Reference to Lord of War?

the beginning of the music video (house, limo, Jared Leto inside) is quite similar to the scene when Nicolas Cage's character delivers Jared Leto's character to the detox clinic in Lord of War. (131.130.121.106 19:30, 27 March 2007 (UTC))

hey i saw that too but i found out the hard way!!!! I LOVED THE FILM CLIP AND ALWAYS LOVED WATCHING IT AND THEN A COUPLE MONTHS AFTER I SAW LORD OF WAR AND RECOGNISED JARED LETO AS BEING IN THE MOVIE. The point in that movie that i recognised him was when Nicolace Cage was delivering him to the Rehabilitation center. That looked so familliar!! Alright movie by the way.... Dog or Bear?

In the video, from what I see, it is aclearly a dog. Also, the video is based off of The Shining. In The Shining it is a dog. Whoever reverted my edit said that the consensus on the band's forums was that is was a dog. However, since when is a forum a reliable source? That's fan speculation. In The Shining it is a dog and I would consider that a much more reliable resource. --Scorpios 02:44, 5 April 2007 (UTC)

Time signature?

I know that 3/4 vs 6/8 is often a bit ambiguous, but from what i get listening to it, the chord changes would indicate 6/8 time, since there is one after every 6 beats, rather than 3 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 58.175.25.45 (talk) 12:43, 16 April 2009 (UTC)

it's 3/4 i'm sure, the chord changes aren't the main thing that signifies meter. it goes ONE two-three for 3/4 rather than One two-three FOUR five-six. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.68.228.39 (talk) 18:10, 15 July 2009 (UTC)

Agreed, 6/8 goes ONE two three FOUR five six... and so does this song. Even the lyrics line up with 6/8, "What if I fell to the floor" comes right with the downbeat of the tenth measure. Of course you'll argue that it's also the 20th measure of 3/4 but nothing starts/changes in an odd measure of 3/4 the chords, the lyrics everything else will come on every even measure if counted in 3/4. That sounds an awful lot like 6/8 to me.

Rebirth?

I don't think Rebirth is the name in brackets it was released under in the UK. As it says in the A Beautiful Lie article, The Kill (Rebirth) was the name of the remix released as a bonus track here in Ireland. Was it only released as the remix in the UK and not as the original at all?

Genre

Alright, were the genres here removed because of vandalism? I see none that's extremely persistent, and if that becomes a problem, there's always semi-protection. This song is too damn heavy to be listed as "Rock" if we have a source for it, and for a high-quality article, genres somewhere are essential. (I've seen some articles take this route, ex. HIM (band) and Evanescence.) I at least suggest restoring a "genre" or "style" section to the page, as there are several RSes to list this song for a certain genre, ex. progressive metal [1], hard rock [2], alternative rock [3], and emo[4]. Putting in the infobox four so different genres will make the reader confused. When situations like this arise, the most sensible thing is to go with a broad genre everyone can agree with (e.g. simply 'rock'). There's nothing wrong with this, even for a high-quality article; see City of Angels, a featured article which has simply 'rock' in the genre field of the infobox. A style section could include comments by music critics in which all sourced genres are discussed.--Earthh (talk) 10:37, 20 September 2015 (UTC)

If we can't put it in the infobox, okay, fine, keep rock there, (and we can put "see style" with a link to the section) but we have to elaborate somehow. I don't think the style section is a bad idea at all. Was there one to begin with? It was implied to me that there was. If so, why don't we put it back?
