One reason it isn't here is because no one has ever been able to come up with a reference that he actually said it AND that the saying is an actual quote and not just someone "saying" that he said it. Ckruschke (talk) 23:30, 15 March 2012 (UTC)CkruschkeReply
When it comes to inclusion, it doesn't really matter whether he actually said it or not - it's still the main reason he comes to the attention of *non-baseball-fans-outside the states* like me - which is most people. Having said that, I'm only a 'minor' editor usually, and am unfamiliar with the relevant WP policies. Another poorly written and researched article. The trivia is highly suspect, at best, and there is too much discussion of Gamble's afro.
