (year) with a (type of degree and major)." AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 14:54, 11 August 2021 (UTC)
- Nick, are there other notable works he has done besides Night Walk? It might end up being a redirect there. AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 15:00, 11 August 2021 (UTC)
Hi AngusWOOF,
Thank you for your reply. I don't know if you saw the most recent draft but it seems like many of the issues you talk about have already been taken care of.
I need to clarify: the page never said "first Moroccan-born film director in history". It said, "first Moroccan-born director to get Hollywood distribution". Moroccan filmmakers usually get their work released in Morocco or at best, in the French-speaking world but Aziz Tazi was the first ever to get distribution through a major studio like Lionsgate. I am not the one that claims it. Sources are available here [1], [2] and [3].
Regarding your comments on the use of "award-winning" and "press", I just edited the draft as you requested. The name drops are not just promotional - it was to show the person's legitimacy. A film director is judged by the notoriety of the actors that work with him. If someone who is highly distinguished such as Mickey Rourke worked with him (and also praised him [4]), isn't it worth noting? Regardless, I removed the mention about Variety and HuffPost writing about him. I followed your instructions about the education part as well. Please check but I really made sure that every statement in the article is accompanied by external verifiable sources. A few are offline but that's because they were in print media. I can submit scans of those articles but I was told I shouldn't because of copyright issues. I hope the reviewers can find these print articles on their own.
As for other notable work, the documentary series "Arab Stories" was aired on national television, the film Imago opened an international film festival, and his music videos have millions of views on Youtube. He was in Forbes Africa's 30 Under 30 - that means that he was one of 30, out of the more than a billion people who live in the entire continent of Africa, to be selected by a reputable news source such as Forbes to be on this list. Doesn't all of that warrant a page? I know you guys don't like to make the comparison but I can link to Wikipedia pages of people with half his achievements. In fact, I have seen pages of two people who literally worked under Aziz Tazi on two projects. I understand the need to ensure notability but I hope the changes I made and links I added, helps prove that this person does indeed deserve a page.

- Nick, regarding the first Moroccan director, the point was it was bolded multiple times. That looks like that has been corrected. Again, with regards to name drops, you don't need to buffer up the other people's credentials, just use "actor Mickey Rourke" or "producer Piers Morgan" with links to their wikipedia pages. You don't need to say they were award-winning. Regarding print media, if you can link them to online articles that would be helpful but it isn't necessary, and you can just cite the newspaper/magazine. Arab Stories you can list which national TV channel it was aired on and back it up with the news source.
- As for 30 under 30, just because someone makes that list does not guarantee any notability. See Wikipedia_talk:Notability_(people)/Archive_2020#Notability_for_being_in_certain_lists AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 18:40, 11 August 2021 (UTC)
- Nick, the Accolades section should not be for appearances on television or magazines. Those cover stories and news segments can be added to his career section if appropriate, such as "In (year), Tazi appeared on the cover of (notable magazine)". Sam Rosenthal (designer) article
Hey AngusWOOF,
Happy Tuesday! Thanks for your feedback on the Sam Rosenthal article. I read through some more Wiki guides, particular the Notability one, to better understand what needs to be improved. Went ahead and added some modifications, particularly to help meet the guidelines listed under the "Additional Criteria", which seems to be part of what was missing. In particular, I added an additional accolade + citation to address the bullet of awards/nominations for the criteria under "Any Biography". In this case, I believe the subject would also fall under the "Creative Professional" bucket; the reason I've left some of the prior secondary news references in is because (from my understanding) they help support line items 3 (created or played a major role in co-creating a significant or well-known work or collective body of work) and 4 (won significant critical attention).
Let me know if this interpretation is correct or if there's additional work I can do to improve this further. Thanks again! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Candlesonfire (talk • contribs) 16:53, 10 August 2021 (UTC)
- Candlesonfire, you need more external news articles that cover his individual career, otherwise it's likely to redirect to his most notable works such as Blaseball. I would get rid of LinkedIn and other direct resume/profile/website links. AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 14:45, 11 August 2021 (UTC)

Rejection of article on Louisa Gann
Hi. You this week rejected my draft article on Louisa Gann, and I would appreciate it if you could expand your reasons. I can understand that you might think her of minor interest, although I feel her achievements compare well with those of some other subjects of articles on Wikipedia, and will delete the article on these grounds if you say so. Before doing so, though I wonder if you could advise me, for the sake of future articles I might write (a) what is wrong with my writing style, that "it sounds like it was copied from a book"? (This articles is all in my own original words.) and (b) what is wrong with published PhD theses as sources? (surely, since these dissertations have been reviewed by knowledgeable academics before publication, they are suitable for citation? Your advice would be appreciated, as I have a few more draft articles I am preparing to submit. Regards, JMHhistorian (talk) 12:13, 12 August 2021 (UTC)JMHHistorian
- JMHhistorian, it's a decline, not a reject (which would be like don't bother), so you can resubmit it, and any AFC reviewer (doesn't have to be me) can take a look at it. My concern was mainly that it seemed like it was written for another publication or website and that it was then copied over to Wikipedia. See WP:OR The research was quite detailed and loosely cites just one reference at the end of each paragraph, with some paragraphs not referencing anything at all. If you look at most of the bios here, it seems like every statement made has some sort of citation right afterwards. If the entire paragraph was referenced to material from that citation then that's okay. As for theses, see WP:SCHOLARSHIP, it depends on how well peer-reviewed and cited the papers are, and not just the local professor from the school. If the citations are from books or more widely-published journals, that would be preferable. At least 2-3 reliable sources that meet WP:GNG would be enough to get it into mainspace. Hope that helps. Thank you. Anu380 (talk) 10:22, 15 August 2021 (UTC)
- Anu380, first of all, if it's a product from a company you're associated with, then you have a conflict of interest and need to disclose that. Second, it needs to be written without referring to the website, press releases, or corporate literature. Third, it needs to be written neutrally, highlighting both good and bad aspects. Fourth, it should be notable on its own outside of the company, otherwise it should redirect to the company's Wikipedia page as a product. AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 00:27, 16 August 2021 (UTC)

