German Metal Band Tragedian - Article review overdue for monthsEdit
Hi! :-) In July the Wikipedia page for German Metal Band Tragedian was created in the Draft namespace, as suggested there. Since then we are waiting for the article to pass the review process, which should take weeks (as mentioned on the Drafts page), not months.
Could you give me a hint how we can get the article though review so it will be moved to the normal article space? Or is anyone of you able and willing to please do a check / draft review?
There is already an article in the German Wikipedia (Tragedian on German Wikipedia) which fulfills the stricter criteria of relevance there. The band exists since 2002 and released 3 albums with the fourth on it's way.
Discussion of Alternative Vision (alternativevision.co.uk) on the reliable sources noticeboardEdit

Request for information on WP1.0 web toolEdit
Hello and greetings from the maintainers of the WP 1.0 Bot! As you may or may not know, we are currently involved in an overhaul of the bot, in order to make it more modern and maintainable. As part of this process, we will be rewriting the web tool that is part of the project. You might have noticed this tool if you click through the links on the project assessment summary tables.
We'd like to collect information on how the current tool is used by....you! How do you yourself and the other maintainers of your project use the web tool? Which of its features do you need? How frequently do you use these features? And what features is the tool missing that would be useful to you? We have collected all of these questions at this Google form where you can leave your response. Walkerma (talk) 04:24, 27 October 2019 (UTC)
Additions to Timeline of heavy metal and hard rock musicEdit
Apologies for not knowing the group's protocols, but I respectfully suggest Link Wray's Rumble be added to the timeline. It had a large influence many notable hard rock artist.
Should Khors be listed as a National Socialist black metal band?Edit
Slipknot and Michael PfaffEdit
There is a discussion regarding the identity of Slipknot's new touring member. Previous discussions begin at Talk:Slipknot (band)#Michael Pfaff. Current discussion at Talk:Slipknot (band)#Bargain?. --DB1729 (talk) 12:59, 17 May 2020 (UTC)
Editing activity at Simone SimonsEdit
I have some thoughts on some recent activity there, and want to reach a consensus on the matter. Is it acceptable to describe Simons as a "model, influencer and blogger" in the intro? For more details, and to comment on the matter, see Talk:Simone Simons#Describing Simons as a "model, influencer and blogger" in the intro. Mungo Kitsch (talk) 02:54, 1 June 2020 (UTC)
Adding to Annual Metal PagesEdit
I tried, previously, to add my favorite virtually unknown band, Damnation Angels to the 2020 in Heavy Metal Music page, and was informed that, in order to minimize clutter, only bands with pages can be added. So I contacted the band and got their permission to add them, did my research, and created their page, which is now officially pending review. What is the best approach going forward? Can I add them now? Or should I wait until the draft is accepted?
- Okashiikessen, first of all, bear in mind that you don't need permission from a subject to write about it on Wikipedia.
- The article could benefit from more sources; currently half of them are self-published and Metal Archives is not considered reliable because its content is user-generated. Here are some good sources I found that could help reinforce its notability: , . Victor Lopes Fala!•C 19:41, 8 July 2020 (UTC)
- Victor Lopes, dude, thanks! I'll add these in. And, yeah, I know I don't NEED their permission, but I didn't want to do the work if they already had a gameplan for getting it up on their own. Also, I can't figure out why my link to the new metal albums list for 2020 isn't working above. Actual link:
- Still figuring out the various code bits here. Okashiikessen (talk) 14:09, 10 July 2020 (UTC)
- Okashiikessen, article titles are case-sensitive, i.e. 2020 in Heavy Metal Music and 2020 in heavy metal music are technically different pages, but only the latter exists. Victor Lopes Fala!•C 15:04, 10 July 2020 (UTC)
Years / decades in heavy metalEdit
Hello. How should an article like "YEAR in heavy metal music" look like? Do you think the current format can be improved to be more appealing? I know there are always debates about the genres in heavy metal; maybe the albums released in a year should also specify the subgenre they belong to (obviously, with a source). For example, in 2020 in heavy metal music, Perdida by Stone Temple Pilots is not metal at all. As far as I know the band was never metal (I see it was considered alternative metal according to the infobox), but clearly not on this album.
Request for Comment on the GWAR talk pageEdit
Hi, I got here from the section on how to publicize a Request for Comment, so I hope this is an appropriate place. There is a discussion at Talk:Gwar about how to write the name of the band's bar. It could use more opinions because there are very few people that have weighed in so far. Thank you. In loco parenti (talk) 11:32, 5 August 2020 (UTC)
