I think it's time to make the list of awards and nominations into a separate article

It's getting way too long. Does anyone else agree?

Separate page for awards?

I personally think that setting up a separate page for the awards of True Blood would be a good thing to do. Desperate Housewives, Glee and Will & Grace are several examples of televisions shows that have a separate page for their numerous awards. With the awards piling up for the show, I think it'd be a good idea to set it up now. I will happily do it, if people agree that it is a good idea to do. What does everyone else think? Have added links to the official UK website as well as the US version but they have been removed. I think it would be a benefit to the page to make sure users are able to linked to their respective countries websites. Elliewellie558 (talk) 09:15, 28 September 2011 (UTC)Elliewellie558

www.hbo.com is and American website designed to be used by Americans. www.hboasia.com is an Asian website designed to be used by 22 Asian countries in a variey of languages. www.hbouk.com is a UK website designed to be used by the UK. Wikipedia is accessed by all of these countries so why only add the American one? I appreciate it's an american produced show, but this does not mean that the audience are all Americans and that the only people that access this page are American. WP:ELOFFICIAL notes that, "More than one official link should be provided only when the additional links provide the reader with unique content and are not prominently linked from other official websites". WP:ELOFFICIAL also notes that "If the subject of the article has more than one official website, then more than one link may be appropriate." I agree with what you are saying, and yes I would say that they have enough unique content to warrant the seperate links. Obviously they cover of some of the same points as its one show, but each is has unique copy and has information which is tailored to that particular country. This is purely to give the user a choice based on which country they are in.

Could you provide more information regarding what material they cover that you feel is sufficiently unique to make the additional sites merit inclusion? Doniago (talk) 13:26, 30 September 2011 (UTC)

I think it's totally unnecessary - type True Blood + any country into Google and you'll find the appropriate website. I don't think people are that helpless. I also looked at the UK site and don't think it adds anything (and I'm a Brit!) Also, when TB first came out, we did have many of those external links on the page, and they were removed over and over again, so we have been through this several times before, with the consensus seemingly being not to put them in. No the American site is not blocked - anyone can access it. The UK website does however have up to date show times & channel information for the UK audience. Having looked across a number of articles, not necessarily related to True Blood & HBO, it does seem that it is good practice to have localised official websites. You may say it's unnecessary, but if anything it is a useful addition to the page if you are a UK user (and if you are in the US you would click on the US link). Im struggling to understand why there is such opposition to making a change that will in fact make the article a more useful resource to users outside the US. I still haven't seen any information regarding content the non-US websites provide that is substantially unique. Airtimes are a trivial matter that anyone can look up without resorting to the True Blood website. You claim other articles list localized websites, but a) that may be a case of WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS and b) you haven't provided links to said articles, which would be a help. If we included everything in an article that any editor considered "useful" the net effect would be to make articles less useful. Doniago (talk) 15:34, 3 October 2011 (UTC)

I'm not really sure whether you're saying that we should just link to the most applicable website (i.e. the American one in this case) or whether you're supporting Ellie's view that multiple official links should be included. Ellie has just re-added the external links. I have removed them, as there was no policy-supported basis for adding them, nor was there consensus in the above discussion that I can see. Some inaccurate information on descrptions

Hello,

I wanted to start by saying that Wikipedia is amazing. Thank you all for all your hard work and research that is done to keep up with all the information.

On the opening paragraph; the series is not based on Sookie and Bill. It is based on Sookie and her romances. In the books, as you all know, her primary love is Eric thus far. The series has been building this up gradually over the last four seasons. As you know, season 4 is the season where Eric and Sookie finally admitted their love for one another. All I am saying is that the series is just not based on Sookie and Bill as stated in Wikipedia. Also, season 4 was primarily based on the Sookie and Eric love story. I see that it is not mentioned in season 4 description. I understand the you that obtain your information from various places. But if you would do your best to correct it we would all appreciate it.

WHY DOES THIS SAY "The Southern Vampire Mysteries"??

I own ALL of these books and have read them COVER TO COVER, and NOWHERE on ANY book I own does it say "The Southern Vampire Mysteries."!! It says "The Sookie Stackhouse Novels!" I am sitting with a stack of these books right in front of my face and NONE of them say "The Southern Vampire Mysteries" anywhere on them. They ALL say "A SOOKIE STACKHOUSE NOVEL", but that isn't used even ONCE on this page. I tried to correct that because I thought that's what I was supposed to do... but it didn't stay that way. I guess it doesn't matter that much...but it is incorrect to not say that's the name of the series.

Randomly added Billith to the page as a joke, when I mistakenly believed I came up with it on September 2nd. Rev Bill Schnoebelen was a fan of the series.

American Preacher Rev Bill Schnoebelen was a regular viewer of the True Blood Show saying that he used the Show for accurate insight into Vampire Culture. Rev Schnoebelen claims to have been a real life Vampire at one point in his life.Johnwrd (talk) 02:36, 12 January 2014 (UTC)

53 Main stars

There hasn't been a show that has existed with 53 main stars. Recurring characters also appear in the credits and can appear in multiple episodes in a row of if they are an important part of the series story arc. This doesn't make them main stars.--TheMightyAllBlacks (talk) 02:04, 1 May 2019 (UTC)

PBI, I thought the same thing as TheMightyAllBlacks. Please consider reducing the list to only those considered the true stars of the series. I'd include Paquin, Moyer, Wesley, Ellis, Trammel, Kwanten, Bauer, and maybe Mangianello. 208.65.135.16 (talk) 22:22, 7 May 2019 (UTC)