Hey can you please help me with the article you declined for Champ Da General. I put more references on the edit tab. Thanks for any feedback. DemoGirls (talk) 00:41, 16 August 2021 (UTC)
- DemoGirls, the concern is that a lot of the draft article was copy-pasted or paraphrased from other sources. This needs to be completely rewritten. You also need sources that cover Champ's career that are independent of the label or promotions. See WP:MUSICBIO and indicate what criteria he meets. Does he have music that has charted on Billboard, OCC, or other reputable charts? AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 23:13, 18 August 2021 (UTC)
I would appreciate any feedback on this. I think it's ready for the mainspace but at the same I also have some doubts. Btspurplegalaxy (talk) 00:11, 18 August 2021 (UTC)
- Btspurplegalaxy, how does Jang meet WP:ENT? What are the major lead roles in major productions? Also if there are WP:THREE sources that are considered GNG, with detailed coverage of Jang, then we can list those for review and determine whether that's enough for GNG. Paco Pulido Millonarios
Hello Angus. Thanks for taking the time to review my submission. On the two comments that you mentioned, I wanted to ask your opinion on how to ensure that the information of Mr. Pulido shows when you visit the club´s wikipedia article. (Apparently the information is in fact listed in https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Millonarios_F%C3%BAtbol_Club and https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anexo:Presidentes_de_Millonarios_F%C3%BAtbol_Club, although I notice thses are listed only in spanish. Do you think I should link or make a citation relating to these specific articles? As for the references, I will fix them once I learn how to update since I´m not very savy using the code editing platform. Thanks and look forward to your reply. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 181.61.208.191 (talk • contribs) 20:51, 12 August 2021 (UTC)
- 181.61.208.191, usually there's a Current staff / front office section. But given that he is a former staffer, that will probably be better to write in unless you can do it in their history. For citations, do not cite ES wikipedia, but if there are news articles that ES wikipedia references that contain the information you need, you can cite that instead. AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 23:03, 12 August 2021 (UTC)
- 181.61.208.191, I do see a List of Barcelona Sporting Club presidents if you are looking for similar ones, but they usually do not expand to individual articles unless they are separately notable. AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 23:05, 12 August 2021 (UTC)
Angus, thanks for taking the time to respond. Will revise and resubmit once it´s ok. Cheers! BTW, I did find a list of Millonarios FC presidents but only in ES, maybe I´ll have to cite that since there´s no other. Thanks! And thank you for the help with the references!
Hi Angus, I have updated the information according to your suggestions/indications and have linked, as I commented, the articles containing the information. Could you please take one more look at the article which I have already resubmitted? I´d really appreciate any feedback you may consider. Thanks!
- 181.61.208.191, why are you citing ES wikipedia? Those need to be replaced. You can use references that ES wikipedia provides to back up some of your statements but not ES Wikipedia itself. AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 20:56, 20 August 2021 (UTC)
Draft: Aditya Tiwari
Hi,
I created this page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Aditya_Tiwari with more references. The earlier version of this page was deleted not because it was not notable, but because it contained similar information to a previously deleted page that was poorly cited.
I request you to kindly look into it with more sensitivity and revive the page.
This writer, author, and activist has brought about significant change in the queer space in a country like India, where “queer rights” are a lot more necessary and required. Hi,
I'm confused as to why my article is being nominated for deletion under the justification that "there is already a section in the main article for that". In a similar case, there is a section for "Stings" in the main "Bee" article, but another article specifically for "Bee Stings". The same basic principle is there, but my article is being argued for deletion.
The other reason for deletion is arguing the subject does not have enough content to be its own article, despite there being a Bee Sting page, and an entire page called "Insect Bites and Stings".
Both links: Bee Sting, Insect bites and stings

Eye ay en (talk) 19:33, 29 August 2021 (UTC)
- Eye ay en, it's been declined by myself, but it does not appear to be nominated for deletion. My suggestion was to talk about it at Mosquito on whether that section can be split off. AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 22:25, 29 August 2021 (UTC)
AngusWOOF Yes, declined, that's my mistake. But there are individual articles for bee sting even though there is a section for "Stings" in the main article. Why is my submission declined while the other article isn't? I don't understand why I'd talk about it at Mosquito when you declined it, and when the section for "stings" in Bee sting is still there. Also, the talk page for mosquito is reserved solely for improvement to the mosquito article. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Mosquito)
Eye ay en (talk) 23:21, 29 August 2021 (UTC)
- Eye ay en, but you are requesting that the bite section have its own article, that's a major update on the Mosquito article. AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 23:37, 29 August 2021 (UTC)
What? The page for bee and bee stings both exist. I checked both the "Bee" talk page & archives and there was no asking to make a bee sting article. Why should I have to ask if they didn't?
Eye ay en (talk) 01:36, 30 August 2021 (UTC)
- Eye ay en, it's been on the Mosquito page for a while, and involves moving material off the main page to go there. AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 16:20, 31 August 2021 (UTC)
Md. Shahjahan Shamim
Thanks sir for your reply, sir i removed this three references, can you please help me which reference is suitable for this page Himanshu7777 (talk) 20:06, 25 August 2021 (UTC)
- Himanshu7777, please read the comments on the draft. There are multiple people using the same name Shahjahan Shamim. Only the researcher is using Md. in front of it. The filmmaker is probably the most notable for having a website and films. The YouTuber musician / entrepreneur doesn't have external news coverage, only his own websites and press releases. The researcher has no notability. The authors and other folks are unknowns. AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 21:53, 25 August 2021 (UTC)

- Himanshu7777, entries in music databases / websites are considered primary sources, which won't help establish notability. Google searches are not reliable sources. AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 21:52, 27 August 2021 (UTC)
Hello sir, I have resubmitted the article again with references. please sir check this page again. as a proof for major record label please check apple music links buttom of the page it's shown record label name, I think from this screenshot you can easily check https://i.ibb.co/PMCNsNc/Apple-Shamim.jpg Himanshu7777 (talk) 17:18, 3 September 2021 (UTC)
- Himanshu7777, over half of your references are to the subject's own media or press releases. These need to be removed. Also there isn't any desecription of the singles or albums he released that have become popular or notable in the industry. Are there any that have been bona fide hits, charted, or been tied into major media such as television shows or films? AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 13:26, 4 September 2021 (UTC)
Thanks sir your reply. I read carefully Criteria for musicians and ensembles in Wikipedia. There are few points and they stated like this Musicians or ensembles (this category includes bands, singers, rappers, orchestras, DJs, musical theatre groups, instrumentalists, etc.) may be notable if they meet at least one of the following criteria. And I think he passed this point: released songs on major record label. Yes his music played on BBC music radio; he got an email from BBC radio. And his one music covered in one television program and telecast on Bangladesh national television.Himanshu7777 (talk) 15:10, 4 September 2021 (UTC)
- Himanshu7777, are you associated with this particular artist. How do you know he got an email from BBC radio? If you are, you need to declare WP:COI. If you want to show that his music played on BBC Radio, you should cite their website's playlist. Same with the Bangaldesh television program. AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 15:13, 4 September 2021 (UTC)
sorry sir typing mistake i got, and i will research about television and radio references, what's about song released on major record label? Himanshu7777 (talk) 15:48, 4 September 2021 (UTC)

