They don't think it be like it is, but it do. edit

i like how the article is the highest google result when the quote isn't even here Despatche (talk) 14:17, 13 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

One reason it isn't here is because no one has ever been able to come up with a reference that he actually said it AND that the saying is an actual quote and not just someone "saying" that he said it. Ckruschke (talk) 23:30, 15 March 2012 (UTC)CkruschkeReply
Hey Ckruschke, you don't think it be like this, but it do. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.168.103.138 (talk) 01:00, 27 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

When it comes to inclusion, it doesn't really matter whether he actually said it or not - it's still the main reason he comes to the attention of *non-baseball-fans-outside the states* like me - which is most people. Having said that, I'm only a 'minor' editor usually, and am unfamiliar with the relevant WP policies. I generally only correct language, factual errors and omissions that jump out at me - so just my two cents. Ride the Hurricane (talk) 04:41, 5 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

He still hit 200 career home runs in just over 9000 major league at bats. edit

Another poorly written and researched article. The trivia is highly suspect, at best, and there is too much discussion of Gamble's afro.
