Trailer for Unstoppable edit

When was the trailer for Unstoppable coming out? --68.191.69.187 (talk) 00:01, 29 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Sources edit

Since the trailer says the film is based on a true story I went looking for a source that noted that. Found this which gives a few details about the runaway train that is the loose basis (scroll past the embedded video). I haven't searched for more detail yet but it looks like that article gives enough info to find more down the road. If anyone wants to throw it up there eventually, there you go. The best way to get THE REAL STORY is to Google CSX 8888 runaway. Check the different links and you can read what really happened. It is this incident that the movie is BASED on. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.1.246.189 (talk) 08:20, 11 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Production edit

How does "Unstoppable suffered various production challenges before filming could commence, including casting, schedule, location and budgetary concerns." differ from every movie ever created? — Preceding unsigned comment added by CapnZapp (talkcontribs) 11 November 2010

Blame it on well-meaning editors who haven't lived long enough and unintentionally absorb too much entertainment-industry journalism. But I will say that having your star formally quit on you after he's pretty much set, because you haven't set a start date, then come back two weeks later and then actually make the movie is a little unusual. Locomotive Operation edit

Would it be important to note that the controls used by Will towards the end of film are not in fact known as the "independent brake"? 203.109.204.245 (talk) 11:59, 12 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Company edit

Why is Unstoppable a spanish film? According Imdb and Allmovie, the country of film is the USA. – Viloris (talk) 14:41, 8 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

It is so difficult to get a clear answer on this question that editors have essentially given up (by insisting it be referenced, which is largely impractical). There should be some information at Template:Infobox film but basically no one is quite sure how to deal with the nationality of the director, the nationality of the companies that finance the film, or that a film is largely short in one place, or the place they are pretending it is.
In this case it is most likely to be vandalism but the next most likely possibility is that financing came from Spain. The strict approach would be to delete the information entirely until someone has a reference, but it is very hard to find a definitive reference -- Horkana (talk) 02:37, 9 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Where is Stanton, Pennsylvania? edit

There is a Stanton, Philadelphia on Wikipedia but the movie treated this city as if it was completely separate from Philly. Furthermore, they said it had a population of 725,000. I don't even think Pittsburgh is that big.

If it's fictional I should change the redirect I just created to a disambiguation.— Vchimpanzee · talk · contributions · 19:54, 1 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

It's fictional. Calidum Talk To Me 01:39, 2 June 2014 (UTC)Reply
Thank you, and I did see this somewhere else, so I have made the necessary edits to other pages.— Vchimpanzee · talk · contributions · 20:24, 2 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

Fox 43 logo is real logo of Fox affiliate in Harrisburg, PA edit

The Fox 43 logo shown in the movie is the actual logo of WPMT-TV, the Fox affiliate in Harrisburg, PA, which broadcasts on Channel 43. Bill S. (talk) 16:23, 2 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

False Hero Link? edit

Why does the description of the ending contain a link to the "False Hero" page, in relation to Frank, Will & Ned? They were genuine heroes in the movie. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.148.183.5 (talk) 03:37, 9 June 2019 (UTC)Reply