Help with details
Hello,
Thanks for the notes on the submission. Would it be possible to help sort out what sort of sources wikipedia needs? This is my first actual addition that was not to a previously published article, so I am not sure what is needed.
It is a magazine I purchase and find all the time in the shops here, so it seems it should have a page, and tried to add the info other sites and magazines have, so I welcome your input, especially since you seem to know a lot about how articles and additions should be structured.
Thanks again, and appreciate all the advice. I am excited to add more to wikipedia going forward! Zune4ever (talk) 12:53, 4 September 2021 (UTC)
- Zune4ever, it needs significant coverage by other external sources. If another well-known website or media presence reviews the magazine in detail that would be helpful. If it's some local magazine, it needs some national coverage. You can see the essay on notability for periodicals here: Wikipedia:Notability (periodicals) AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 13:18, 4 September 2021 (UTC)
I understand that, that is why I included the details about the E3 judging and Gamescom since it demonstrates international details about the magazine. I included many of the things I saw on other magazines such as PcgamesN (also a site I love), Polygon etc. But since this is my first submission I want to ensure I do things right, so any guidance on what those magazine articles have that I am missing. Would rather do it right, then be lazy and miss important information. Thanks for all the help. Zune4ever (talk) 13:25, 4 September 2021 (UTC)
- Zune4ever, if it's video game related then please check WP:VG/RS and cite sources that are considered reliable in there. Polygon, PCGamesN are good if they have detailed articles about the magazine. AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 17:28, 7 September 2021 (UTC)
- Zune4ever, I would remove the detailed 1-10 scale regarding ratings. That's excessive detail. It's not like it is creating a well-known rating system like Michelin rating AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 17:29, 7 September 2021 (UTC)
Identity theft or deception of true Identity
I have deleted my article sections on Larry Nash yet this person who goes by the name of J Larry Nash is using my Wikipedia Profile to lead my intended traffic to his attention. https://en.everybodywiki.com/Larry_Nash. I believe actors connected to Discogs.com and Amazon are leading this campaign of deception. My Wikipedia article is not present here but it still appears on the link above, how do you combat this type of situation? Larryvnash (talk) 13:36, 4 September 2021 (UTC)
- Larryvnash, Wikipedia doesn't have control over websites that copy-paste any information posted on Wikipedia. So I would suggest bothering the folks at everybodywiki. If you want, you can request that your draft here be speedy deleted since that one has a history with your adding a bunch of information and deleting it later. If someone else is using your name you might want to read through Wikipedia:Username policy / WP:REALNAME especially if someone hacked your account. AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 13:47, 4 September 2021 (UTC)
I am attempting to completely delete my Wikipedia account but Wikipedia is reporting to me that the page that contains an artist template has not been deleted although it is not visible. How do I get to potions that are hidden? My goal is to completely remove myself from Wikipedia. Larryvnash (talk) 13:57, 4 September 2021 (UTC)
- Larryvnash, the Draft:Larry Nash still exists. Did you want that deleted? AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 14:14, 4 September 2021 (UTC)
- Larryvnash, it looks like it's been deleted. AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 17:25, 7 September 2021 (UTC)
User:John James JJ
Hello AngusWOOF thanks for reviewing my article which I created for John-James JJ on the 2nd September. I think he is a noteworthy person to have a wiki article. He is not a judge on Strictly Come Dancing but is consistently asked by the BBC to review the professional dancers on a talk radio show which airs on a regularly basis once Strictly Come Dancing is on. He has also had a beer named after him. Can you advise me what I need to do to get the article accepted please? Thanks 94.173.188.137 (talk) 11:15, 7 September 2021 (UTC)
- 94.173.188.137, I suggest finding more national or international coverage of James in notable newspapers, magazines, websites. Right now he seems to have mostly local coverage, so it is not clear he stands out from a WP:MILL perspective. AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 17:24, 7 September 2021 (UTC)
Deborah Santana article
Hi AngusWOOF, Thank you for reviewing my article on Deborah Santana and for alerting me to the problems with using IMDb as a source (I was not aware and I am grateful to you for letting me know!). I have removed all the IMDb sources and found some new ones from more credible sources instead, as well as made some changes to the wording. Can you please take a look and let me know if I am on the right track, or if I should make further changes? Thanks so much, --Moviecat (talk) 05:19, 10 September 2021 (UTC)
- Moviecat, there's a greater issue regarding the main article having copyrighted material that was closely paraphrased or copy-pasted into the draft. Please see Draft:Deborah Santana and make corrections on that one. AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 14:13, 10 September 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks, AngusWOOF! I have removed all the copyrighted material and it looks like another kind user has done the HistMerge for me as well. Hopefully it is ok to try resubmitting the Draft now (fingers crossed). Thanks for your help! --Moviecat (talk) 15:43, 10 September 2021 (UTC)

rejected dezerv. page
Request you to illaborate the reason for rejection of the page so that I can make necessary changes. The reference part is all from media articles which is unrelated. I do not understand the problem there. Would make neutral point of view for sure.
— Preceding unsigned comment added by Melophile1711 (talk • contribs) 05:28, 4 September 2021 (UTC)
- Melophile1711, the draft was declined, not rejected, so you can resubmit when you've fixed it up. It reads like promotional advertising / mission statement / corporate website verbiage. For example: "offer a fresh approach and a platform to provide underserved Indian professionals with access to investment expertise". This should be in quotes if it was taken from there. The references also need to provide significant coverage on the company yet be external to the company. I mostly see articles that reference the same news announcement about it receiving 7 million in a funding round. Please read WP:ORGCRIT Also there needs to be a reason why this company is not one of the millions of run-of-the-mill WP:MILL businesses that are out there. AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 13:12, 4 September 2021 (UTC)
- Melophile1711, please also note that if you are associated with the company in any manner, you need to disclose that per WP:COI AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 13:22, 4 September 2021 (UTC)

