Requested move 16 June 2016
edit- The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the move request was: Not moved per oppose reasoning about song titling differences. Oppose votes have not been countered. (non-admin closure) — Andy W. (talk · ctb) 01:02, 24 June 2016 (UTC)
Run the World (Girls) → Run the World – The latter page was moved to Run the World (Jennifer Lopez song) and then retargeted to the former by Chasewc91, suggesting that the Beyoncé song ought to be a primary topic. No disambiguation page per WP:TWODABS. GeoffreyT2000 (talk) 01:54, 16 June 2016 (UTC)
- Strong oppose "Run the World (Girls)" is the name of the song. The "(Girls)" part is not a disambiguator. Do not make up titles just for the sake of conciseness. Compare this to Only Girl, which redirects to Only Girl (In the World). SSTflyer 04:29, 16 June 2016 (UTC)
- @Chasewc91: check the talk page of the JLo song. Consensus for having the page at Run the World has been established through a previous RM discussion. I have reverted your move because it has not been discussed. If you want to move that article away from the base title, feel free to start an RM discussion on its talk page to see if consensus has changed. SSTflyer 04:40, 16 June 2016 (UTC)
- Note that I am not opposed to moving the JLo song away from the base title. I think Chasewc91's move rationale was reasonable. My revert was purely procedural, as it contradicts the consensus established at a previous RM discussion. SSTflyer 07:31, 16 June 2016 (UTC)
- The result of an RM that 3 people commented on? What bullshit, Wikipedia is not a bureaucracy and you shouldn't have reversed the move if you didn't have a problem with it. If someone had an objection later it could have been dealt with then... in any case, obviously I oppose this proposed move as the name of the song is "Run the World (Girls)". - Oppose, non-sense, "Run the World (Girls)" is the official and most common title. © Tbhotch™ (en-2.5). 07:01, 19 June 2016 (UTC)

Edit: Added Recognition of Tofo Tofo
editHi everyone,
I have just edited the Background and Release subsection under the Music Video heading to include reference to the dance group Tofo Tofo's contributions to the music video. Not only did Beyonce use their dance moves (which were found on Youtube), but she also received personal coaching by Tofo Tofo on their dance style and featured the dancers in her music video. Clearly, Tofo Tofo had a significant impact on the music video, and I think that their contribution should be recognized.
Thanks! Gbciv3 (talk) 04:11, 1 June 2017 (UTC)
