Hello Andrei, thank for your the nom of this image for FP in this Wikipedia! I've just uploaded a new version removing some disturbing elements (people), I hope you like it better now than before. I also wanted to let you know that this image is not FP but another one: File:Ayuntamiento, Poznan, Polonia, 2019-12-18, DD 07-09 HDR.jpg. I'm not sure whether the fact that it's already FP on Commons is of big help here, though. If you are willing to nom any of my images here or on Commons and you feel like that there's room for improvement, just let me know if advance and usually I can quickly provide a new improved version. Take care! --Poco2 11:18, 13 December 2020 (UTC)

  • Thank you for such a fast response! I liked the old version but the new one is, indeed, better! As for the versions, the Christmas photo is really cool but I have a feeling that for Wikipedia it's better to illustrate articles with something more neutral, and that's why I choose this version. Let's see how it goes, but I hope the nomination will be successful. --Andrei (talk) 11:29, 13 December 2020 (UTC)

WikiProject assessment tags for talk pages

Thank you for your recent articles, including Silesian Museum of Fine Arts, which I read with interest. When you create a new article, can you add the WikiProject assessment templates to the talk of that article? See the talk page of the article I mentioned for an example of what I mean. Usually it is very simple, you just add something like {{WikiProject Keyword}} to the article's talk, with keyword replaced by the associated WikiProject (ex. if it's a biography article, you would use WikiProject Biography; if it's a United States article, you would use WikiProject United States, and so on). You do not have to rate the article if you do not want to, others will do it eventually. Those templates are very useful, as they bring the articles to a WikiProject attention, and allow them to start tracking the articles through Wikipedia:Article alerts and other tools. For example, WikiProject Poland relies on such templates to generate listings such as Article Alerts, Popular Pages, Quality and Importance Matrix and the Cleanup Listing. Thanks to them, WikiProject members are more easily able to defend your work from deletion, or simply help try to improve it further. Feel free to ask me any questions if you'd like more information about using those talk page templates. Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 03:22, 2 April 2021 (UTC)

POV statement

Andrew J.Kurbiko, the statement you inserted is bias and POV, anytime someone throws around the word "propaganda" it raises question marks about neutrality, and the whole thing sounds more like political rhetoric or just political talking points. I can find you plenty of sources from the right that for example say that CNN has become a corporate mouthpiece of the Democratic party and the Biden administration (becoming in effect a pro-government outlet) in the US. In any case, this is not the article to insert short political statements based on a few chosen sources, to fit the political narrative of the moment.

Finally, consider George Friedman, who a couple of years back commented on the political hysteria surrounding Poland and Hungary, saying: "A perfect case now is the supposed discovery that Poland and Hungary are fascist states. I have seen fascist states, and there is a long way to go before these are fascist states!" So, anytime you hear someone say Poland is a "fascist" state or PiS "propaganda", you need to take a step back, these are terms used to describe worst regimes in the world, not political parties you don't agree with. --E-960 (talk) 05:10, 5 May 2021 (UTC)

  • I think you are mixing here two unrelated ideas. There is a distinct difference between freedom of the press (reflected in international indexes, where USA is doing fine) and the narrative of fascism, which is discussed by Friedman. The first one is a study conducted with empirical methods, based on comparative research. The second one is a point of view, indeed. --Andrei (talk) 11:21, 5 May 2021 (UTC)
Another user, rightly pointed out "TVP has a history of being an advocacy mouthpiece of every [Polish] government in control because it is state-owned.. that's the fact". So, back in the day, when PO was in power and TVP ran PO-friendly news stories for 8 years it was ok, and when TVP disproportionately ran segments with Komorowski and gave very little air time to Duda, no NGO sounded the alarm that TVP is bias and not giving each candidate equal time. You probably remember the Wprost laptop incident [2], do you re-call any of the EU commissioners or NGOs sounding the alarm that under the Tusk administration journalists were being intimidated (where in the US, UK or France could you imagine that a security service would show up to confiscate material from a journalist???). Now, under the PiS administration, Poland is a "fascist" state and TVP is a state sponsored "propaganda" outlet, so it so secret that such comparisons are just political talking points. Remember, Wikipedia is an encyclopedia not a platform for political rhetoric. --E-960 (talk) 15:55, 5 May 2021 (UTC)