- May be editors never added (or forget to add) this information to BSD article. But isn't a reliable third party source (in this case multiple news papers) enough to verify the information? Rsakib188 (talk) 21:08, 15 September 2021 (UTC)
- Rsakib188, I'm also pondering whether the title should be refined more like Communist Party of Bangladesh (disambiguation) is further disambiguated to party founders, since all the Socialist Party of Bangladesh parties are Marxist-Leninist. AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 21:25, 15 September 2021 (UTC)

- Rsakib188, who is the founder for the 2013 party? And what is the 2020 party and where was that spun off? who is the founder for the 2020 party? Also please add history in the Socialist Party of Bangladesh article for the two splits. AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 21:37, 15 September 2021 (UTC)

New Page Patrol newsletter September 2021
Hello AngusWOOF,
Please join this discussion - there is increase in the abuse of Wikipedia and its processes by POV pushers, Paid Editors, and by holders of various user rights including Autopatrolled. Even our review systems themselves at AfC and NPR have been infiltrated. The good news is that detection is improving, but the downside is that it creates the need for a huge clean up - which of course adds to backlogs.
Copyright violations are also a serious issue. Most non-regular contributors do not understand why, and most of our Reviewers are not experts on copyright law - and can't be expected to be, but there is excellent, easy-to-follow advice on COPYVIO detection here.
At the time of the last newsletter (#25, December 2020) the backlog was only just over 2,000 articles. New Page Review is an official system. It's the only firewall against the inclusion of new, improper pages.
There are currently 706 New Page Reviewers plus a further 1,080 admins, but as much as nearly 90% of the patrolling is still being done by around only the 20 or so most regular patrollers.
If you are no longer very active on Wikipedia or you no longer wish to be part of the New Page Reviewer user group, please consider asking any admin to remove you from the list. This will enable NPP to have a better overview of its performance and what improvements need to be made to the process or its software.
Various awards are due to be allocated by the end of the year and barnstars are overdue. If you would like to manage this, please let us know. Indeed, if you are interested in coordinating NPR, it does not involve much time and the tasks are described here.
To opt-out of future mailings, please remove yourself here. Sent to 827 users. 04:30, 16 September 2021 (UTC)
About: Iranian Cheetah Society (September 2) Hello Angus, Thanks for reviewing this page. you mentioned that "This reads like the group's site map.". just 2 of 9 references are from our website. one of them is "about us" page which I think is essential for reference. other references are well-known websites in wildlife conservation like WLT and IUCN and CATSG. others are well-known media. How can I improve my referencing? I can just add scientific articles but they are not directly about the organization. They are about research results. Also, This is the oldest and well-known Iranian NGO active in wildlife conservation.
Thanks --Persian.palas (talk) 09:00, 6 September 2021 (UTC)
- Persian.palas, I suggest you find more external news sources such as unassociated newspapers, magazines, websites, journals, that cover the organization. Also you should disclose that you are associated with the organization at WP:DISCLOSE It should not read like an outline of the organization's website. Compare with other organizations that have websites. AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 17:23, 7 September 2021 (UTC)
Thanks for the reply. As I mentioned, 7 from 9 references were independent. Also, Asiatic Cheetah page mentioned the society as it is the reference for Asiatic cheetah. The guardians, Tehran Times, and BBC wildlife are known newspapers. I used other organizations' pages as draft.

Request on 01:42:53, 22 September 2021 for assistance on Heritage Yak submission by Skyyak
Hi AngusWOOF (bark, sniff),
I sent the message below to Bkissin on 05:10, 11 September 2021 (UTC)Skyyak. Please let me know if you have any advice on how to proceed on this submission after the decline for Copywrited material: "Wikipedia cannot accept material copied from elsewhere, unless... you attribute the content of a draft to outside sources, using citations,.."
To Bkissin (11 September 2021): "I just ran the Heritage Yak article through Quetext https://www.quetext.com/results/941ce5830c5e85983b98 and got about 8 sentences identified. 6 of these are followed by citations. I will shortly rephrase the 8th sentence discussing: "both sexes have long shaggy hair with a dense woolly undercoat to insulate them from the cold. This may form a long "skirt" that can reach the ground." and provide an original citation. Can you give me any other tips to remove your rejection "because it included copyrighted content". Please help. Warmly, --Skyyak (talk) 05:10, 11 September 2021 (UTC)Skyyak"
I also thank you for your previous comment that you would love to accept our World Heritage Yak Conservancy submission. That was very encouraging. Perhaps WHYC isn't notable quite yet, but maybe Heritage Yak are.
Looking forward to your feedback.
Warmly,
Skyyak (talk) 03:55, 23 September 2021 (UTC)Sky-yak
- Skyyak, if you are quoting other articles as references, you should use quote marks on that. Also it would help if you use external news sources that aren't associated with the organization. AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 14:42, 23 September 2021 (UTC)
Mohammad El Medawar
Dear Angus, I understand very well your deletion of my article.
The text that I wrote is exactly the same as the text written in this Wikipedia article below https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Langston
Mr. Michael works as a professor at a university, and I work also as a lecturer in a reputable university. Mr. Michael work in research field of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, and I work also in the research field of the same topics. Mr. Michael has multiple publications and he mentioned only 1 reference, and also I have multiple publications and I mentioned 1 reference.
May I know why my article is deleted while the article of Mr. Michael is available online.
I'm willing to listen to you, know what wrong I am doing and to correct my mistakes. My ultimate goal is to have my profile published on Wikipedia.
I truly believe that my article is notable (unique), I am not advertising myself, and I have an important award, and a very notable invention in the field of education.
--MohammadElMedawar (talk) 10:24, 23 September 2021 (UTC)
- MohammadElMedawar, his article is being discussed on whether it should be deleted at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Michael Langston. AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 14:04, 23 September 2021 (UTC)
If you can notice, the request to be deleted has been raised today after I pointed his article. But, it has been online since 2006 without anyone noticing. Again, I don't want to delete his article. What I want is a person who can help me publish my own article. 1- Can you do that for me? 2- If not you, can you recommend anyone to help me with that? MohammadElMedawar (talk) 14:30, 23 September 2021 (UTC)
- MohammadElMedawar, see WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS. Also I provided a link on your talk page where you can request articles. AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 14:41, 23 September 2021 (UTC)
You tell me "see Other Stuff" but I didn't understand what do I need to do with it? please elaborate more. MohammadElMedawar (talk) 14:46, 23 September 2021 (UTC)
- MohammadElMedawar, I'm saying that just because there are other stub articles that have questionable notability doesn't guarantee your draft is notable. However you can learn what critieria and references would help your case. One of the editors there was saying there's some scholar index that could be checked, which might help. But I would go mainly by WP:NACADEMIC and seeing if there are enough external news articles that show you meet critieria listed there. AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 15:51, 23 September 2021 (UTC)
Rejection of article titled "Dose Effect"
Hello AngusWOOF! Thank you for reviewing my article and leaving a comment for me there. It's my first Wikipedia draft and I need some help. I picked up the topic from the list of requested articles, so does that still leave a possibility of it being neological? Also, can you please explain how the references are not "independent, reliable, published sources"? I really appreciate your feedback because it will help me learn. Thank you!
Amandawil (talk) 10:52, 28 September 2021 (UTC)
- Amandawil I considered it a neologism since it was not really clear how it is different from the Dose-response relationship, see websites like [1] which imply they are synonyms. It needs more background as to how the term was coined and propagated. AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 13:34, 28 September 2021 (UTC)
Thank you for the clarification. Both the terms are similar but not necessarily synonymous. Let me explain how:
Dose-response can be defined as "The relationship between the amount of exposure [dose] to a substance and the resulting changes in body function or health (response)." [2]
On the other hand, dose-effect can be defined as "The relationship between the dose of harm-producing substances or factors and the severity of their effect on exposed organisms or matter." [3]
Dose-response is used to describe how a substance stimulates a (biological or biochemical) response in an organism. This substance could be beneficial or toxic for the organism. Alternatively, dose-effect is used to describe the severity of a toxic substance's harmful effect.
Amandawil (talk) 15:52, 28 September 2021 (UTC)
- Amandawil, can you explain that difference on the draft and also on the Dose-response relationship article? You can also start a discussion on the talk page for Dose-response relationship to see if technically they should be separate terms or whether dose-effect relationship should be redirected to dose-response or made a section in dose-response. AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 18:13, 28 September 2021 (UTC)
Sure, thanks, I will add that to my draft! I have also started a discussion on the talk page of dose response and will now be waiting for responses on it. Thank you for your help.

