Music classification edit

Should Stavesacre really be listed as "Christian Rock"? That is a label that they have fought to shed. I would list them as simply a rock band and perhaps somewhere in the article discuss the faith of the band, but make it clear that they are not a "CCM" brand. --Wugmanmax (talk) 22:20, 22 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Article redesign edit

I have redesigned the article layout, adding section headers for History, Discography & videography and Band members (including Former members). I also added a band bio box and a table for the discography. Andy 18:19, 17 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

Nice job for a band that deserves it. PhilipR 02:33, 28 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

Choosing the name? edit

Should it be mentioned somewhere that the name was chosen by picking a random word in the dictionary. I think it was either Bellew or Solomon that did it. 68.63.248.123 20:05, 3 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

As I recall the story, it was Bellew. Go ahead and stick it in, I think it's noteworthy. But we need a source.--Velvet elvis81 06:04, 7 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

GAN on hold edit

  • The image is replaceable fair use, which isn't allowed (see WP:NFCC#4a). I found nothing on Flickr
  • The lead really should be expanded to 2+ paragraphs
  • "however, are currently" - probably best to just start a new sentence here
  • "played in The Blamed" - make note here that it's a band
  • "Salomon enjoyed the owners." - enjoyed working with the owners?
  • Add a wlink for Stephen Thomas Erlewine
  • "the band toured for nearly two years and grew immensely tired of the touring" - overuse of "touring"...use a different word
  • Infobox says they're still active, yet you say they've broken up? (Also needs mention in the lead.)
  • After that anouncement, they said they were unsure if they would actually disband. Burningclean [speak] 02:03, 13 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Leave me a note when done. Cheers, dihydrogen monoxide (H2O) 01:53, 13 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Supergroup? edit

Are Stavesacre truly a supergroup as described in the lede? I know most of the members had associations with other bands but it seems like Stavesacre doesn't fit the typical understanding of a supergroup. Retswerb (talk) 06:06, 31 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

I would argue that if a source can't be found to support the term, it would be appropriate to remove. Walter Görlitz (talk) 06:11, 31 March 2020 (UTC)Reply
