Record?

I'm a bit suspicious. There are no sources left in the article citing that he actually kicked a 69 yard field goal, and in the NFL he was 1/4 in field goals with a long of 32 and 1/3 in PATs. Is there a reliable source out there to back up this article's claim? Bzweebl (talkcontribs) 03:35, 20 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

  • Only 5 years too late. I added one, will add more, plus I added the video of the actual kick. I lived there at the time, remember it, actually. It was a big deal for the locals. Still is. So yes, it needs more cites, but it is absolutely true. The other cites are down and Wayback doesn't have them. And if you aren't familiar with Abilene, it is an extraordinarily windy place, semi-arid, wind is always blowing. That *might* have had something to do with it, considering Shotwell is a fairly short stadium. Still in use, I believe. Dennis Brown - 19:56, 14 July 2017 (UTC)Reply