Draft:Khushali Kumar
Thanks for comments. 1. Dua is Khushali's family name. Have added it for better clarity 2. Times of India Content This is challenging because Khushali lived in Delhi for a long time and her marriage and her 30th birthday party was covered by entertainment reporters of Times. It is hard to find other sourcing for her correct date of birth. It can only be edfiniteively inferred from her big 30th birthday bash in Delhi (24th Dec, 2012) which was covered by Times of India. Other than this definitive, contemporaneous reporting, there is no other source. Instead celeb biodata sites give her a much younger year of birth.
Please help. ThanksOCDorNOT (talk) 06:24, 29 September 2021 (UTC)
- OCDorNOT, Dua doesn't need to be in the name of the draft since that's not her common name. If that's her real family name and confirmed by news articles, you can leave that in the real name section and lead sentence bolding. Please find another source besides Times of India. Do not cite celeb biodata. If there's a news article that has her age as of a certain published news article (e.g. age 27 as of 29 September 2021) then you can use that in combination with a birthday self-published tweet / instagram saying "today is my birthday" to pinpoint the birth date. - Tajwar.thesuperman, please see the feedback I left on that article. You need to replace the "going to shoot in Russia" references with articles that they did shoot there and completed it. Also need more references to show that principal photography has actually commenced. Also please see Robert McClenon's feedback on your article. There needs to be a lot more notability to show this is worthy of being separate from the original film. This will probably be looked at again a week before the release when full trailers and media reviews have published. AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 19:27, 8 October 2021 (UTC)
- User:Tajwar.thesuperman - Please do not try to improve and resubmit this draft. Neither User:AngusWOOF nor I nor any reviewer can accept the draft. Heropanti 2 is a locked redirect, due to repeated recreations in the past. I Rejected the draft, which means: Do not resubmit the draft. I did not decline it, which would mean that you could resubmit it with changes. I gave you instructions on what to do if you really want to have an article about a film that is still in production:
- 1. Discuss with the locking administrator, User:Woody.
- 2. Request unprotection at Requests for Unprotection.
- 3. Request Deletion Review.
Those are your choices. If you don't understand them, you may ask for an explanation at the Teahouse. Improving and resubmitting the draft is not one of the choices. Do not improve and resubmit the draft. If you resubmit the draft again, I will have to make a report to WP:ANI, which I do not want to do. But the topic really is a locked redirect, and you will be disrupting if you continue to resubmit it. Robert McClenon (talk) 20:23, 8 October 2021 (UTC)

- I've sent it to AFD. I don't know whether, on a big-budget Indian movie, the community will interpret the guidelines as they are actually written, but I am applying the rules as they are written. Robert McClenon (talk) 07:00, 17 October 2021 (UTC)

