boxes don't align
editI added a couple of albums in the discography under "other albums", but the frames, or boxes, don't seem to align perfectly. What am I doing wrong? werewolf (talk) 04:43, 25 November 2017 (UTC)
black metal?
editI editd it from black metal to doom-death, how the hell is orphaned land black metal? oO
Jews are anti Christian black metallers
editJews are anti Christian too. You know that, right? Remember when those men burned those churches in Norway? They were Jewish Norweigiens.
Fenriz? Jewish Varg? Jewish Samoth? Muslim, but alot of people get the two mixed up. Faust? Hare Krishna/
Jews are anti-Christian? Um, they're not Christian, but how does that make them ANTI-Christian? Orphaned Land seems to express support for all Abrahamic religions: Judaism, Christianity, and Islam (The muslim religion). As for what you mention, it doesn't really prove that Jews are anti-Christian. I mean, I could disprove that statement by naming a single person. I don't know; Joe Lieberman was very much against Marilyn Manson, whose image can be seen as anti-Christian (The whole Anti-Christ Superstar thing), and he's Jewish. Umm... David Bryan of Bon Jovi is Jewish, while Bon Jovi himself is a Christian (Specifically, a Catholic). Let's also bear in mind that black metal fans and even performers aren't necessarily anti-Christian. Hellhammer doesn't support anti-Christianity or Satanism, though he isn't Christian. He was also against those church burnings. I don't think there's any way in Hell that Hare Krishnas are anti-Christian, seeing as how that's a form of Hinduism, and how a Hindu god basically said that the worship of any god is the worship of him.
Sarcasm I was being sarcastic...
This isn't the place for sarcasm or jokes.
Magazine Article
editDoes this article really still need the "magazine article" tag at the top? I'm gonna take it down now. Scourge441 14:36, 29 August 2007 (UTC)
Genre
editSince there has been edits from death/doom to dark metal before, we need to find out what genre they are since the operatic gothic female/growling compositions sure are present. Leaving it oriental metal and progressive metal both being there will not correctly classify them, we need one more to finish the job. Dark metal probably won't classify them very well either but something needs to be done. 71.167.172.54 07:23, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
- Dark metal is a mix of black with doom or gothic metal. That doesn't sound like what this band is. Blizzard Beast $ODIN$ 20:10, 3 March 2008 (UTC)
- Well they never can qualify as black metal but they do have gothic metal/symphonic tendencies (the sorrowful/doomy vocals of female vocalists with death growls) and are death/doom according to rockdetector. Not sure if we can have a death metal hybrid of dark metal or not but then again I see the dark metal article being deleted because of no sources. −₪ÇɨгcaғucɨҲ₪ kaiden 20:56, 3 March 2008 (UTC)
- Oh and, the recent edit to the gothic metal article and its characteristics can pretty much define the lyrics of this band: "Gothic metal is lyrically influenced by gothic novel as well as medieval and horror stories. It deals with topics such as death and bereavement, tragedy, love, despair, emptyness and religion." taken from the gothic metal page. They take all of these but tragedy, horror and medieval stories I think. −₪ÇɨгcaғucɨҲ₪ kaiden 21:42, 3 March 2008 (UTC)

Nonsense?
editIs this "There are religious translations in the album name as well; with “Nor” meaning “the light” in Arabic, “Alila” meaning “the night”, “El” meaning “God” in Hebrew and “Ra” meaning “bad” or evil. This means that the album can be translated as; “God of Light – Evil of the Night” and gives reference to its concept." truly nonsense? because I got it from their official site..... −₪ÇɨгcaғucɨҲ₪ kaiden 20:19, 7 April 2008 (UTC)
Ok dude I'll make it clear (I'm Israeli so I speak hebrew) - El=God, Nora=Big,Great and Alila is an ancient hebrew word that usually means "night" but I think it has a different meaning here. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.132.157.253 (talk) 15:01, 18 August 2008 (UTC)
