One of the sections begins with s nonsensical sentence fragment, and the article contradicts itself on the subject of whether or not the locomotives were based on real prototypes. This lack of clarity and conciseness is hard on those who struggle to read. Also, there are those totally unfamiliar with Thomas, making this a problematic introduction to him for them. I've tweaked the bit about prototypes, hopefully it is clearer now. Which section begins with "a nonsensical sentence fragment"? I'm happy to address that too. The locomotive that Thomas the Tank Engine is based off is owned by the Nene Valley Railway in Peterborough after being purchased from British Sugar who had a factory in Peterborough. The engine was officially dedicated Thomas by the Rev Awdry himself and runs from their Wansford station upto their station at Yarwell on a regular basis.