What criteria of notability does this meet? I would like to know, it will help me with my future draft reviews. Ta. --Gryllida (talk, e-mail) 01:39, 21 October 2021 (UTC)
- Gryllida, see WP:NALBUM #2 "The recording has appeared on any country's national music chart." The EP ranked on the Gaon Album Chart which is the main music chart in South Korea. It should also have significant coverage in multiple reliable sources, so if the only sources are that it charted but nothing else can be found, then it shouldn't stay around. Hi! Declined New Page / Any advice?
Hi, I just submitted a new page (first time post / long time listener). It's for a business I've founded over a decade ago - I just realized we never got a wikipedia page going for it. we're similar to Mindbody_Inc.. We have over 2,000 clients as of now, and we're growing fast, so this isn't a fly by night type thing. I wanted to start building a reference for our history and the help we're doing in the community.
Any advice you can give me on the starter page I have built? I modeled it off of Mindbody - trying to keep it completely factual. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dan.uyemura (talk • contribs) 16:30, 25 October 2021 (UTC)
- Dan.uyemura, I suggest reading WP:PLAINSIMPLECOI and see if you can get someone unrelated to help rewrite your article. You can point them to external news articles that give significant coverage of your company, but aren't press releases or promotional articles. That should enable the article to meet WP:NCORP. Also keep in mind Wikipedia isn't a business listing so the article will eventually cover events both good and not so good. See WP:PROUD. It shouldn't need to reference your website except as a listing at the bottom of the article.AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 17:28, 25 October 2021 (UTC)
Rules based motion
Hi AngusWOOF, You declined my submission on Rules Based Motion, and your comments are both correct, pertinent, but unfortunately unresolvable. This is a new concept to reconcile the impossibility to explain how the wrist works when all the parts vary but the net output is consistent. The concept under pinned patents filed in 2000, as well as my PhD. It is clearly described as a neologism, and more /all of the background work is from our group. The wrist has been an impossible structure to resolve (and fix until now) due to is wide variation within the linkages and scatter-gram findings of empirical observations. This new concept has led to a surgical approach that is becoming a standard repair, but the Rule Based Motion notion is beyond most colleagues comprehension. Given your comment, I do not think this is resolvable and one of the challenges I have accepted of pushing out new concepts to question old incumbent and unworkable ideas. My thought was that Wikipedia could provide some notion that it was worth considering as way to reconcile the empirical vs conceptual explanations for such systems - and thus allow input form others in other fields. Maybe it could be aired, but with lots of disclaimers. You are right it is pulled off my thesis and other articles, but they contained the considered and required text, with some additional material. Thanks for the quick response, but unless it can be considered largely as it is, not worth resubmitting. Worth a try for me, but will not be able to address your concerns - as they were quite correct. MJSMJSandow (talk) 02:22, 23 October 2021 (UTC)
- MJSandow, the issue with neologisms WP:NEOLOGISM is whether it has widespread use, whether it is extended way beyond the scope of the researcher and the journal reviewers. Is it mentioned in non-journal articles, newspapers, and major websites? Also since it's a term you coined, then you may have to declare conflict of interest on the article. While it's in draft you can still edit it but once it's submitted and in mainspace, you may be restricted to only posting edit requests on the talk page. See WP:COI AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 16:14, 3 November 2021 (UTC)
The term "Rules Based Motion" has not extended much beyond the research teams, patent offices and numerous meeting presentations, and is definitely not a widely used term. If someone hears the term and looks for a simple definition and knowledge starting point, then it is now a standard to look to Wikipedia. This is seen as a gateway to find more information, and references to validate the concept. I would have no issue with disclaimers, but it is a Neologism, but an important suggestion to address a biomechanical conundrum. I thought a Wikipedia post may allow others to access the concept, and even refute it, but at least advance the discussion. Few scientists would regard Wikipedia as the bastion of facts, but it is a great conduit to collect ideas, gather thoughts and allow an understanding in a succinct format, which can direct to more "acceptable" peer reviewed material. From the previous discussion, it sounds like it is not suitable for Wikipedia, unless Wikipedia wants to also be is to be a gateway to new concepts (with appropriate disclaimers and qualifiers), before they are a standard.MJSandow (talk) 20:41, 3 November 2021 (UTC)

Questions about reliable sources
An article I wrote about the chronic pain network was denied because it was said to not have reliable sources. I understand that one of the links in the article was to the organization's website itself (so I definitely understand that it would be considered biased), but the other sources were for a newspaper article and a government of Canada website (CIHR). I've looked at the guidelines for reliable sources, and I am still a little confused and was hoping you could provide some clarification on what would be considered more reliable. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 135.23.44.19 (talk) 20:12, 3 November 2021 (UTC)
- 135.23.44.19, the official CIHR website is associated with the subject. Please see WP:INDY and WP:PRIMARY AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 22:45, 3 November 2021 (UTC)
- 135.23.44.19, you need "significant coverage in multiple reliable secondary sources that are independent of the subject." Going over the sources currently on that draft.
- "Health minister boosts chronic pain, IBS research funding". The Hamilton Spectator. 2016-03-31. ISSN 1189-9417. Retrieved 2021-11-03.
- Only mentions CPN briefly as receiving funding. This is not significant coverage of CPN. It is an independent reliable source though.
- Research, Canadian Institutes of Health (2016-03-31). "Investing in Better Health". Canada.ca. Retrieved 2021-11-03.
- Canada.ca is part of Government of Canada so this is not independent of the subject.
- "Who We Are". Chronic Pain Network. Retrieved 2021-11-03.
- This is their own website. Not independent of the subject.
- "Strategy for Patient Oriented Research". Canadian Institutes of Health Research. 2021-11-01.
- This is the sponsoring organization. Not independent of the subject.
- "Health minister boosts chronic pain, IBS research funding". The Hamilton Spectator. 2016-03-31. ISSN 1189-9417. Retrieved 2021-11-03.
For more explanation see WP:ORGCRIT, but you'll want to find at least 2-3 articles that will meet this "significant coverage in multiple reliable secondary sources that are independent of the subject." If newspapers have written up details on visiting CPN, you can use that. Hope that helps. AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 23:10, 3 November 2021 (UTC)

Draft:Tom Brier
I heard about this guy a couple days ago and found out that (despite having an article on the French, German and Finnish Wikipedia) his article here was woefully incomplete (and a draft had been declined some months ago). So today I did my best, which you can see here. Now, I typically just write articles in mainspace (as I'm a NPP myself), but for this one I am not sure: I don't usually write BLPs (and am not very familiar with WP:NMUSIC), so I would appreciate having another pair of eyes on this. If you have any pointers I'd be glad to hear them. Best, jp×g 23:39, 7 November 2021 (UTC)
- jp, if you can list out which criteria he meets for WP:MUSICBIO and cite external news sources to back that up, that will help. AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 01:22, 8 November 2021 (UTC)
- Well, I have brought it up to eighteen external references (having pruned out the bad ones from the previous revision). The ones I'd put forward as the most obvious WP:SIGCOV are 1, 5, 12, 13 and 17 (which go into a fair bit of specific detail on Brier); I am not sure, however, if these would pass the typical level of scrutiny that biographies get at AfD. jp×g 08:31, 8 November 2021 (UTC)

Historical bioarchaeology entry declined
Dear Angus I've read your comments on my proposed entry "Historical bioarchaeology" and I would be glad if you could help me out on the following. First of all can you elaborate on why this term is a neologism? My proposed entry aimed at giving this term publicly since it is the combination of two subfields of research (in my study areas) and it is very often misunderstood. In addition to that I didn't promote any personal work but rather did initial research in order to contribute in Wikipedia in a detailed manner that followed both code of conduct and guidelines. Lastly, I cannot see how my detailed article is not sufficient for being published, while another less detailed and updated one has an entry of its own namely "Medieval bioarchaeology" (which also counts less words). Thank you in advance!
Best regards, Anna — Preceding unsigned comment added by Anna karligkioti (talk • contribs) 15:20, 15 November 2021 (UTC)
- Anna karligkioti, my suggestion is to start a split request on the bioarchaeology article and see if there's enough content to warrant a split. Also the article should describe how it came about. Who coined the term and how widespread it is in other research groups. AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 15:28, 15 November 2021 (UTC)
- AngusWOOF, thank you very much for your answer! I have seen that there is another entry on Near Eastern bioarchaeology. I would like put more content to another entry on Aegean Bioarchaeology similarly rather than merge historical bioarchaeology with bioarchaeology. I will though add some additions on the main bioarchaeology entry to includeinfo on historical bioarchaeology! Thanks again!

