Hey @Martinevans123: - ever heard this? You can sing "There is an article, citation needed" to the chorus in the title track! Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 22:14, 19 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

Wow, I thought I had some obscure 70s albums. But this one really takes the biscuit. (Although I never even knew Curly's Airships was set in Weatherfield, sob). Martinevans123 (talk) 22:40, 19 February 2015 (UTC) ... that band of yours should really try and get some new material.Reply
I've only ever heard the title track of this album, years ago on late night radio (Bob Harris perhaps?) full blast coming back from a gig, and clearly remember adverts for it that were standard on Harvest albums of the time, including Deep Purple In Rock and Atom Heart Mother, amongst others. Yes, we'll get some more material but trying to pull in influences like this which has a time signature change in the middle while retaining the sound the whole band wants and the audience will accept is a hard act to pull off. I'm sure it can be done. Martinevans123 (talk) 14:41, 20 February 2015 (UTC) p.s. maybe it was the good Mr Ravenscroft?Reply
This is the closest I've got at the mo - I'm on piano, Hammond and bass. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 16:38, 20 February 2015 (UTC)Reply
Wow!! How superbly funkalicious. I highly recommend this gem (which features the amazing Brecker Brothers) if you haven't yet heard it (a few tracks on GlueTube). Martinevans123 (talk) 19:00, 20 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

Say, Martinevans123, I wish I could find a reliable source about the cover. I can see Pete Townshend, Charlie Watts, Vivian Stanshall, Keith Richards, Roger Ruskin Spear ... who else is there. I thought one of them was John Peel but he was a public school chap. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 13:57, 30 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

Yes, he was a Shrew, by Jove, don'tcha know. Poor old Viv only pretended to be a public school chap. I guess a good starting point would be to know who drew it. Martinevans123 (talk) 15:16, 30 March 2015 (UTC)Reply
