Fraud of the century

edit

I have never seen a company like this before. Vedanta has violated every basic environmental, fair trade, social, heath and safety norm in India. The company is literally a modern merchant of death.Anwar (talk) 01:38, 23 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Scrubbing this article

edit

All but one paragraph of the criticism section of this article was scrubbed by User:Percybiz (and perhaps others) between 20:05, 4 August 2008 and 07:38, 16 September 2008 see: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Vedanta_Resources&diff=238803819&oldid=229899901

I restored the scrubbed content, but this sort of thing will probably happen again as long as this article maintains its third position on the search results for Vendanta Resource on Google. mennonot (talk) 20:30, 20 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

NPOV tag added without beginning discussion on talk page

edit

At 09:29, 9 February 2010, User 59.160.210.68 added an NPOV tag to this article without adding any explanation on the talk page. The tag says "Please see the discussion on the talk page". Since 59.160.210.68 did not start a discussion on this page, I am removing the tag until 59.160.210.68 (or some other user) does start a discussion here making a case for this article being NPOV. --mennonot (talk) 18:02, 9 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Good move, I think it was perhaps a little POV but they fixed that by adding a some statements from the company to counter the criticisms against them. Ideally we would get rid off the lengthy criticism section and turn it into more neutral titles, most likely per mining location. Smartse (talk) 18:36, 9 February 2010 (UTC)Reply
I also agree the tag should be removed. If the editor thinks the article can be further improved they should improve it. Dormskirk (talk) 21:39, 15 October 2012 (UTC)Reply
An IP has again added a drive by tag without adding any explanation on the talk page. As per previous discussion, if the editor thinks the article can be further improved they should improve it. Dormskirk (talk) 18:10, 1 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
P.S. I have removed some material on 2007 deaths which was quite old; the rest looks very serious and certainly not "undue". If the IP wants more removed they should propose it here. Dormskirk (talk) 18:38, 1 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