Frankie Fusilli Page Creation Attempt
Hello, I've realised that the Frankie Fusilli page will likely never exist so would a list of characters in The Sims 2 DS be more appropriate and if so should each character have independent citations or should there be sources for the list as a whole? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A00:23C7:5202:5F01:14DE:42BF:D895:60B4 (talk) 17:42, 15 November 2021 (UTC)
- 2A00:23C7:5202:5F01:14DE:42BF:D895:60B4, are these standard recurring/playable characters in the game? They could be mentioned at The Sims 2 page in the Plot section. AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 17:48, 15 November 2021 (UTC)
Basically the DS version of the game is completely different from other versions, sharing only the name - it's a hotel management game with established non-playable characters that give you tasks and are exclusive to this game. I can try to incorporate this information into the Sims 2 page if that would be more appropriate. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A00:23C7:5202:5F01:14DE:42BF:D895:60B4 (talk) 18:20, 15 November 2021 (UTC)
- 2A00:23C7:5202:5F01:14DE:42BF:D895:60B4, you can see in games like Fire Emblem Heroes and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City how they mention some of the key characters in their summaries/plots, assuming they are highly prominent characters in the edition. If they're side characters that wouldn't get any notable coverage, then there's no need to mention. AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 18:07, 16 November 2021 (UTC)

Hi Angus WOOF.
My brief submision to Hubble's Law page is intended as a math reference point ONLY, stating how Hubble's Constant is directly related to light speed (C) and Pi. There appears to be indecision and an indefinately long stalemate surrounding the numerical value of Hubble's Constant.
An inclusion of thia would ease this problem, much in the same way Maxwell's equations clarified and settled the speed of light problem.
Kind regards, ClownBojo
ClownBojo (talk) 19:41, 16 November 2021 (UTC)
- ClownBojo, you should discuss this calculation on the talk page for the law/constant, as there are multiple derivations and calculations. You also need to bring journal articles or news articles showing this method is widely used. AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 19:47, 16 November 2021 (UTC)

Regarding "Physiological reserve" draft
Good day, I am the original editor of the draft for "Physiological reserve". I see that you have declined my submission. May I please ask you to elaborate as to the issue that made you see fit to decline the submission? The term, or one of its alternative names, is referenced in several Wikipedia articles, and the draft contains a number of references to medical texts and textbooks that also reference the term. Was it declined due to inadequate references? If so I can add additional references if necessary. For the record, I am not a medical professional, but I have a reasonably good general knowledge of medicine.
58.107.92.93 (talk) 05:31, 17 November 2021 (UTC)
- 58.107.92.93, see WP:NEOLOGISM. It needs more external news sources to show widespread use of the term. So far only a handful of papers mention it. The article should also indicate how the term was coined and who coined it. It can "See also" to other types of reserves such as Functional reserve capacity. AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 19:03, 17 November 2021 (UTC)
- 58.107.92.93, you can have it redirect to Physiological functional capacity. I think that's the same term you are going for. AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 19:06, 17 November 2021 (UTC)

- Thanks Liz, I didn't really see an AFD/MFD on it, but saw that create-protection was rather serious and looked up ANI results. AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 16:50, 18 November 2021 (UTC)
Sjtiano12: My submitted page for review
Hi Angus. I just noticed your note on my Wikipedia talk page. I'm very confused as to where I was supposed to respond to your comment in order to contact you or speak to someone at Wikipedia for help with getting my article reviewed and verified, but I was hoping you could help me out. I do have a COI with the person I am submitting the page for -- I'm the son of the man who's the source of the article. However, I am very happy to submit my COI relation to the topic, but as you can see, all of my sources are backed by strongly verified publications, and I avoided using any sort of personal language. If it is easier to get the process of officially getting this page created by having someone else submit the page, please let me know and I can hire someone who has no personal connection to me or my father. But, it seems that even though Wikipedia urges against submitting articles for someone you know or someone you're related to, they still allow it and accept it -- and I'm hoping they will still accept my page submission. If you would like to respond via email, I would love to chat. My email is sjtiano12@gmail.com. Thanks again for your help.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Sjtiano12 (talk • contribs) 20:31, 19 November 2021 (UTC)
- Sjtiano12, please see my comments on the draft. There's stuff like birthday/birthplace, children's names, which should not be listed unless that was covered by the publicized articles. If you can find more general articles that cover his career the Forbes one, that would help. AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 20:32, 19 November 2021 (UTC)
Hi Angus. Not really sure how to respond to your comments on the page itself - but the pictures I used were sent to me by my father himself, taken from hired photographers for our own personal use. Also, I added an Ancestry.com book made for my family which references birthdate, children, family life, etc. Also, I added his bio on First Republic bank website which further details his career. I can make other changes if necessary. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sjtiano12 (talk • contribs) 20:52, 19 November 2021 (UTC)

Request on 21:01:13, 23 November 2021 for assistance on AfC submission by Orrubini
Hello! The articles originally cited for this page were primarily East Coast, USA oriented but I have also gotten press from international media outlets (primarily from the UK) - Would the addition of this sort of international press be a valid resubmission? If not, no worries! Thank you!
Orrubini (talk) 21:01, 23 November 2021 (UTC)
- Orrubini, if they are reviews of your work then that will help, but not if they are press releases. AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 21:25, 23 November 2021 (UTC)

I was expecting more than a cheap shot.

