1/4 mile¼ mile – The current title of the article is not how fractions are written. The current title means January 4th mile. Because that is not what we are talking about, the page should be moved. 122.61.73.44 (talk) — Preceding undated comment added 05:14, 18 January 2021‎ (UTC)Reply

  • Support - per MOS:FRAC. Primergrey (talk) 22:01, 18 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
  • Support. Use of these characters is commonplace. The current could be read as 1st of April mile. Ambiguous formats should be avoided. The ¼ character compares well against the undesirable / character in a title. Not sure why it shouldn’t be Quarter mile. —SmokeyJoe (talk) 22:09, 18 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
Prefer Quarter mile. —SmokeyJoe (talk) 22:10, 18 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
  • The title of this disambiguation would be better if no fractions were used. In other words, change it to words: quarter mile. Cheers - CZmarlin (talk) 00:06, 19 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
  • Quarter mile per WP:COMMONNAME. It's not only the most common usage in mainstream publications like the New York Times or CNN, but also in enthusiast media like Cycle World or Road & Track. Displaying the fraction is not unheard of but it's the exception. Yes, ¼ mile is an improvement over 1/4 mile, but we can do even better. --Dennis Bratland (talk) 00:43, 19 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
  • Support move to quarter mile. None of the entries is actually named literally "1/4 mile" or "¼ mile" so "quarter mile" is a better title. JIP | Talk 15:04, 19 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
  • Prefer Quarter mile to either of the other titles. Why worry about figure formatting when there is no need for figures? 50.248.234.77 (talk) 19:28, 19 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
  • Move to Quarter mile. Rreagan007 (talk) 19:54, 19 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose as proposed; MOS:FRAC says do not use this format for science and math, and this is a measurement. WP:TITLESPECIALCHARACTERS says to avoid this as well. -- 70.31.205.108 (talk) 02:15, 20 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