Wdf231🐶🐶🐶
Bloomberg News is a solid news source..... I got you a virtual slice of Pizza and for sure not a >barnstar for your skills in wikipedia.,all the best
enjoy your pizza
- Wdf231, did you read WP:109PAPERS? You shouldn't use the same article across multiple papers and assume that counts as separate sources. AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 05:56, 24 November 2021 (UTC)
- Wdf231, the article has been trimmed down to 3 sources, one of which is written by Pete himself, and the other was published just this week. Can you find any others? AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 17:30, 24 November 2021 (UTC)
Error distinguishing between Religion and Mythology
Religion and Mythology are two completely different topics. You need to properly read both subjects to realize that there is a distinction between both topics. The article "Efik religion" has over 70 references and the subtopics are not a photocopy of the work Efik mythology. Kindly revisit the work again. Your remark is as good as saying the page "Religion in ancient Rome" should be under "Roman Mythology". Iamosamudiame (talk) 13:56, 24 November 2021 (UTC)
- Iamosamudiame, you should discuss that at the talk page for Efik people on whether an article on religion should be split out. AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 15:15, 24 November 2021 (UTC)

Hi, thank you for the review & comment.
I see how the academic notability is easily judged by full prof level, this article is about a young academic, basically too young to be a full prof (4 years from start of independent group). The contribution to the field is evident by number and impact of publications/ h-index = 32 (e.g. see https://scholar.google.com/citations?user=s4t6rssAAAAJ) and significant funding awarded.
I am seeing a lot of pages for scientists with lesser impact (to what I can judge). I fully understand that there is a gender balance gap in wikipedia, and Jess Wade (Jesswade88) made a big contribution of logging female scientists, incl younger academics. With this page, I am also hoping to adequately present younger scientists in general, who are making impact into their research field. I am indeed strugling to source all the info, but I hope with an active page there will be more information and references added.
DrU1104 (talk) 17:43, 24 November 2021 (UTC)
- DrU1104, you can comment about the academic h-index and other items that will support the critieria on Curchod's talk page. Then AFC reviewers can look there and see if that will be good enough for WP:NACADEMIC. AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 18:07, 24 November 2021 (UTC)
- DrU1104, also if you are associated with Curchod in any way, like school, dept. company, you need to disclose COI. AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 18:17, 24 November 2021 (UTC)
- AngusWOOF, Thank you. I have resubmitted with a comment - sorry, the way wiki works is very new, so i'm clumsily learning. I've checked Conflict of Interest and nothing falling under it, i.e. no publications or work/education universities, just general chemistry background. If I had a COI, it would at least help me with references which are not on the first page of google hits... Thank you for your help! — Preceding unsigned comment added by DrU1104 (talk • contribs) 18:30, 24 November 2021 (UTC)

Hi, Well, OK; I'm a PhD student, my field is ancient Greece, and the source I'm citing is a well-known ancient Greek text; the translation referred to is the one originally published in the Loeb series and is currently available in the Perseus project website of the Tufts University, both publishers being well-established in the field. It is standard practice in ancient Greek and Roman studies to refer merely to the ancient author (here, specifically, Plut. Them. 1.1), not to a secondary edition or translation, unless the particular edition or translation is under scrutiny, which is why I merely inserted a link, not details of the translation.
Admittedly, Neocles does not seem to have had a very remarkable role in history, other than being Themistocles' father.
JV3JV (talk) 18:37, 25 November 2021 (UTC)
- JV3JV, you could probably request for it to be a redirect to Themistocles until there's enough independent notability for him. See WP:NOTINHERITED. But there might be other people who are using that name too. It also looks like it's the name of his son as well. AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 18:40, 25 November 2021 (UTC)

Bar Council of Assam
Hi AngusWOOF. Thanks for your time and efforts in reviewing this article and helping me post in main space. Have a nice day. Gardenkur (talk) 11:04, 25 November 2021 (UTC)
- Gardenkur, as per the talk page for the article, can you detail some more history into the organization? From the "About Us" it appears they had a number of versions from 3, 5, 6, 8 states. Or has the organization always been 8 states? AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 23:34, 26 November 2021 (UTC)
Hi AngusWOOF. As the summary of article says, it is about the association of members practicing as lawyers in seven north eastern states of India. As these are small states, the members have a single Bar Council working for their interest. Hence request you to revert to its original name. Thanking in advance. Gardenkur (talk) 02:20, 27 November 2021 (UTC)
The Wiggles
Take a Look at User_talk:120.144.23.170 they are adding all kinds of stuff, do you know what they are doing? Jena (talk) 00:58, 26 November 2021 (UTC)
- Jena, you can also ask SatDis to get involved as they have been maintaining the main pages. AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 23:31, 26 November 2021 (UTC)
oh Yah SatDis I forgot about you sorry ... the IP is also change the wiggle on wikidata too... Jena (talk) 00:18, 27 November 2021 (UTC)
Dr. Debbie Qaqish
Thanks for taking a look at my sandbox / AfC submission and taking the time!
Question: I understand Wikipedia isn't a place for just anyone (I have read and understand notability / neutrality, for example). I do believe she warrants consideration due to pioneering a concept that's in the marketing space and continues to have impact, and the sources I think are favorable when compared to a page such as Scott Brinker.
If you feel there's additional information needed, can you give me some feedback so I can do some additional work? Certainly open to learning from your constructive criticism.
Thanks again! SportsGuy17 (talk) 14:25, 18 November 2021 (UTC)
- SportsGuy17, can you provide external news articles that cover her career? The article has a strong promotional tone as seen with people writing personal statements about themsevles on LinkedIn or profiles found at the bottom of press releases. There are resume statements and bullet lists saying how she accomplished this and that. I suggest trying to write about her without referencing material from her website profiles or press releases. AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 15:28, 18 November 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks for that, I'll see what I can do. Based on what I've seen on other biographies, I thought some of the accomplishments were worth noting as a nod to status / notability in the marketing & advertising space (I think the only press release I reference is from the company that awarded her one of the designations?).
- I'll take another pass with a careful eye for removing promotional statements + finding new sources. Do you mind if I ping you here when finished, instead of re-submitting through AfC process so I can get this more appropriate before re-submitting? Thanks! SportsGuy17 (talk) 16:14, 18 November 2021 (UTC)
- SportsGuy17, if you can list out three external news sources (see WP:THREE) that cover her career on the draft page comments or talk page, then we can check whether the person is notable despite the tone. Also check out WP:IBA and WP:IPR which lists some promotional phrases to avoid. AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 16:43, 18 November 2021 (UTC)
- Understood, I'll proceed in that direction, then. Thank you! SportsGuy17 (talk) 17:09, 18 November 2021 (UTC)
- SportsGuy17, there was another article on another executive named Debbie, Deb Liu, which has a bunch of external news references that aren't press releases. AngusW🐶🐶F (bark • sniff) 17:35, 18 November 2021 (UTC)
- Understood, I'll proceed in that direction, then. Thank you! SportsGuy17 (talk) 17:09, 18 November 2021 (UTC)
- I took a look at the Deb Liu article ... that feels like a stub (though I understand it's not) and I see what you mean re: citations. I've taken a pass through the draft to try and clean up some of the promotional tone and changed some of the citations, as well. Do you mind taking a quick once-over and giving your impressions on whether this is worth continuing to work on? SportsGuy17 (talk) 20:37, 29 November 2021 (UTC)
